Pretty Girls Hide Pain So Deep Inside

From that moment, Hope and Luke haven't spoken another word to each other. They slept in different rooms, and when they would cross paths in the suite Luke would turn his head away from Hope. That hurt her, even though she'd never show or admit that, it really hurt her. She wasn't lying when she told Luke she loved him, but she didn't lie when she told Calum those same words either. Her heart was a mess. She was stuck in a love triangle and she had no idea how to get out. But she also had no idea that her sorrow had only begun.

Two days later, Hope and Luke were on a plane making their way to Sydney. The only thing that they have spoken to each other was meaningless small talk, trying to make the direct, almost ten hour long flight, less awkward. It didn't work. Tired or the small talk, Luke spoke, this time with a serious topic on his mind.

- So what do we tell them? - Luke asked Hope out of the blue. - Do we tell them the truth?

- I...I don't know. It's your call. - She said. - They already hate me, so it doesn't really make a difference to me.

- Doesn't make a difference to you? - Luke raised his voice.

After getting strange looks from some of the passengers Luke continued to speak quietly.

- It's one thing to cheat on your fiance, and it's another to do it with his best friend. - He told her, his expresion unreadable.

- He...they all hate me either way, but you... They love you, you're their best friend, so do you really want them to find out that your the guy that got me pregnant? - Hope said, regreting saying the last part the second those words left her mouth.

Luke turned his head away from her.

- I'm sorry. - Hope breathed out.

- No, it's fine. - He said emotionless. - They deserve to know the truth, to know who their friend actually is.

- Luke...

- So, are you and Calum gonna be getting back together? - Luke asked coldly.

Hope looked at him, tears filling her eyes. She got up and walked away from him, entering the bathroom.

- Fuck. - Luke breathed out.

They spent the rest of the flight in silence.

Luke fell asleep not long after Hope came back, and Hope was listening to music and looking out the window, trying to clear her mind.

They made it to Sydney. The sun was setting when they landed.

They were still trying to make a low profile, but they weren't as bothered as before.

The two of them were standing in front of the boys' and Hope's former apartment. The door was unlocked. They walked in. It's safe to say everyone present was surprised, including Hope and Luke.

Scattered across the couches and chairs were Ashton, Blue, Romeo, Michael and Calum. But that wasn't what gave Hope a heart ache.

Michael seemed to have brought a souvenir from his stay in New Orleans.

There, sitting in Calum's lap, was none other than Nikki.

Maybe if Hope had know about her existance she wouldn't have been as hurt as she was, but Luke never had the heart to tell her.

All eyes were on Hope and Luke now. Everyone was looking at them wide-eyed.
