The Scholarship
Mr. Robbins POV:
Today is the last day of their high school life. As I enter the noisy class room, I can see Juliet doing her job as a class monitor. But today no one seems to listen to her. Why would they? It’s their last day. As I reach my desk, I tell everyone to sit down. They still keep making noise.
“Keep quiet, students. It’s your last day. Don’t make me scold or punish you” I said with a loud voice. They stop making noise.
“I have an announcement to make. I’ll call some of your name, when I’m calling your name you’ll raise your hand, understood?”
“Yes, sir” they replied.
“Juliet Anna Williams” “Emma Kate Evans "
"Sophia Ivy Miller" " Lily Eve Jackson"
They raised their hand. I showed them a little smile. They are the four students I adored the most.
I reached their seats and gave them those papers they need to fill.
“Have fun and study hard” I said.
I came back. I knew they were going to scream. They did. Almost at the same time. “OH MY GOSH.”
“Is it true?” “We’re really going to London?” “St. Joseph College? Isn’t it one of the prestigious schools in England?” “Are we really going to study there?”
“Yes” I answered four of their question with one word.
“Say proper goodbye to your friends and family” I said.
“It’s weird” Lily said.
“What is?” I asked.
“We four got selected in the whole school. We were best friends and we still get to be best friends even after moving to a different continent.” She said.
“Yeah. That’s weird.” I said with a smile.
