Hello, Darcy.

Memories Part 1.

Harry’s P.O.V.
I ran quickly out of the car, leaving Darcy behind. Everything at the moment felt as if I was in a movie, the tense feeling was just unreal. I passed by Melinda and didn’t bother signing in as I just kept running and running, hall by hall, door by door. Her room felt so far away, until I finally reached it. I stood by the doorframe and for a moment I stopped at my tracks not being able to breathe. The only sounds I hear is my broken heart, trying to beat. There I saw her…

Olivia’s P.O.V.
Everything was surreal, my surroundings were a blurr, my heart racing slower and slower… My eyes almost shutting close, I knew it was my time. I failed the treatment, most of all, I failed myself. There at the corner of my eye, I saw Harry. His face looked as if he’s seen a ghost, no sad emotion, but scared. I looked at him deeply, before I saw the tears stream slowly down his face as he walked slowly over to me. “Olivia…” He choked out. It was too late before I could stop the tears from rolling down my face. The last of my own tears. “Harry…” I said weakly. I felt his weight shift down on the bed as he sat down next to me. I felt his large hand take mine, squeezing it tightly. No words were said as he sat there silently, holding my hand up to his mouth, giving slow but sweet kisses. A tear strolled down my cheek, knowing this would be the last time I’d be feeling his sweet surrender, his tender care, and lastly his love.

First Flashback…
I entered a nice little café across from the campus after a long day at school, I sat by the little round tables that had chairs for two. I dropped my bag down tiredly as I slumped myself down on the chair. I wasn’t in need for a nice cup of tea or coffee really, I just wanted to stick around and relax a bit… Maybe read a book? I pulled out a copy of a book that the English Literature class is reading and began to skim my eyes throughout the words. Suddenly my attention was caught as I heard someone in front of me clear their throat. I quickly looked up to see a familiar boy, long tall figure with brown curly hair but his eyes were covered with a pair of darkest black shades. His arms crossed whilst a smirk played on his lips, making him seem cocky, waiting for me to reply. “Yes?” I asked curiously.
“Anyone sitting here?” He asked, his familiar grungy but raspy voice didn’t settle my brain for I knew who this young chap was, but yet it still didn’t ring a bell.
“No.” I said hesitantly, as I placed the book down on the table, keeping my eyes on him.
“Like the view?” He asked cheekily. From the moment I knew he was a cocky one. I scoffed whilst rolling my eyes, slumping back into the chair crossing my arms.
“Maybe if you took off those sunglasses, I wouldn’t be as curious as I was now.” I replied.
“I’m pretty sure you’d faint if I showed you who I was darling, besides I’m trying to hide from these girls.” He smirked.
“You cocky little shit.” I said nonchalantly.
“Hey now love, no need to be feisty.” He chuckled. He placed his forearms on the table as he leaned in closer. “Well for such a pretty girl like you, I wouldn’t mind showing myself.” I scoffed unrulingly as he finally slid his shades off. My eyes widened in surprise as I saw who it was, but a part of me felt no humor for who the flirt was, obviously didn’t surprise me.
“I’m Harry Styles.” He smirked.
“Obviously.” I said rolling my eyes. His jaw dropped, shocked as to what he just heard.
“What do you mean obviously?” He asked pissed.
“I guess you didn’t fool me the first time Styles, that tone of flirtatious trying-hard-to-get was obviously you.” I replied. “Look, if you’re trying to impress me, it’s not working.”
“Come on, I’m Harry Styles for godsakes.” He argued.
“Exactly.” I replied. “Besides, why try to get at me when you have loads of other gorgeous girls surrounding you?”
“Guess, I found one of them.” He smirked.
“I don’t surround you, Harry Styles.” I stated. “Now, I’m trying to read a book here, do you mind?” I asked, holding the book up.
“Can I atleast get your name?” He begged. I looked up to find myself trapped in his gaze of the perfect shade of emerald eyes. I didn’t know what I was feeling, but my heart was racing fast.
“Olivia.” I stated. “Olivia Paige.” He bit his lip whilst slightly smiling.
“That’s a lovely name.” He smiled. I slowly smiled at him.
“Look Olivia, I’m sorry if I made it seem like I was really arrogant and cocky at first but I’d really love to get to know you…” He said with his eyes pleading.
“Sure.” I smiled, finally giving in. “I’m sorry if I’m acting like a bitch to you, just a long day at school.”
“Well in that case, how about a nice cup of tea?” He smiled. I nodded. He got up walking to the counter and I caught myself watching him, there was something about him that lured me in so much. I couldn’t be falling hard for him that fast right? As he turned around I was still looking at him and he shot me a smirk as he came over with the two tea cups in hand, placing them carefully on the table.
“Thank you.” I smiled, reaching for the cup.
“No need to thank me love.” He smiled. “So, tell me what happened during the long day at school.” He said, taking a sip off his tea.
“I got dumped.” I admitted, I looked away trying not to see his pity look.
“Guy must be a douche.” He stated.
“I guess… I mean he told me he loved me just a few days ago and then I catch him snogging one of my bestfriends.” I complained. Honestly, whilst I was talking about Danny my ex… I didn’t feel anything, no heart break.. no nothing. The pain I felt earlier suddenly went away.
He shook his head in disbelief. “You know Olivia, if I was your boyfriend… I’d never treat you like that.” There was a brief moment of silence.
“What are you insisting?” I asked curiously as I took a sip from my cup.
“Would you like to go on a date with me Olivia?” He asked. I almost choked on my tea as I set the cup down trying to get a hold of myself.
“A date with Harry Styles?” I asked, raising my eyebrow.
“Not just a date with Harry Styles.” He stated. I gave a questioning look on my face.
“I’m not the guy who you really think I am Liv.” He said. Wow, he just called me Liv. “I’d like for you to go on a date with me, and see who I really am.”
“How do I know you’re not tricking me?” I chuckled.
“Phone.” He said nonchalantly. I quickly grabbed my phone out of my pocket and handed it to him. Once I placed my phone in his hands, I noticed how massive they were. God, those ha- He began typing away as he handed me the phone.
“You’ll be expecting non-stop calls and texts.” He said. “So when is your beautiful self available, love?”
I couldn’t help but melt inside when he called me love. “Friday night.” I simply stated.
“Friday night it is.”
Second Flashback…
It was already Friday night, Harry and I haven’t stopped exchanging texts and calls since Monday at the café. I was really excited for tonight. It was only 5:00 P.M, and our date was at 8:30, but I already picked out an outfit.
It was already 7:00 and I decided to get ready. I stepped into the warm shower, massaging my head with the fruity shampoo and conditioner, and scrubbing my skin fully. I stepped out of the shower as I wrapped my head in a towel, tying the silk robe around me.
I began rummaging through my closet since the first outfit I chose didn’t satisfy me, I didn’t want to look like a hooker. I finally picked up a nice black silk romper perfect for the hot summer night, and an olive green cardigan. I paired it along with some black ballerina flats. I let my hair air dry as I applied a small amount of lipgloss, then spritzing some designer brand perfume.
I felt my phone vibrate and I knew who it was instantly. Before I could even look, I quickly ran down the stairs and outside.
There I saw the handsome boy, I just met a few days ago. His brown mop of curls messily placed around, making him look effortlessly hot, and his emerald eyes that just pierce through me. I quickly ran to his car as he got out and opened my door. “Hey babe.” He smirked and kissed me on the cheek. My eyes widened in surprise, and I felt myself blush crimson red.
As he finally got in, I felt the shyness creep in. I couldn’t dare look at him without my heart racing fast. I kept my eyes on the road, not even knowing where we are heading.
“You alright Liv?” He chuckled.
“Yeah, why?” I asked.
“You seem a bit nervous.” He smirked.
“I guess you can say that.” I admitted. He chuckled.
Without a word said, we finally made it to a somewhat isolated area. The park?
“I’m sorry if this isn’t what you expected from a date with Harry Styles.” He said, with a tone of worry in his voice.
“No no…” My voice drifted off as suddenly fairy lights went on. The moment he touched my hand, I felt that spark in between us. He held my hand fully as we walked through the fairy lights, and there in the middle of the trees laid a nice blanket with pillows and basket. It was honestly the perfect thing I could ever ask for.
“Wow.” I said, in shock.
Before I could even say anything else, he dragged us to the blankets. “You like?” He asked.
I shook my head. I saw a pang of disappointment cross his face. “I love it.” I stated, quickly wrapping my arms around his neck as I tiptoed.
We sat there talking about random but funny things, our lives, and what not. Surprisingly the food he made was absolutely delicious. Now we lay flat on our backs, just looking up into the stars, with a brief moment of silence. The tension wasn’t awkward for it was perfect.
“You know Harry…” I paused. “You’re not as bad as I thought you were.”
He chuckled lightly, making it sound like a melody in my ears.
“I’m glad you you changed your mind about me.” He smiled. “Media always makes this image of me look as if I’m a cold-hearted manwhore… I’m really not.”
“Well if they got to spend the evening with the chappy Harry Styles, they’d know the real you.” I joked. His killer smiled shot generously at me, making me blush.
“You know Liv, you’re different from everyone else.” He stated. “You just don’t fall hard over someone in a second like those screaming fans.”
I giggled, but deep down inside… I was falling for him, fast.
“You’re different as well Harry, you’re not who I thought you were… I’m glad I agreed to spend this evening with you.” I said as I propped myself up.
He smiled kindly as he propped himself up as well. I didn’t notice how close we were until I felt his sweet warm breath tingle my lips. His eyes were slowly closing as I stared deeply into the bright emerald orbs. I flickered my eyes down to his lips to see they were plump and ready, but before I knew it I felt the spark as soon as his soft lips brushed over mine. The feeling was ectastic once he fully placed his lips with mine, as I began to slowly sync them with his.
“You’re beautiful Liv…”
-------------------------------------------
Third Flashback…
Countless days and months of dates have we been on. I’m glad that I agreed to have that date with Harry, let alone I’m thankful enough that I met him at the café. Never have I felt so alive with anyone, somewhere inside me felt as if he was the one, I put my full trust into him for he only knew how I was or how I felt… He was like the best friend I never had.
I finally graduated High School, here I was in mid July already applying for college, yet tonight was mine and Harry’s 5 month anniversary dinner date. My phone began vibrating under my pocket, I took a glance on the screen and my heart raced immediately.
“Harry!” I squealed.
“Liv…” He said blandly, I couldn’t quite get the tone of his voice, was he tired or angry?
“Harry, are you alright?” I asked curiously.
“Yeah, I’m fine… Get ready now, I’ll be there in 20.” He said, but before I could say ‘bye’ he hung up. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as to why he was acting like this.
I stripped off all my pajamas and quickly put on the outfit that was prepared in front of me. A nice pair of black skinny jeans, a crème coloured peter pan blouse and the same old ballet flats.
I looked at myself in the mirror one more time before I heard the sound of a car beeping. I quickly trudged my way down the stairs and outside to see Harry again. I shot him a friendly smile as in return he gave a half smile. He got out of his car again and opened my my door. “Evening Love.” He smiled.
“Hi.” I said shyly whilst shrugging.
On the way to the restaurant, there was something odd about Harry I didn’t quite catch. He was being quiet and mysterious, yet we’d have little talks on the way.
“Harry?” I asked nervously, fumbling with my thumbs
“Yes?” He asked, looking over at me.
“Are you okay?”
He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “I’m alright, why would ask that?” He asked, his tone a little bit harsh.
“Just asking, you seem a bit off.” I said softly.
“I’m just stressed out from the studio that’s all, Love… don’t worry about me, alright?” He asked. I nodded as he removed his right hand from the wheel and grasped mine softly, squeezing it. I smiled at him as he kept his attention on the road.
----------------------------------------
We finally arrived at his flat, eager to spend the night here but of course Harry didn’t know that. Tonight I wanted to give him my all, despite we’ve only been together for 4 months. I wanted to show him how much I have fallen truly madly deeply in love with him.
“I’m going to change real quick.” Harry said, whilst walking up the stairs. I nodded as I took a deep full breath looking around his huge mansion, I took a seat in the living room just wandering my eyes about.
I then thought about what I wanted. I knew for a fact I was ready, yet I was still nervous and couldn’t quite cope how it would be like. What if I sucked? What if he thought of me as a boring slut? I got startled when I heard his loud footsteps trudge down the steps. He didn’t even change for a fact he just removed his black blazer and kept his white tee and black trousers on. He smiled whilst walking over to me.
“Sorry if I took so long.” He said nervously.
“That was only 30 seconds.” I giggled. He chuckled as he motioned his finger at me. “Come here.” He said huskily.
I slowly made my way to him, now standing in front of each other without any word. “Happy Anniversary Baby.” He smirked and twirled me the other way with my shoulders.

“Happy Anniv-
Before I could say anything else, I felt a cold chain snake around my neck. I lifted my hand up and felt the precious chain. I looked down to see a nice silver chain with an infinity sign encrusted with silver diamonds. I quickly turned back around to see Harry smirking.
“Harry, you didn’t have to get me anything.” I said, looking down.
“I want to.” He said and leaned in giving me a quick kiss. “I’m sorry it’s not much, Liam helped me pick it ou-“
“Harry, it’s perfect… Thank you.” I said and I quickly wrapped my arms around him as I pressed my lips onto his. The kiss was getting heated, more and more passion was getting put into the kiss. There was so much lust in the air.
“I love you.” I said softly. He quickly picked me up bridal style as he carried me upstairs to his room, this was it. He gently placed me down on his bed, peppering soft kisses from my face down to my neck. I bit my lip whilst the sweet feeling was taking over me. Little moans slipped from my mouth as he sucked on my sweet spot.
I tugged on the hem of his shirt, hinting for him to take it off. He grabbed a hold of my wrists and looked me dead in the eye.
“No, Olivia.” He sighed and got off of me, a sharp pain of disappointment stabbed me in the chest. “I don’t want to take something special away from you.”
“But I’m ready Harry…” I said softly. “And I will show you that I am.” With that I straddled myself over him, removing my shirt as I placed my lips back on his.
“Just tell me when to stop Liv…” He said softly, as he flipped us back over to my back.
Our loud panting of exhaustion filled the quiet room as Harry was still on top of me, his eyes were wide open now and the bright emerald orbs lured me in.
“I. Love. You.” He said in between kisses. Never had once someone has made me feel so beautiful as to the way Harry looked at me… Never in my life have I ever felt so loved…

We laid in silence, just watching the moon shining through the window. Harry brushed his fingertips over my sides.

"Harry?" I asked softly.

"Hmm?" He hummed.

"You're so quiet..." I giggled. "What are you thinking about?"

He sighed and snaked his arm fully around my waist.

"I don't know how I can tell you this Liv..."

"I'm sure its not that bad." I joked.

"I'm leaving for tour in a week." He blurted out. I felt disappointment wave over me.

"Not for long right?" I asked.

"A year..." He stated.

"Oh." I whispered.
----------------------------------------------------
Fourth Flashback…
A loud sob escaped my mouth as my blurry teary eyes fixed attention on the little white stick. I felt as if the world just crashed down on me, and my life was already over. What was I supposed to do now?
I quickly dialed one person I knew that would help me through this. A sigh of relief waved over me as his mellow voice answered the phone.
“Hello?” He answered.
“Niall?...”
“Olivia, what’s wrong?” He asked. The tone in my voice made him worry.
“I need hel- Can you just come over my place please?” I pleaded whilst the tears began to stream down my face.
“Okay, I’m on my way!” He said, and hung up.
I settled on the couch as I heard the doorbell ring. I quickly shot up and ran to the door to see the blonde blue-eyed boy standing there with pity over his face. I quickly wrapped my arms around him as my heart broke and shattered. The tears escaped my eyes as he rubbed my back. “Sshhh.” He said softly. Of course I didn’t have to tell him, for he knew. The way I complained of morning sickness and my increased appetite, but today the white stick confirmed it all.
“Does he know?” He asked, with disappointment in his voice. I shook my head.
“I don’t know how Niall.” I whined. “I’m just ruining everything for him.”
“Don’t say that Liv…” He said. “I’m pretty sure that Harry will support you no matter what.”

I saw a smile forced on his face for I felt the sudden guilt. I nodded.

----------------------------------------------
I watched them load their backpacks and suitcases into the bus, I couldn’t help but watch in misery. He’d be leaving and he wouldn’t be here for a while…
“Alright boys, we’re set!” Paul yelled. The sharp painful tears stung my eyes as the words rung in my ear. I jolted when I felt someone’s arms snake around my waist. “Babe…” His grungy voice said. The tears finally strolled down my cheeks as Harry let me go.
“Babe… Don’t cry.” He said softly, cupping my chin with his hand, using his thumb to wipe away my tears. “It won’t be long.”
“A year.” I laughed, but my laugh wasn’t filled with humor.
“I won’t give up if you won’t.” He stated. I shook my head. “It’s not just that either Harry.” I argued.
“What?” He asked confused. “Not just what, Olivia?”
“I know you’d hate me for this and that I’ve been hiding it for 2 months now.” A huge lump choked me in my throat as I tried to escape the words.
“I’m pregnant.” I said. His eyes brightened as he quickly knelt down to my stomach, his smile and his expression was like a little kid on Christmas getting a ton of gifts. I looked at the corner of my eye to see Niall standing by the bus, looking blandly over us. I gave a kind smile as he gave a forced one in return.
---------------------------------------

“Tonight on E News, Harry Styles 1/5 of One Direction was confirmed to have slept with model Gwen Hollis just two nights ago when the two were reportedly sneaking into his hotel. Tune in to see more.” I couldn’t help but scoff at this fake remark, but my eyes widened when a picture of a familiar curly haired boy was holding hands with the blonde girl, snuggling close to his chest. I didn’t know how to feel, was this fake or real? I knew I trusted Harry and that this was just a bunch of bullshit. I felt a kick in my stomach and I rubbed my belly. Suddenly the phone rang and it was Harry’s number.
“Babe! So happy you called at the right moment, our little girl was just kicking.” I chuckled. There was a brief moment of silence.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Liv?” He finally answered, there was a weird tone in his voice… he sounded somewhat drunk, definitely not sober.
“Harry? Where are you? Are you alright?” I asked nervously.
“I’m fine Liv… I just, what you saw on the news today-“
“Wasn’t real, I know Harry I trust you.” I said.
“No… It was.” He stated. There again I felt the sharp pain stab my chest, twisting and turning. I winced at his words.
“Har- Why?” I asked as the tears made their way into my eyes painfully.
“Liv, it was a mistake.” He argued.
“Were you drunk?” I asked.
“No-“ He said frustratingly.
“THEN WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS HARRY? YOU KNOW YOU HAVE SOMEONE WAITING FOR YOU AT HOME, THAT IS CARRYING YOUR CHILD!” I yelled.
“I’m sorry…” He choked out.
“I thought I trusted you.” I sobbed.
“Please don’t leave me Olivia, please-“ I hung up the phone before he could even continue.
I flung the phone across the room with so much anger, making it break into a million pieces.
----------------------------------------------------
Fifth Flashback…
2 years later…
I watched Darcy bounce up and down on the floor, as she played with her toys. She was the twinkle in my eye. I smiled watching her, my only daughter and my only hope. But there was one thing I knew that would complete this, Harry…
I hesitantly dialed his number for I knew he wouldn’t answer anytime soon ever since I moved here to Manchester. Finally a familiar grungy voice answered.
“Hello?” He answered. There was a brief moment of silence as to what I couldn’t believe, his number was still the same. “Hello?” He asked. My eyes began sting with tears.
“Harry?” I asked softly.
“Olivia?” He asked curiously.
“Yes, Harry it’s me.” I said happily as the tears made their way down my cheeks.
“What made you call?” He asked, the sudden change of his voice went from curious to bland and disappointed.
“I just wanted to see how you are…” I said drifting,
“Look if this is about Darcy, Liv…” He sighed. “I don’t know if I’m ready for a family anymore…”
“What made you change your mind?” I asked.
“I just- I-“ With that, he hung up.
----------------------------------------------
14 years later…
“It’s positive, I’m sorry Ms. Paige.” The doctor said as he rubbed my back.
“Is there anything we can do to cure it?” I nervously asked.
“There is a treatment Olivia, although only 1 in 5 women survive this… You’re already at stage 4, but we can always try.” He said softly. I nodded. “I’ll think about it.” He nodded.
---------------------------------------------
Darcy was already asleep as I sat in the round table, with dimmed lights, cradling my head in my hands. It was already a quarter to 3, but I knew I had to do this. I dialed his number once again feeling that same nervous jittery feel as my thumbs clicked the numbers. A took a deep breath as I clicked.
“Hello?” I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion to the deep voice, was this Harry?
“Harry?” I asked nervously.
“Olivia.” He stated blandly.
“Harry, just before you hang up please hear me out for a second…” I choked, I felt the tears begin to well up in my eyes.
“Harry… I know that 14 years ago you didn’t want to be apart of Darcy’s life and I know I’m sorry I called, but Darcy really needs you now at this time, she has no one else…” I sobbed.
“What makes you say that Liv?” He asked.
“I just came back from the Doctor’s today and I got a check up, results were positive for brain tumor… stage four.” I paused.
“Liv- I’m sorry.” He pleaded. “I’m so so sorry, I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
“Thank you.” I whispered.
---------------------------------------------------
I sat here silently on the couch feeling the nerves kick in for I’d see Harry from the last 16 years. I was nervous for how he’d react, for how he would be. But all I know is that I was just doing this for Darcy, and that I didn’t care if he didn’t care for me anymore.
The doorbell rung and I jolted up, fixing my shirt with my hands as I took a deep breath and opened the door. There the boy I once loved standing in front of me was no longer a boy but a man. No words were said, for silence was in the air. I caught myself luring in his emerald orbs. I abruptly look down motioning for him to come in. “Olivia.” He said.
We now sat around the table, taking sips of tea reminding me of the day we first met. But it was awkward, we sat here in silence exchanging a few glances here and there. “Harry, I don’t know how much I can thank you.” I stated, smiling kindly.
“You don’t need to thank me Olivia.” He said.
“I don’t know who’d give Darcy to, to take care of.” I said. He nodded in agreement.
“Did uh- Is there any treatment?” He asked. I nodded. “But not everyone survives off of it.”
“You say it like it’s so sure.” He said.
“Because it is, it’s too late for it anyways.”
“It’s never to late for that Liv.” He argued. “If we have to get you the treatment then we will.”
“Why? I’m dying anyways!” I argued.
“Because I still love you Olivia..” I felt my heart drop but instantly beat in a second. I saw the lust in his eyes as the words poured out.
“I will do anything for you…”
-----------------------------------------------------
For so much that has happened within the last 16 years, I lost him for a long period of time and never would I ever expect to have him back for a short period of time. Never would I ever feel so happy that I completed my life with him in it. Although the pain and sorrow was for that I would never see him again, I know that deep down inside my heart, he was always kept in that special place.
-----------------------------------------------------
Harry’s P.O.V.
I hummed her as she fell back asleep. I slowly got up and walked into the lobby and see if Darcy is there. Instead, the familiar blonde-haired man was standing there with bloodshot swollen teary eyes and a broken look on his face.

I walked over to him. “Nia-“

“Where is she?!” He snapped, with his pale white fists at his sides. I could still smell the lingering alcohol in his breath.

“Niall, sh-“
“How dare you even step foot in this place after what you’ve done to her.” He hissed.

“That was the past Niall, everything changed.” I argued calmly.

“If she chose me, I would’ve taken better care of her.” He growled.

“Niall, you’re still drunk- you don’t know what you’re saying.” I said. He finally pushed passed me and walked along the hallways.

Notes

Sorry it took me so long to update and that it's not your cup of tea :( ! There will be a part 2 to it with a twist ;) And please be in mind that Gwen Hollis is a fictional person, she's not real lol
