Prodigal
Summary
Ever heard the Bible parable of the Prodigal Son?
Emmett Hemmings is 14, and is lost. Luke is raising him as a single parent, and trying to do his best. Emmett is trying to find himself while sorting out his indifferent alcoholic mother and overwhelming feeling that he is responsible for breaking up his father's band, and his life. Luke loves Emmett more than anything, but that doesn't stop Emmett from becoming his modern day prodigal son.

Emmett Hemmings
14. Main, POV character that is trying to find his way in the world. He feels responsible for ruining his father's life and feels like he has to change who he his in order to earn his father's acceptance.
Jack Hemmings
Emmett's uncle that gives advice to Emmett and reveals information towards the end of the story that changes Emmett's perception.
Liz Hemmings
Luke's mother and Emmett's grandmother. She loves Emmett and loves being a grandma.
Luke Hemmings
35. Single father raising Emmett on his own. He loves his son more than anything and is doing everything he can to be a good parent.
Sarah Hemmings
15. Emmett's cousin, Ben's daughter. She is best friends with Emmett and they share everything with each other.
