“I didn’t attack them.” I said. “I simply told the world what was done to Calum and I.”

“Luke, Strands is a powerful, maybe even dangerous person.”

I suddenly got stiff. “What does that mean?” I asked.

“Just…be careful what you do. He’s going to be pissed.”

“So is everyone else.” I clarified.

“Just…I don’t know. Do you want to grab some take out somewhere?”

“Sure…” I said, suddenly nervous about what my brother told me.

Once we got to his apartment, I saw that Jack was there too.

“Is this a Hemmings family reunion?” I asked, trying not to sound bitchy, even though I was still slightly upset with Jack for not doing anything two days past when my mom kicked me out.

“Luke…” Jack said. “We want to talk to you about happened.”

I lost my appetite because my stomach jumped into my throat. “I really don’t want to talk about this.” I said.

“Why not?” Ben asked. “I need to know what happened and you need to reconcile with Jack.”

I took a deep breath and prepared myself for what was to come. I regretted leaving Calum’s house.
