Fighting For Her

Drag Me Down

Everly’s POV
My eyes were slowly beginning to open, but wherever I was, was completely dark. I rolled over and sat up. “Hello…” my voice bounced off the hollow walls. I stood up off of the bed. If you can call it that… the floor was cold on my bare feet. I clicked on a light and looked around at the room I was placed in. There was nothing but the twin-sized bed in the corner. I must have been taken out of my clothes when I was put to sleep and taken. I was now in a white night gown from, what seemed like, the 80’s. I sighed and sat on the ground, placing my hands on my head as I could feel tears filling up my eyes. A loud buzzer went off and the door began to open. A tall lady with long black hair walked through the steel door. “Hello Everly. How are you?” I looked at her with utter disgust. “Who the fuck are you?” I said with hatred lingering in my tone. She chuckled and smirked at me. “Did I say something funny? Who are you?” I spat. “I’m Lisa, Everly,” she chuckled again. What is wrong with this lady?! “So…you are probably wondering why you are here, huh?” I ruffled my eyebrows together and gave her a death stare. “Well, Everly, it’s okay! We are nice people! We saved you from the dangers out there, ya know?” she put her hand in my hair and began playing. “You have such great hair, Everly.” She ran her fingers through my long blonde hair and down my back, sending chills to spread over every inch of my skin. She smiled at me. “Now, you are going to have to do as I say. If you don’t, consequences will follow and well…I think you are capable of what we can do here.” She grabbed my hand. “Follow me, Everly.” Her voice was crisp and raspy. She held tightly onto my hand. The door opened into some sort of hallway. Doors like mine lined the wall and I couldn’t begin to imagine what was behind them. I cringed again. Another door was at the end of the hallway, this one was different from the others. She entered in some sort of code and the door opened. I watched her fingers pound on each key, trying to memorize the code. On the other side of the door was a….home? What? Where the hell was I? The house was nice and cozy. Like any normal house you could think of. Picture frames clung to the walls. The pictures were of Lisa and I am guessing her husband…and daughter? Okay, this is weird. She brought me into her bathroom. A box of brown hair dye sat on the counter. Another lady walked in and covered my mouth.
