Heartless Love

Ashley’s POV

I rubbed my eyes and looked at the time it was 4 am

I couldn’t sleep I turned to my side to see Niall laying next to me shirtless

I smiled at my best friend who was now my boy friend.

I knew I wouldn’t fall asleep so I decided to take a walk

I grabbed my phone and keys and tip toed out without waking Niall.

I grabbed Niall’s hoodie and walked out the door

I made my way out the complex door as the cold air hit me as I shivered

My phone buzzed

From: Unknown

Hey why are you up and outside? And if you’re looking for me look up-Harry

I looked up to see Harry standing in his balcony waving at me

From: Ashley

Well Hi! What are you doing up so late and where’d you get my number?

From: Unknown

I don’t kiss and tell: P I couldn’t sleep. Do you mind if I join you love?

From: Ashley

No I don’t J

I waited until I felt Harry’s presence next to me

“Hey”

“Hey love”

“So where are we heading”

“Just walking I guess”

“So what’s keeping you from sleep?”

“I don’t know exactly “

“What about you?”

“Don’t ask”

“Soo tonight was fun? I’m so happy for you and Nialler”

“Thank you and yes it was great to get to know you guys and it was lovely to meet the guys’ girlfriends”

We walked in silence for a while before we reached a park with the trees lit up with fairy lights

“Wow”

“Shall we?” Harry offered me his hand

I nodded as we walked through the park before we reached a bench

I sat down as Harry joined me

I looked at him when I realized he had beautiful green eyes and dimples

“Take a picture it’ll last longer”

I looked down blushing realizing I had been staring

He held my chin and looked me deep in the eyes

“I s something wrong Ashley?”

“No”

“You’re lying”

“Please tell me”

“You won’t understand Harry”

“Try me?”

“It’s not worth your time Harry”

“Ashley nothing can be more worth my time right now”

I looked at him confused what he meant

“Ashley?”

“Harry this might be easy for you but it’s not for me”

“Huh?”

“Being pulled out of a small town having your life changed in a matter of hours meeting new people making so many friends everyday

I’ve always been that girl who was a tomboy and had only one friend and sat in a corner and studied

I wasn’t the same before I was fat I had braces I had glasses

Nobody talked to me

I m not exactly used to changes ok?

I’m not a cool person pr a famous celebrity I’m just a very normal person”

He looked at me and shook his head

“Ashley it’s ok to be scared of change but sometimes change is good I don’t know if you will like this change or not but I can assure you wont regret it

And it was never easy for me or any of us it took us time and it will take you time and

you’re so much more than cool or famous you’re special and you’re different and leaving your life and moving in hours to a unknown place to work for unknown people that takes guts a lot of them and that is what makes you so awesome but there’s one problem and one problem only you should smile more and if you were still single my heart would have melted by your smile”

I looked into his eyes

I couldn’t believe what he had said

“Ashley?”

“Huh?”

“When do you plan on leaving my hand?”

He said picking our intertwined hands and smirking

I pulled away instantly

“You coming” He said getting up

I got up and walked with him as we headed back to the complex

On the way we started racing

I beat Harry as we both tried to catch our breaths

Harry looked at me and just than then

Time stopped

Butterflies erupted

Everything disappeared

It was just us two

I was interrupted with a strong cold wind hitting me

We both ran in and up to our apartment

“Good night”

“Good Night”

And with that he left

I took off Niall’s hoodie and entered the room and lied down

I smiled and closed my eyes

I felt a little less empty but not because of the boy next to me but the boy next door.
