"I'm sorry Elliot..."

I slowly opened my weary eyes to bright florescent lights. Where am I? I look around at my surroundings remembering everything...

"Where's Elliot?" I say, weakly. My mom and another woman, who I'm guessing is another social worker, rushes over to the side of my bed.

"Oh! Hey honey. Are you doing okay?"

"Where's Elliot?" I ask again, frantically looking around.

"Calm down... He's with Uncle Steve." My mom looks down at her feet. I frown. The other woman takes a deep breath, then whispers something to mom. I feel anger boil up inside me, but I keep it controlled. My mom nods, walking out of the room.

"Hi Madisyn. I'm Ms. Cindy. I need to ask you some questions. Why did you take so much Tylenol?"

"Because I felt sick, why do you care?" I spat. I know exactly what happens to people like me. They get sent off to a hospital for insane people, and never come out. I'm not doing that.

"You don't just take over 60 Tylenol because you felt sick. Why did you take so much Tylenol?" She repeats her question sternly, demanding an answer.

"Leave me alone about it! Kay?" I roll my eyes looking out the hospital room's window. She sighs.

"Madisyn, I'd understand.My step daughter... My step daughter, Maria, she starved herself, made herself throw up... She went to an amazing place called Orange Haven, and is getting better.

"Okay yea I tried to kill myself, but I have nothing to look forward to in life."

"Your little brother Elliot." She smiles. Tears well up in my eyes, and start to pour out.

"We're going to send you to Orange Haven." She smiles, and rubs my forearm. "You'll be safe and happy there."
