Chapter 7

The hall where our dance classes will take its place is incredible. It looks like all of the other halls I've danced in before, besides the fact that it was like 10 times larger, containing mirrors with gold-painted frames all over the walls. Majestic would be a word that described it well, just like the rest of the school.
Just by putting one foot in the room made me quite excited. I just wanted to show off all the moves I could do, all the techniques I’ve learned in the recent past and the choreography I was using while I applied to the school.
But it’d of course be a bit strange to suddenly start dancing. Those things only happen in musicals, and really quirky comedies…

I must have been looking like a kid on Christmas Eve, because Louis couldn’t look at me without laughing. But I was not the only one being excited.
You could notice all of the students who was here for dancing. Their eyes were big as tennis balls and they could barely keep their hands away from all the golden details that adorned the room, just like me.

It was now my turn to laugh as we arrived to the hall where the music lessions would take its place. Louis and the other students who will be using the room went with a great enthusiasm and poked on just about everything, while Mrs.Norris was shouting “Don’t touch!”

The first tour was over and I picked my cellphone out from my pocket for the first time in a few hours. A number of missed calls and unread messages was the first thing that popped up. They were all from Mark.

I sighed and went outside. This wasn't something I wanted my future classmates to hear.
I typed in Marks number out of a habit, not surprising considering all the times I’ve called him. “Call”
He must’ve had his cellphone in his hand as he replied after barely one signal. “
Sarah! I’ve called you like a thousand times.”
Four times, but okay…

I pulled myself together as I replied with a cheerful voice. “I know, I saw all the missed call! Mark, it’s my first day at school, remember?” Clearly he didn’t remember. A sigh of relief was heard on the other end of the phone. “Right! I thought you were avoiding me.” He said while he chuckled, as if it was funny. But it wasn’t funny, because it was true. I was avoiding him. I was avoiding my very own boyfriend.

“Ha-ha.” was my very attempt to laugh with him. “What do you want?”
He didn’t answer me in a few seconds, and I almost thought that the call has gotten interrupted. But nope, it hadn’t.
“Mark?”
“Right! I just wanted to say that I forgive you and stuff.”
I needed a few seconds to really comprehend the thing he just said.
“Excuse me?” I couldn’t find any proper words.
“Yes, it’s okay Sarah. I know you had been drinking that night, so…” He began. Drunk? I had not been drinking a single drop that night since I knew that I would be forced to ride a very drunk Mark back home.
“So, I forgive you. I know you didn’t meant what you said… and I also said some stuff I didn’t meant. You get it?”
No, I don’t.
“You’re forgiving… me?”
He’s laughing. “Yeah, that’s what I’m saying!”
No, no, no. This is not okay.
“You don’t understand anything, Mark!” I spit out. This is as far from okay that it could possibly get.
“You’re the one cheating, you’re the one lying, you’re the one drinking… and you're the one to forgive me?! How can you even think that I’ve got something to apologize for, when you’re the one acting like an… an asshole!”
Mark is not the type of person to back down, but neither am I. Not today.
“Stop calling me that! You’re the one who’s behaving badly, okay? Screaming and accusing me of things I haven’t done… Seriously, I don’t know what’s going on with you Sarah. You’ve lost your mind.”

I rub my index finger frustratingly around in circles on my temple. “I don’t have time for you, Mark. Seriously, I wont let you waste my time anymore. I’ve got better things to do.” Mark’s laughing. “Hah! Like what? Dance? When will you understand that you’ve got no future? You will not become a professional dancer, which you’re always nagging about. Even if you go to the best school in England, no one will ever manage to make you good enough, sweetheart.”

I almost lost my breath. His words felt like a punch in my chest. I wanted to scream. Scream about me, certainly being a dancer. The fact that this was particularly difficult to get accepted, but I, Sarah Fuller, managed. I wanted to scream…
“Oh well, I’ll see you around. Have fun attending your little dance-school!”
I didn’t manage to yell back at him, as he turned off the call. Although his words are insignificant they still do hurt. Especially since they’re coming from someone I love. Love?

I didn’t know if I wanted to scream or to cry, to be angry or to be sad.
With firm steps I went back inside again. I mostly looked down to the ground so that no one would see how upset I was. A lound bang appeared and I almost ended up with laying on the ground, but I somehow managed to grab the person next to me. “I’m sorry.” I mumbled and the person turns around with a heavy sigh.
I looked up to see what actually caused the powerful thud. Rather whom.
Styles. Harry Styles.
“Are you okay?” He’s asking me, a little bit worried, but not enough for me to show any mercy.
“Watch your steps!” I yelled at him.
He’s now looking anxiously towards me. “Are you really okay?”
When will you understand that there’s no future?
“You look a little bit pale…”

No one can make you good enough, sweetheart. Marks brutal words are repeating over and over again in my head.
“Leave me alone!” I burst out.
Harry is now looking a bit worried. “I didn’t mean to…”
“You don’t know me. You don’t know who I am. You have no idea about what I’m able to do! You’ve got no fucking clue!” I’m roaring as a tear is finding its way down my cheek.
“Wait… what?”
I now realize, I replied to Mark, not the person standing in front of me.
Tears formed with a great speed behind my eyelids, and I turned around before they managed to overflow. I run away. I’m running away from everything.
