What A Feeling

Niall’s session with Mark went well. He took out all his aggression on the punching bag.
Deep down he knows he can trust Becca. His lack of trust is with all these guys. Not only the athletes she is around all the time, but now her co-workers as well. Geez, that guy this morning looked like he walked straight out of a freaking magazine. I wonder what his story is?
Pulling out his phone, he finds out Chris’ last name. When he pulls up the guy’s instagram, he’s not happy with what he sees.
“What’s wrong?” Willie asks.
Niall fills him in. “And I just looked up his Instagram. Look at this picture he just posted.”
He hands his phone to Willie. The picture is a selfie of Chris with Becca behind him. She’s not looking at the camera, instead she’s writing in a notebook. The caption reads: “My co-worker is hotter than yours.”
“Niall, I wouldn’t worry about it, Becca isn’t even paying attention to him.”
“I know, I still wanna punch him though.”
Willie laughs, as he looks through Chris’ previous pictures. Then pausing on one in particular. “Have you looked through his other photos?”
Niall tenses. “No, why?”
Willie hands the phone back to him. The picture is a selfie of Chris and Becca. They’re at a restaurant, and the caption says: “She finally said yes.”
“She must have dated him.” Niall frowns.
“Just ask her about it, I’m sure it’s nothing.”
Niall opens his phone to text her, then changes his mind. He’s not sure what to say.

Later on that afternoon, Becca texts Niall, asking him to pick her up at Sky Sports.
He shows up at her work with a dozen red roses.
Becca gives him a kiss, taking the flowers from him. “Thank you, they’re beautiful.”
Niall smiles. “I missed you, B.”
“I missed you too, Niall. A lot.” She winks.
“Wanna show me around?” He asks.
“Sure.”
Becca shows Niall around the offices, introducing him to everyone.
She shows him her small desk.
“So this is where the magic happens?” He teases.
She laughs, then quietly tells him. “No, you know exactly where the magic happens.”
Becca winks and Niall laughs. Then someone clears their throat.
“Oh, and this is Chris.” She says.
“Nice to meet you, Niall.” Chris says. Then adding as Becca leaves them briefly. “You’re a lucky man, Niall. Trust me, I know.” He winks, then heads off.

At Becca’s flat, they have pizza. Then they cuddle together on the couch to watch a game.
Niall takes the control, muting the game. “Can we talk?”
“Of course. What’s wrong?” Becca asks.
“That guy, Chris. He posted a picture with you today on Instagram.” Niall says, not sure where to start.
“He did what? I never took a picture with him today.”
Niall shows her the picture.
“Oh, I’m just in the background.”
“Read the caption, Darling.”
Becca shakes her head. “Ass.” Looking up at Niall, she can see the hurt on his face.
“Hey, Irish, he’s nothing for you to worry about.”
“Did you date him?”
“We went on one date. I only agreed to that one date so he’d quit asking.”
“Today, he told me I was a lucky man, and to trust him, he knew.”
Becca frowns. “He was just messing with you. Nothing ever happened between us. He never even got a good night kiss.”
Niall sighs, feeling a bit better. Becca puts her hand on his thigh, leaning into him, her head resting on his shoulder as he puts his arm around her. “You’re the only guy I’m interested in, I swear.” She pauses. “Actually I’m pretty interested in those guys on the field, so could you turn the volume up?”
Niall laughs. “You got it, Darling.”
Pulling her in close, kissing the top of her head.
