Love is an Act of War

"You what?" Calum asks, shirtless, with his eyes wide. I take a deep breath, and my hold on the phone gets tighter.

"I said I think that we should leave." I repeat, staring him directly in the eye.

"W-Why?" He asks.

"Because if we don't we're probably going to get killed." I say, glancing at my phone.

"Where did you get that idea?" Calum asks. My face starts getting flushed, and I feel like I need to cry, which doesn't happen often

."A-Ashton. You know as well as I do that Ashton and Michael could take us all out in seconds if they wanted to." I say slowly.

"What so you think my gang is nothing?" He asks, suddenly getting defensive. I feel hot tears streaming down my face, and I immediately feel like an idiot. I keep going.

"No, Calum." I sob, throwing my hands in the air, "I love your gang, and I love you, but you KNOW what I'm talking about." I cry. I'm not even trying to cry, it's all just coming out this way. He just stares at me blankly, his arms crossed. I swallow not very thoroughly, "Calum, please."

"Adria, I can't just LEAVE." He says.

"I know." I look at the ground, a few tears dripping onto the floor. Calum sighs and walks over to me, wrapping his bare arms and chest around my shaking body. Everything Ashton said to me hits me so hard because we were friends our whole lives, and he's never lied to me about anything. And I don't want anything to happen to these people. Especially Calum.

"Calum told me." Luke says, closing the door and sitting on my bed.

"'Bout what." I ask flatly, already knowing what it is, going through my phone.

"About wanting to leave?"

"I don't want to leave. I want US to leave." I shrug.

"Us?"

I glance up from my phone, "You know. You, me, CALUM." I say.

"Oh. Right." Luke says.

"Uh, anyway." I laugh.

"I think we should do it." Luke speaks simply. I raise an eyebrow. "What? You know your stuff, if we're going down, might as well leave first." He shrugs.

"Okay. Now we just need to convince Calum."
