I sat on my bed looking into my closet. My stomach was fluttering and I had no idea what to wear for Harry's dinner. Would the boys be there too? Was this going to be casual? What the hell am I going to wear? As if hearing my thoughts, my phone buzzed with a message from Harry himself.
HARRY: dress somewhat formal. Just us. I wanted our first official date to be without these four idoits ;)
My heart began racing at the words "first official date". I cannot even begin to explain how happy I am to call Harry my boyfriend. I would never tell him this in person, but I felt like we were somewhat together in the seven months we talked. Now, that I said that in my head it sounds obsessive, clingy, and delusional. What I mean is that, the way he went out of his way for me evolved something to more than just a crush. I typed back a quick reply before turning back to my closet. Suddenly, something caught my eye.
A pretty, mint green dress hung from one of the hangers in the front. I instantly tried it on and was amazed. The soft fabric hugged each of my curves in all the right places. The length ended about three-quarters down my thigh in a thick white band. Another white band was at the top of my chest as well as a white bow on my waist. The color complimented my blod hair and tanned skin nicely. I paired the dress with white flats and a necklace spelling out my name. I was about to grab my purse and head out when my dad knocked on the door.
"Going out?" He asked. I nodded realizing he probably knew about Harry from my mother at this point. Dad leaned in the doorway eyeing me carefully.
"I have a date," I told him, loving the way the words rolled off my tounge especially when they are associated with Harry, "How do I look?"
"You look...beautiful," he replied giving me a half smile. His little girl was growing up and I know how difficult that must be for him to understand. "Do you need me to take you?" I nodded once again, following him out to his car. When we pulled out we drove in silence. It wasn't awkward though, it was a comfortable silence. I knew he had questions; the way he fidgeted with the steering wheel and tapped his leg. When we neared the hotel I realized we had no chance of getting up to the door. Fans were lined up, just waiting and screaming.
"Dad, can you pull around back?" I asked. He gave a slight nod, recognizing the commotion up front, and turned the car toward the way I ran out only a few days ago. I decided to see if Harry could come help.
ME: There is no way I can get in the main doors...care to sneak me in?
HARRY: on my way! :)
Within minutes I saw Harry's head poke out from the back door along with the little hotel manager who helped us the other day. I gave my dad a quick kiss good-bye before running to meet Harry at the door. His eyes grew wide as I came closer. When he came into better view I noticed he was wearing a white dress shirt, with sleek black dress pants, and a long black tie. The sleeves on his dress shirt where folded up his forearm making him look...formal yet casual...attractive.
"You look beautiful," he breathed, breaking into a smile as I came to stand in front of him. My cheeks flushed with heat. Nobody I've ever dated has complimented me with such sincerity as he has.
"You don't look so bad yourself," I said with a wink. We must have been gazing at each other for a bit longer than we thought because the manager let out the fakest cough I've ever heard.
"Care to join me for dinner?" Harry questioned while holding out his bare forearm. I placed my hand on his arm, a smile growing bigger by the second on my face. Harry looked down at me with his playful green eyes.
"I would love to," I replied. We headed further into the hotel, knowing this would be the best night of my life.
