Love is an Act of War

"Calum." I whisper, poking his face all over. He groans and bats my hand away. "Callluuumm." I whisper again, poking him again.

"Whaaat." He groans, pulling me closer to him and hugging me. I laugh.

"You gotta get up." I whisper since I don't want to scream in his ear.

"Mm, why?" He asks.

"Because it's like noon already." I laugh.

"Ohh fuck it." He smiles, pulling me closer, which I didn't even think was possible. I smile. He's so freaking adorable.

"Calum." I whisper.

"Hm." He asks, with him eyes closed, but he's smiling. I kiss him.

"You gotta get up."

"Why?" He whines.

"Because if you don't, then your sleep will get all messed up." I tell him. He laughs and rolls his eyes.

"Okay mom." He smiles.

"Cal. If you don't get up, I'm tickling you." I smile evil. His eyes pop open and he hops out of bed.

"Okay, okay, I'm up!" He says.

"Hehe, yay." I smile, and walk out of his room.

"Evil." He whispers.

My phone buzzes as I walk down the stairs, so I open it (Yeah yeah, I have a flip phone, shut up).

ASH: So when are you coming over?
ME: Uh- I'm not?
ASH: Why not?
ME: I don't like you.
ASH: Oh, but Adria, I like you. Ugh, seriously A, you gotta be that stupid?
ME: Jesus Ashton! What happened to you?
ASH: Nothing, I just fell in love with a girl who broke my heart.
ME: I didn't break your heart, Ashton! I was already involved with Calum when you told me you liked me, and I'm sorry, but nothing ever happened between us! I just don't like you like that, get over it!
ASH: Yeah, you're right, now get over here.
ME: Why?
ASH: Jeez A, what happened to YOU? You never take risks anymore or something?
ME: Not with people I don't trust.
ASH: Fine. Just know one thing. That little gang you're in, isn't going to last.

I turn off my phone and stare at Luke, who was apparently standing right in front of me.

"Hi." I say, a little scared of the conversation I just had.

"Uh. Hey? What's up with you?"

"Nothing." I lie.

WHY IS EVERYTHING SO COMPLICATED?!

"Uh. I gotta go." I whisper, and walk back to Calum's room.

"Okay, A- I'm up, you can stop-"

"I think we should leave." I say, clutching my phone.
