Lie To Me

Riley's P.O.V.

“Riley!” Hunter called, I smiled.
“Hi.”
He pulled me in tightly for a hug. “So, I just have one more meeting then we can get going to the ceremony.”
“Hunter I--”
“Shh. I promise, it will all work out.” he smiled, “The penthouse had everything you’ll need to get ready, including your parents.”
“My parents are here?”
“Of course. You can’t get married without your parents.”
“Right.”
We walked inside, and he left me in the elevator to the penthouse.
“Riley!” Mom exclaimed.
“Mom. Dad.” I embraced them. “I can’t believe you guys are here.”
“Neither can we.” Dad spoke.
“Let’s get you ready.” Mom smiled, “Darling we’ll be right back.” she called back to my dad.
She quickly lead me to the bathroom and shut the door.
“Riley Ann, what are you doing?” she whisper yelled.
“I don’t know, mom.” I cried softly.
“Is this really what you want? I saw you with Luke at dinner the other night and no one will be mad if you still love him.”
“Hunter will be.”
“Hunter will be hurt, babe, not mad. If something isn’t meant to be you shouldn’t force it. If it’s meant to be you let it go and if it comes back then it’s yours. Luke came back. You two have been inseparable since birth. It took you far too long to be with him, and then I know how badly it fell apart, but you both still very clearly want this.”
“And what if it doesn’t work? What if I go through all the heartbreak again for nothing? With Hunter there are no other women, tours, and tabloid lies. He’s the easy choice.”
“No one ever said love was easy.” she wiped my tears away and gave me a smile.
“I know what I have to do.”

A while later I finished curling my hair and zipping my dress.
“Ready?” Mom asked, I nodded.
“You look beautiful.” Dad smiled.
“Here goes nothing.” I sighed.
They both walked me down to the lobby.
“I think I’ve got it from here.” I let go of their hands and walked for the car waiting for me outside. “Thank you.” I spoke to the driver.
“Mr. Benjamin is excited to see you Miss Jones.”
A short drive later I pulled up to the Magic Kingdom.
“Riley.”
“Hunter.”
