One Direction Short Stories

Royal Halloween - Liam

I find myself overwhelmed looking through this costume store. So many amazing costumes. “Sam, what time is Lottie supposed to join us?” I’ve known Sam since we were kids. She’s known Lottie for a while now, introducing me recently. Lottie has invited us to come along to a Halloween party she’s attending.
“Here she comes now.”
I hear Sam but find myself drawn to the back of the store. On a mannequin in front of me is the most amazing costume I’ve ever seen. I’ve always loved Cinderella, this costume though is incredible.
“Would you like to try it on?” The store employee asks me.
“Yes, please.”

As I exit the dressing room, both Sam and Lottie gasp. “You look so beautiful, Olivia.” Sam says. “It’s like that costume was made for you.” Lottie adds.
I look at myself in the mirror. I feel absolutely magical. I know in my heart, without a doubt, that I must wear this costume to the party.
The girls and I spend the whole day together before the party starts. Doing each others nails, hair, and make-up. A fun beginning to what I’m sure will be an exciting night.
On the ride over to the party, Sam asks Lottie. “Which guy is throwing this party?”
“It’s Liam’s Halloween party.” Lottie answers just as we pull up to an incredible house.

Once inside, Lottie introduces us to several people. Everyone seems so nice.
It’s when we enter the main room that everything changes for me.

Looking across the room, I see him. Prince Charming. Have you ever had that moment? You see someone for the first time, and you literally can feel the cracks in your broken heart mending. To lay your eyes on someone, and feeling like all the pain you’ve been through was worth it….because it led you to this moment.
I’m frozen where I am, unable to move. I feel as though he and I are the only ones in the room. I take all of him in. Tall, muscles in all the right places. Strong arms to hold you, to protect you. Perfect hair, an intriguing shade of brown. Short yet longer on top, forming amazing curls. Curls I’d love to run my fingers through.
He’s incredibly handsome. By far the most handsome man I’ve ever seen. Yet what causes my breath to catch, is his eyes. Dark eyes, the color of a fine aged brandy. Filled with such kindness.
As our eyes meet from across the room, I wonder what he’s thinking.

The moment my eyes find her, my breath catches in my throat. She’s beautiful. Breathtakingly, naturally beautiful. It’s as though I can literally see her inner beauty shining through along with her gorgeous outside.
Her shiny blonde hair is piled up in a bun, completed with a light blue ribbon. It leaves her neck exposed. Oh how I wish my lips were on that incredible neck.
Although she’s wearing a costume, I can still see she has an incredible body. Womanly, curves in all the right places.
Her mesmerizing green eyes meet mine. All of a sudden I understand all that has happened this last year. The break up, no real desire to date, the longing, the loneliness. All of it bringing me to this moment. To this woman. My Cinderella.

I feel myself being led towards the Prince. Is this real or a dream?
Lottie brings us together. “I thought the Prince should meet the Princess.” She grins as she walks away.
He puts out his hand. “I’m Liam.” I somehow manage to say. “I’m Olivia.” As I put my hand in his.
He kisses it gently. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Olivia.”
“Your costume is amazing, Liam.”
He smiles. “Thank you. I found myself compelled to get it. I think I understand why now.”
I smile. “Where is your Cinderella?” I ask him.
“I don’t have one.” Then he grins, the most adorable grin. “Or should I say I didn’t have one? Would you be my Cinderella for the evening, Love?”
I blush. “I’d be honored to have you as my handsome Prince Charming, Liam.”

Liam introduces me to several people. We dance to a few songs before we take a long walk outside in the garden. We talk, learning a lot about each other. Why do I find it so easy to talk with him. Normally I’m a bit shy.
Liam stops walking, causing me to stop as well. He’s looking at me with such admiration. “You look so beautiful, Olivia.”
“Thank you, Liam.”
“What made you choose that costume?” He asks me.
I smile, remembering. “I’ve always loves Cinderella. However, when I saw this costume at the back of the store, I was drawn to it.”
Liam smiles. “Just like I was to mine.” Looking deeply into my eyes, Liam asks me. “Do you think this was meant to be? Tonight? You and I?”
I search his eyes. No games, just honestly, and hope. “I do, Liam. Have you noticed we are the only Prince Charming and Cinderella here?”
He grins. “I did notice that as a matter of fact.” He takes my hand in his. I feel the warmth and the comfort of his hand in mine as we continue to walk.
After a while, Liam stops near a large tree. He continues to hold my hand. Looking at his watch, he blows out a breath loudly, relieved.
“What?” I ask.
Liam grins. “It’s after midnight and you haven’t ran away.”
I laugh. “I’m not going anywhere. You can’t get rid of me that easily.”
Liam lightly touches the side of my face, letting his fingers trail down my neck to my exposed shoulder. “I don’t want to get rid of you, Princess. I’m trying to figure out how to make this night last forever.” He leans down, kissing my cheek sweetly.
“You’ve left me speechless, my Prince.”
“That’s a shame. I love the sound of your voice.”
I feel my heart melt at his words.

Back inside the house, the party is winding down. Liam is thanking everyone for coming. Sam finds me. “Are you alright?”
I can’t contain my smile. “I’m great.”
She laughs. “I thought that might be your answer. I’m so happy for you.”
“Thanks, Sam.”
“Lottie and I are heading out. I trust I’m leaving you in capable hands?”
I smirk. “They look very capable to me.”
We laugh together. She gives me a hug before leaving.
A few minutes later, all the guests have left.
Liam seems nervous. “Can I give you a ride home?”
I grin. “That’s ok, I’ve got my pumpkin coach.”
Liam laughs loudly, genuinely. The crinkles that form around his eyes, warm my heart. The sparkle in his eyes, causes my temperature to rise.
I smile. “I’d love a ride actually. Thank you.”
Liam smiles, grabbing his keys. When he turns back to me he pauses. “Olivia, I don’t want this night to end yet.”
“I was hoping you’d say that, Liam.”
He laughs. “How about we go get some coffee?”
“I’d love to.”

We drive around for a bit till we find an out of the way cafe, open all night. It’s well after one in the morning, the place is deserted. A sweet older woman greets us at the door.
“Well it’s not every night I get a Prince and a Princess on my shift.” She teases. “What
a gorgeous couple.”
She gives us our menus and a few moments to decide. I find myself distracted by Liam. My eyes shoot over the top of the menu to find his dark eyes already looking at me. We smile, then Liam’s look turns more serious. He’s looking at me, then bites his lip. I swallow hard, desperately wanting to use my menu as a fan.
Our waitress returns. “What would you like, Cindy?”
We order coffees and desserts.
As she walks away, Liam laughs.
“What?” I ask.
“Did you order pumpkin coffee and a pumpkin dessert on purpose?”
I laugh. “Oh, I did, didn’t I? Ironic.”
Liam reaches across the table for my hand. I watch as he rubs his thumb gently across the back of it, causing little sparks that run from my hand to my heart. I look up to find Liam’s eyes already on me. I believe I see in his what he must see in mine. Want.
Just then my phone dings, pulling us out of that intense moment. I read the text and smile. “What is it?” Liam asks.
“Lottie just sent me a text. She said she left my overnight bag at your house.” I look up into his eyes to gauge his reaction. He meets my eyes. Winking, he says. “Good.”
I laugh. “Is that an invitation?”
He smirks. “Most definitely.” He pauses. “No pressure though, Olivia. I have plenty of bedrooms. I just don’t want this evening to end.”
“Me either, Liam.”

Outside the cafe, at Liam’s car, he takes me in his arms. “If you’d like me to take you home, I will.” Then rubbing his hand up and down my back he tells me. “I’d really love it if you’d come home with me though. We can watch some movies, or talk, or whatever.” He grins.
I play coy. “Well, I really like movies. I really like talking with you. And whatever sounds intriguing.” I raise my eyebrows.
Liam laughs, kisses the top of my head. “Let’s go.”

Back at Liam’s house I find my overnight bag right where Lottie said she left it. I change
downstairs while Liam heads upstairs. In my bag I find a casual dress. I decide to go with that rather than yoga pants. I remove most of my make-up, leaving a more natural look that I usually wear.
I step out of the room just as Liam’s coming down the stairs. My breath catches. He’s no longer wearing the Prince costume, yet he still looks incredible. He’s wearing jeans with a tight red t-shirt. It would appear as though he is a model walking down a runway. He has no idea how incredibly handsome and sexy he really is. The look on his face when he sees me makes me blush.
I try to tease him to deflect the overwhelming heat between us. It backfires on me though.
“Disappointed I’m no longer a princess?”
Liam smiles sweetly. “Oh babe, you are still my princess.” He gently caresses my cheek. “You are so beautiful. When I first saw you from across the room, I could feel my heart race, and the butterflies in my stomach took flight.” He moves in closer. “Just like right now.” Liam’s lips gently graze mine. Such a gentle kiss, yet it causes fireworks inside me.
Liam steps back, looking in my eyes. Reaching up he unties the blue ribbon in my hair, the last piece of Cinderella. He releases my hair from the bun. My eyes close briefly out of pleasure, as I feel him gently help my hair to fall around my shoulders as it normally does. He runs his fingers through it. I feel all my defenses crumble at his touch.
“Olivia, you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad you walked into my life tonight.”
Then he pushes my hair aside, kissing my neck. Never has anything ever felt so good, so right. He kisses his way back up to my lips. This time the kisses progress from gentle to firm and passionate. Liam moves to take my bottom lip between his. When he then takes my top lip between his, I bite his bottom lip as he pulls back. The moan that escapes him fuels me on. As he moves in for another kiss, I wrap my arms around him. Digging my nails into his back. Apparently he really likes it. His tongue urgently seeking out mine. The taste of him drives me crazy. My mind is telling me maybe we should slow down. Every other part of me, including my heart, is telling me to go full steam ahead.
I know where this is headed. I’ve never done this before, spend the night with a guy I just met. But tonight, with Liam, feels different. Being with him feels right in every way possible. I make a decision at that moment, to follow my heart.
Liam’s kissing my neck again. He’s already found the spot. A perfect combination of sucking and nibbling has me beyond overwhelmed.
Liam pulls back, looking in my eyes. “Are you alright, Olivia?”
I smile, reaching out to touch his cheek. “Yes, Liam, I’m perfect.”
“Olivia, I want you to know, I don’t normally move so fast. And we can slow down if you want. I’ve just never felt this way about anyone before.” He pauses, smiling. Putting his hand under my chin, he runs his thumb lightly across my lips.
Catching the sparkle in his eyes. I can’t help but smile. “Olivia, your smile is so incredible. It makes time stand still. Making me feel like there’s no one else in the world. Just you and me.” Liam grins. “Too cheesy?”
I laugh. “Absolutely not. I love it. Liam, I feel the same way. Something special is happening between us, and I think the key is to not overthink it. Let’s just go with whatever feels right.”
I wrap my arms around Liam’s neck. “This sure feels right.” I get on my tiptoes as Liam bends to meet me, our lips merging.
As Liam’s kisses trail down my neck, I run my fingers through his hair. Liam whispers sweetly in my ear. “Stay with me tonight, Princess?”
I pull back. My hands on his chest, our eyes locked on each other. “I thought you’d never ask, my Prince.”
Liam takes my hand, leading me to his bedroom. Once inside he undoes the buttons on my dress. I find it adorable that he’s shaking as he does it. He’s nervous. I take his hand, bringing it to my lips. Looking into his eyes, I kiss it. Letting him know he doesn’t need to be nervous with me.
Liam kisses my shoulders as he lets my dress fall to the floor. The look in his eyes as he takes all of me in, causes my breath to catch.
He leads me to his bed, sitting down on the edge, he puts his hands on my hips. Pulling me in closer to him. “You are so perfect, Love.”
I blush. Looking down at the ground I say. “Far from it.”
Liam’s finger under my chin, gently lifting it to meet his eyes. “You are perfect to me.”
His words are beautiful, combined with the fact that I believe him, I am drawn to tears. No one has ever made me feel so special, so beautiful.
I reach down, pulling Liam’s shirt over his head. I start at his neck, kissing my way down to his chest. My hands tracing over the muscles in his arms.
I pause to look at him. I bite my lip, I have never wanted someone as badly as I want Liam.
As I begin to undo the snap on his jeans, he stands up. I look from his strong chest up to his eyes. I love how he towers above me.
I help him out of his jeans. He lifts me up, laying me on the bed. Standing there, looking at me for a moment before joining me.
I know Liam wants me as much as I want him. Yet he takes his time, kissing every inch of my body. He lingers on the important areas, bringing me close to the brink so many times. He skillfully pulls back at just the right moment causing me to long for more.
I gasp out his name. “Liam.”
He smiles, moving to hover above me. His eyes locked on mine as he enters me, filling me completely. Our moans match as we find a perfect rhythm. I go over the edge, experiencing a pleasure with Liam I’ve never come close to before. He follows, screaming out my name.
He gently gathers my quivering body into his arms. I relax into his embrace, knowing full well we’ve just shared something incredible.
I wake a couple hours later to find Liam sitting across the room. He appears to be writing in a book, stopping when he sees I’m awake. “Hey, Princess.” He says, kissing me. His soft lips feeling so natural on mine. “How about some tea?”
I smile. “Sounds great, my Prince.”

As he leaves the room, I get up from the bed and slip on his t-shirt. Walking across the room, I see his journal sitting wide open. The words written on the open page cause my breath to catch, tears clouding my vision.
‘I’ve never felt anything quite like this before. Yet today I know I’ve found my one and only princess. She’s stolen my heart, and I don’t want it back.’

I lightly run my fingers across the written words as one of my tears silently lands on the page. “Same, my prince, same.
