Ashley’s POV

After a heavy lunch everyone was so tired that half of them were asleep in the car

I smiled as I Niall’s snoring. I had missed him so much. I put my head on his shoulder.

”So Ashley you’re from Mullingar?” Liam asked me

“Originally but I moved to Dublin a year before Niall auditioned for X factor”

“Oh so you live with your parents?”

“No. My mum became mentally ill after she lost her baby so she hung herself when I was 8 and after her death my dad suicide because of depression when I was 13. I was taken in with my best friend’s family aka Niall’s family till I got hold of all the wealth my parents had left me”

“I’m so sorry Ashley I shouldn’t have asked” Liam said his eyes full of sorrow

“Liam its ok it was a long time ago I’m ok now” I felt Niall hold my hand he knew I was lying

“You’re all awake aren’t you” I asked them as they all sat up

“Were sorry” they all pulled me into a hug

“Its okay guys really I’m fine” It felt good to be hugged

“Topic change!”

Louis exclaimed and groomed his fake beard

“Hmm so where you staying?”

“With this guy for now at least then once I earn the money I’ll buy another house”

“Oh yay you agreed” Niall hugged me

“But why will you move?”

“Because I don’t like being a burden on people’

“You got to be kidding Ash the last thing you will be a burden ok? You’re not going anywhere”

“We will see” I looked up at Niall knowing there was no point in arguing

After we reached a complex and everyone departed to their apartments me and Niall walked down the corridor.

“Welcome to my humble Le Coup De Tat”

“Niall you do realize you just said welcome my humble taking over the country by surprise”

“Ohh right well anyways welcome”

I laughed at his silliness and pulled his cheeks

Niall showed me around and showed me his bedroom.

I went to the bathroom to change into something more comfy and I was ready to become a victim of jetlag

“No of course not I’m just going to watch the game”

I turned towards the bedroom and climbed into bed. It smelt like Niall and I had missed it so much.

I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Niall’s POV

I watched the game as a smile stuck to my face

I was so happy it had been so long since I had seen that beautiful girl near me. So many years since I had seen her beautiful face that made me jump up and down with joy but just one problem how was I supposed to tell her I loved her. Every time I see her I wanna say it so bad but something holds me down but that is it the minute she wakes up I will tell her.

Ashley’s POV

I stretched and opened my eyes but I saw nothing but darkness

It’s probably night time

I got up and opened the door I went out to see Niall sprawled across the couch asleep I saw his well toned chest

He was so angelic when he slept but what was I doing why am I checking Niall out he is my best friend but but what if that’s the hole that never heals the emptiness is what needs to be filled but why Niall is Love what I felt for Niall all these years the comfort in his arms the vibe I got from him was it Love

I gasped and put a hand on my mouth

Oh.My.God I loved Niall

I went to the kitchen to get myself something to drink

“Hey you’re up huh”

“Yea want some juice”

“Sure”

I grabbed to glasses and poured some orange juice in them

“Niall I want to tell you something”

“Yea”

“Believe it or not I miss falling in love and all of that corny stuff you know”

“Really” Niall asked surprise in his voice

“Yea I guess but I want to as you this huge favor” I asked him regretting this already

“Sure”

“Be my boyfriend”

“What?!!” He exclaimed almost spitting out his juice

“Me really?” He asked looking me deep into my eyes as if he was looking for the humor in this joke

“You’re right I’m being stupid” I looked down ashamed of how awkward I had made the situation like what the hell was I thinking

“I just want that emptiness to kind of disappear you know” I felt tears blur my vision

“No that’s not what I meant as far as I know I would to be your boyfriend” Niall said tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear

My head shot up

“Are you serious?”

“Yes ash yes I love you’ he whispered to me kissing me on the lips

His kiss was so soft and gentle but I was supposed to feel better right but I felt the same

Time didn’t stop

I didn’t melt

Butterflies didn’t erupt

It all felt so normal

Maybe it will change Maybe it needs time

He pulled away as we both smiled but Love didn’t burn with passion in either of our eyes
