It had been about 2 months since the break up. Both Harry and Chloe's reps released a statement about it. As expected, the fans went crazy, they even made different teams, #teamharry and #teamchloe. This confused her, because as far as they knew, it was a clean break. But it was definitely going to get crazier soon.
Chloe had written a song, that basically described exactly what happened between her and Harry. She wasn't planning on releasing it, it would just be something for her to listen to. But her manager loved it, so now it's a single! What's even worse is that she's performing it for the first time ever at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2 days, so everyone would know.
She wasn't even planning on going, because she knew that she would have to see him and answer questions about him, and frankly, that's something she doesn't want to do. But of course, she didn't get a choice in that matter. Her job was to just smile and look pretty.

Chloe waited in the Limousine as it drove her to the venue. This was the first award show she had been to with Harry. Of course, it was bringing up bad memories. This was not going to be an enjoyable experience for her. First, Harry is going to be there, Next, she's singing a song about Harry and their break-up, and to top it all off, her seat is right in front of his. Chloe was contemplating running out of the vehicle and going home, but sadly, she already promised she would go. She continued to look out the window in silence until they pulled up to the carpet. Time to put on the fake smile!
She waited for her driver to open the door before stepping out. Screams and shouts erupted as she started to pose. Everyone screaming to get one picture of her. Why was it so important anyway? This confused Chloe a lot but she decided to not think about it. She continued to pose until she was told to move over. She went over to the fans and took more pictures. In the corner of her eye, she notices another limo pull up. She prayed it wouldn't be Harry but alas, it was. More screams erupted as they all got out of their car. Chloe found herself staring at Harry, and couldn't stop. Of course, Niall noticed her and ran over.
"Chloe!"
He gave her a big bear hug, almost crushing all her bones.
"Hey Niall!"
"Omg, I've missed you so much."
When she was dating Harry, Niall was her best friend. They would always spend so much time together which irritated Harry, but it didn't matter. She didn't get to see him much after the break up but she missed him a lot.
By this time, the rest of the band came over as well. Chloe said a quick "hello" to everyone before excusing herself. She knew that was kind of rude but she couldn't be around him, not right now at least. She knew she would see him the whole night, seeing how his seat is right behind hers but she would deal with that later. She walked over to an interviewer who seemed to be with Clevver News.
"Hi, we're Erin and Joslyn! Do you mind if we ask you a couple of questions?"
"No, not at all! It's nice to meet you girls!"
"Okay, so we heard that you have been working on your album a lot recently, when are we going to be able to hear it?"
"Well, you're going to be hearing a new song tonight but hopefully, more will come soon! I know I have some singles coming out soon, so be excited for that! But for the whole album, hopefully by August!"
"Next, we know you're nominated for 5 awards tonight, congratulations! But how does it feel to have such loving fans that support you through all this?"
"Thank you, and it's honestly amazing. I have some of the best fans in the world, they are literally everything, and I love them so much!"
"Okay, so last question, so we know that Harry is presenting the best pop video, one of the awards you're nominated for, so we wanted to ask you how is yours and Harry's relationship, post breakup?"
The question Chloe dreaded the most.
"It's good, you know. There's no hard feelings there. He's a great guy but we just thought we were better off friends." She said, lying right through her teeth.
"Okay, thank you for the interview! We hope to see you again soon!"
"Thank you! See you soon!"
Chloe finally found her seat after ages, and One Direction was already seated behind her. She went on her phone, hoping that the show would start soon and they wouldn't disturb her, which they thankfully didn't.
The show continued on, with One Direction won the two awards they were nominated for and Chloe, 3 of them.
It was soon time for One Direction to present the award and after that, would be her performance.
She watched as the band presented the award, her eyes fixated on Harry, no matter how much she wanted to move them, she couldn't.
"And the winner is… Chloe Gray!" Harry's voice echoed as everyone started to clap. Chloe stood up and immediately hugged the people beside her. She walked up to the stage, and gave a hug and cheek kiss to each member. Even though it was a second of hugging Harry, she still felt a spark. She really couldn't hate him, no matter what he did. She grabbed the award from Niall's hands and gave a quick speech thanking the fans and everyone on her team.
"Chlo, I need to talk to you after this." Harry whispered to her. The nick name made Chloe tense up, she had not heard that name for a long time.
"Um, not right now. I'm performing next, how about after?" She whispered back. He agreed and she ran off to get ready for her performance.
Chloe made her way backstage, she put in costume on just in time and went to her designated spot on stage. It was completely black, so they couldn't see her yet.
"And now, performing her newest single, "I'm Not The Only One" for the first time ever, please welcome Chloe Gray!"
Screams erupted from the crowd as the music started to play and the lights went up.

"I told you we shouldn't produce this song, it literally tells you everything that happened between me and Harry! Now everyone's gonna ask me about it! You told me not to tell anyone but then you make me produce this song?! What the fuck is wrong with you?!"
