Because of the information some of our regular classes got canceled, so we were now sitting in the school’s big rest-room. We just found out that we’re going to dance waltz during prom, and all of our regular classes were canceled the whole week. The teachers seemed to think it was an appropriate time to mix our homework’s with the kind of pressure we will be having by learning ourselves (and other students) to dance in less than a week.
We, students, didn’t like the idea though.

“Okay, what are we supposed to do? Can any of us can dance waltz?” Liam glanced around as I raised my hand. With a laugh from the boys’ side, I embarrassly put my hand down. “We already knew that, Sarah.”
I bit my lip while Zayn continued to laugh.
“Someone has already offered to teach me. She’s from…” He stopped as the guys started to throw the pillows from the sofa towards him. I duck to avoid getting hit. “Zayn has got himself a girlfriend indeed!” Niall exclaimed as I understand why they’re throwing pillows at him. Boys.

“Hey, don’t be rude towards Zayn!” I said and the guys settled down.
“He may not want to talk about his new girlfriend.” I continued as I threw a pillow at him.
Everyone’s laughing loudly and Zayn’s looking quite embarrassed. Oh my god. I’ve become one of the guys. How did this happen?
“My girlfriend offered to help me another one…” Liam said as he let his gaze swept around. I had almost forgotten that his girlfriend was a dancer. Louis raised his hand. “I would love to get some help!”

“Good! Then maybe Niall can dance with Sar… Ouch!” Liam jerks as he’s scratching the back of his head. Louis looks accusingly at him, but then looks completely innocent when he discreetly nods towards Harry’s direction. I glanced towards Harry to see what he meant by the nod, but the only thing I can see was how hugely embarrassed he was.

Liam clears his throat. “Or you could of course help Harry out… eh, he needs it aswell… uh, I meant help.”
Zayn sighs, Louis looks almost a bit stuck-out and Niall nods encouragingly. I understand nothing. “But if Niall doesn’t have someone to help him I could.”

The guys are looking anxiously at each other and it almost looks like they’re trying to determine about who should be the one to respond. “Uh, no.” Louis said as he shakes his head quickly. “No.”
The others match in, shaking their heads. Harry buried his head between his hands.
“Oh, okay… Well I guess I could help Harry if… if that’s okay with you?” I worriedly glanced at Harry, and I could see that he had raised his head from his hands. “Sure.” He responded with his deep voice.
The other guys nods and smiles towards each other.

“Put your hand around my waist.” I said. Harry bites his lip as he’s looking embarrassed at my waist. Does he really need to seem like he’s about to vomit every time he looks at me?
“I don’t have any cholera if that’s what you’re thinking.” I said with a grim as I looked away. I felt how he put his hand around my waist, and then I glanced back at him. He was looking straight into my eyes. Yeah, that’s it.
“Good.” I continued with a smile. “Just follow me, okay?”
He nods as I sweep my foot backwards.

He’s really good at this! He’s much better than I’d expected. He was easy to learn and worked with all of my criticism quickly. We rehearsed over and over again until it’s almost set.
“We’re going to try one more time, okay? From the beginning.” He nodded as I took the first step, however, I didn’t make long before he took over. We spun around on the floor and I couldn’t help but smile. The end was near and he spun me out, just like we’d practiced. With a smooth motion he spins me back into his arms. Something goes wrong, and instead of bringing my back towards him, we’re now face to face. We’ve never been this close to each other before and I could feel his chest vigorously moving up and down.

I giggled, and I got surprised when I saw that Harry grinned. The very grin I had seen before, the first two times I met him.
It almost felt like his grin disappeared as quickly as it came. He took one step backwards as he left my hand.
Now I’m annoyed. No, I’m furious. “I don’t think that this is going to work.”

He didn’t move. He were just standing there in front of me in a minute, just petrified. “I don’t know what I’ve done to you, but I guess I’ve done something since you don’t… you don’t…”I couldn’t find the right words to say. “I think it’s best if you find someone else who might be able to help you.” I said as I begun walking slowly towards the exit. I bend down to quickly pick up my shirt.
“If you even need me, you’re going to be fine on your own. You’re… really good, really.” I added.

He’s still not moving. Surprised? Not at all.
I control my steps towards the door to leave the room.
“Shit.” I turned my head a few centimeters and I could see through the mirror that Harry wad buried his head in his hands. He’s now pulling his hands through his curly hair. “No, wait.”
Fast but still gentle steps approached. A hand on my shoulder made me turn around. “We need to get that last step right, one last time?” He bites his lip as he’s looking with hope in his eyes. “One last chance. Please.”

I don’t have to put my shirt down since Harry has managed to coax it out of my grip. He’s now taking my hand to lead me out on the dance floor. He takes hold of my right hand and raised it while he grabbed my waist. His grip is harder this time. “Ready?” He asks me with a grin.

Things are finally getting along with Harry and Sarah. I hope it will stay that way, but you never know, do you? x.
