Harry had significant blood loss from his gunshot wounds. He also had blunt for trauma to the head that cause his brain to bleed; which caused him to have immediate surgery. The surgery from what I’ve heard went fine. The only problem now is that Harry won’t wake up, he has been in a coma for a little over a month now. Everyone keeps telling me to prepare for the worst in case he doesn’t come back. I don’t care what anyone says because I know he will pull through this; he’s just taking his sweet ass time.

“Doctor how is my baby doing today?” Anne asks as Dr. Ren comes in

“Actually his vital signs have gotten stronger and he has been having some involuntary hand movements.” He tells her

“So what does that mean? Is he going to be ok then?”

“It means that Harry is getting stronger day by day. The coma is actually doing him some good. It gives his body time to recover peacefully without any stress. It also means that he is not paralyzed and will possibly wake up soon”

“Oh my god are you serious!?” I blurt out

I’m sitting by Harry’s bed holding his hand and stroking his has as I stare at his beautiful angelic face.

“Yes, but I do have to warn both of you. Harry’s memory may not be the greatest. He may not have any memory or certain things or people” Doctor Ren says

“What do you mean? He won’t remember Anne and I?” I ask shakily

I try to hold back my tears as the doctor explains that because of the swelling and bleeding in his brain it could have caused some damage to the part of the brain that stores memory. I cry silently still holding onto Harry’s large hand. The doctor goes on about some other stuff but I zone him out focusing only on my Harry.

I lie my head on his chest so I can hear the steady thumping of his heart.

“Wake up baby; please come back to me” I whisper

I place a kiss on his forehead and another on his soft lips before leaving to meet Niall, Tessa, Mamaw, Elijah and my dad for dinner. Anne and Gemma are going to join us as well but there is some stuff Anne has to do here first before she can come.

HARRY POV:

I can hear everything that is going on. I can feel their touch and the smell of iodine in the air. What is going on? Why can’t I open my eyes? I ask myself. For weeks now I have been trying to open my eyes. Why is it so hard for me to do this one little task? I know what had happened to me, I hear the doctor talk to my mum about it every day. I want them to know that I am ok and that I can hear everything they tell me and that I am trying to come back. Today though was different I felt a sort of shock as my fingers twitched. I long to move my arms so I can wrap them around Emerson. I miss her and I know she misses me too. I wish my brain would work with me and just allow me to at least open my eyes so I can see her beautiful face.

I hear Doctor Ren as he tells my mum and Emmy that when I wake up I may not remember who they are. I feel myself get angry but can’t do anything about it. I silently yell in my head not to listen to him, I remember my mum, my sister and I remember my girlfriend. I wish he would just shut up and quit telling them that.

All I want is to wake up and see my family and friends smiling faces, I want to talk to them. I really want to go home and live in peace. Why is god doing this to me?
