I usually start my stories with either an experiment in mind or it's inspired by a dream. In this case it was both. I had my first Harry dream where he actually acknowledged me and was sweet and goofy. The experiment part was trying my first person present narrative. After reading Dark and After, I decided I wanted to try it since my other works were third person limited POVs.

Review for Chapter 1:
Can I just start off by saying WOW! THAT WAS FREAKING AMAZING! The whole time I read the chapter, I kept feeling like I was going through someone's personal journal. Normally, stories in first person narrative end up sounding a compilation of jumbled thoughts. Especially in the recent fanfics that I have read. The author had such a beautiful flow throughout the chapter, that there was not a single moment when I thought "This part wasn't necessary".
The chapter started off with a beautiful description of Jude's love for England, and how every little thing about the country intrigued her. I, personally, have not been to England but was feeling as though I was visiting the place through Jude's eyes, while reading the description of the streets, the weather, the people and just the country itself.
It then went on to describe the type of personality Jude had and I actually felt a connection to her. Her love and obsession for the Beatles and Paul McCartney left me feeling as though I had found my soul-mate! :P What was funny though was the fact that the entire time I read about Jude, I felt like I was being taken back to an old 80's, black and white movie. To be very honest, I kept pretending the entire time that the story was written back in the 80's, until the part where Harry puts the beanie on Jude's head. :P That just popped my bubble.:P
I was extremely impressed by how Niccie kept the chemistry between Harry and Jude very subtle. Normally, writers (including myself! :P) end up making the girl look like a love-stricken fool. But you can see the maturity with which Niccie portrayed Jude. I myself have felt a personal connection to Jude, considering I try to be subtle when I like a boy.:P
The ending for the chapter was so beautifully written that I couldn't stop myself from clicking Chapter 2. However, I stopped myself from reading it cause I knew I wouldn't be able to stop for a quick review if I went on.:P
CiaoNiccie, you are an absolutely amazing writer but I'm honestly very surprised that you are writing here for a blog when you can actually write a book! :D You have honestly reminded me of The Great Gatsby and the glitz and glam portrayed in the story.
I just had one question, can Harry be Jude's Gatsby? :D -N.K

Oh my...i love everything about this story!!! I think this chapter got to me..because i literally had to take a break to calm down..i am sooo jealous of Jude!!!!!!!!!!!!
