~3.20~

The beginning sunset sun was burning hot and bright as I sat on the edge of the street curb with my wrists handcuffed together in front of me.

Then Dad showed up. He talked to the cops for a moment, then a cop came to me, told me to stand up, and unlocked my handcuffs.

“You’re lucky to have a rich daddy that can pay off your little hissy fits.” The cop said to me as the cuffs came off.

“Emelia, what the hell was that?” Dad asked me calmly as we were driving home.

“I’m sorry.” I said. “I know I shouldn’t have done that. And I’m sorry.”

“Then why did you do it?” He asked.

“That awful magazine, Enquire Australia, called me Tranny Manny, called me Emmett, said that you said I disgust you,”

“You know those are just lies they write to sell, right? You know that’s not true?”

“Yeah, I know that. But, seeing that the entire country would read that, on top of everything the jerks at school said, it just boiled me over.”

“What do these jerks at school say?”

“Just stupid things. They tell me I have a penis, that I’m a boy. They tell me no matter how many dresses I wear or how much makeup I put on, I’ll always be a boy.”

“Back when I was in the band,” Dad said, “This magazine came out that painted me in a really bad light. It twisted my words around and made it seem like I was a man whore that slept with four girls a night. People hated me for it. Fans tweeted me, crying, saying they’re cutting themselves because of me, it was awful. But I learned that when that sort of things happens, if you don’t ignore it and take the high road, you’ll always be the one that looks like trash. I’m sorry that this lifestyle was handed to you without consideration for what you wanted, but you’ve got to find a way to ignore all the negativity out there.”

Dad was fairly sympathetic towards me, and I was grounded for a week. But that seemed like it was not very harsh at all.

Once I got home, I saw that my Antiandrogen was on the counter. I aggressively ripped open the packaging and took the first two pills.

I was finally on hormones.

Well, hormone blockers anyway.

Notes

Next chapter is intense, but I love it. It's Emelia giving her speech about transgender issues.
