Zayns POV
“No! My cookie is drowning!” Calum exclaimed in his adorable Australian accent.

“More like committing suicide” Louis joked. I rolled my eyes and huffed, leaning against the refrigerator.

“Guys! Can we please focus?” I asked, furrowing my eyebrows at them all.

“It’s okay Calum, you can have my cookie” Nikki said, giving Calum her cookie after finishing the last of her milk.

“Really? Thanks!” Calum said, taking the cookie from Nikkis tan palm as she sweetly kissed the boys temple.

“What?! You never kiss my head like that!” Louis pouted and stomped his foot.

“She never kisses me in general..” Harry mumbled under his breath, leaning his elbows on the kitchen island and sighing to himself. Liam leaned down and whispered something into Harry’s ear.

“Ah Niall!” Anjelica squealed as Niall repeatedly pressed kisses to Anjelicas temple roughly, probably jarring her brain. He nearly knocked her off the kitchen counter they were sitting on he was kissing her so hard.

“Guys!” I shouted, standing up straight and making all heads turn to me. “I didn’t gather you all here without a reason” I huffed, carefully brushing my fingers over my hair.

“Hey, you didn’t gather us here. You all came here because I had to babysit Calum” Nikki said, rubbing Calums back as he dunked his cookie in milk. Ever since the little accident with the fire, Calums mother doesn’t want Calum home alone for a while, so Nikki offered to babysit while she goes to work.

“Well, since Nick is off doing some Student Government thing and his birthdays coming up, I thought that we could use this time to talk about what we should do for his birthday.”

“Eeehh” Anjelica shook her head, sounding like a buzzer. “You must not know Nick that well” she said and I gawfed at her, slightly offended.

“Nick doesn’t like to do anything on his birthday” Nikki said, standing up and collecting the two empty glasses.

“I said that I didn’t want to do anything, yet you did something for me” I protested, watching Nikki put the glass in the kitchen sink with a loud clank.

“But Nicks different. He really doesn’t want to do anything for his birthday. He just likes to chill with friends” Anjelica shrugged.

“But I said that too!!” I said, crossing my arms like a child.

“Ah Zayn, we all know that you want to do something for Nick, but don’t get your thong in a knot” Louis joked, causing Niall to snicker. I shot Louis down with glares and he playfully reflected them back until Calum spoke up.

“Nikki, when will Mum be home?” he cutely asked, adjusting his beanie on his jet black hair.

“Not for another two hours, why?” she asked, walking over and wiping his mouth with a napkin. “I swear, for an 8th grader, you sure are messy” she chuckled.

“Hey!” Calum said, swatting the napkin away from his face.

“You didn’t answer my question” she said, handing the napkin to Liam to throw in the trash.

“My friends are coming to visit from Australia for a week and they are coming today. My mom said that when she gets back home, she’s taking me to see them at the hotel they are staying at” Calum explained.

“Aw, well that’s cool” Liam said, smiling at the boy.

“Mhm” Calum said with a nod.

“We are totally off topic..” I grumbled, wanting to get back to Nicks birthday. He was the one who thought of my birthday and planned it. It totally showed that he cared and I love Nick as a best friend. I want to return the favor, you know? It’s only nice.

“I’m back!” Nick screeched as the sound of a door opening echoed through the condo. All our eyes widened in surprise.

“What is he doing back early?!” I whisper screamed to them. Nikki shrugged before smiling at Nick coming through the doorway.

“What? You guys didn’t miss me?” Nick said, pretending to be hurt.

“You’re early” I said, forcing a smile at my best friend. His blonde hair was ruffled, thanks to the wind outside and his blue eyes seemed to stand out more than normal. Nick slightly frowned at my comment and I mentally slapped myself for sounding rude.

“Yeah, we ended it early because Ms. Shultz wasn’t feeling too well” Nick said.

“My boy!” Louis said, hugging Nick.

“Um, hi” Nick said, awkwardly hugging Louis back. I couldn’t help but like the fact that Nick was slightly smaller than Louis. Why would I like that? Because then he’s small and cute and I’m bigger than Louis so that means I’m bigger than Nick so then his small frame perfectly fits mine and I could protect him and-wait what?

“Well that’s too bad about Ms. Shultz” Anjelica said.

“It is, so now you are all stuck with me” Nick said, trying to pull away from Louis who just tightened his grip on him. “Um L-”

“Shh..” Louis shushed, rubbing the back of Nicks head.

“This is weird..” NIck whispered loudly, biting his lip as his looked at us from over Louis shoulder.

“Be that way!” Louis said, pulling away from Nick and pretending to cry as he latched himself to his partner in crime, Harry.

“Yeah, um-” Nick was cut off by Nikkis ring tone, which was all of us yelling random things.

“Sorry” Nikki said, taking her phone out of her pocket. She smiled and held her phone out in front of Calum. Calum looked at it for a few seconds then broke out into a wide smile.

“Mum!” he beamed as he took Nikkis phone from her slender fingers. “Hi mum!” he practically yelled into the phone.

“Niall! Anjelica! Stop having sex!” Louis randomly blurted out. Niall and Anjelica opened their mouths in shock and Harry was quick to cover his mouth.

“I’ll deal with you later” Nikki said, glaring at Louis as Calum intently listened to the sound of his mothers voice.

“Really!?” Calum squealed, unintentionally drawing all attention to him. “Can I bring her along?” he asked, followed by some silence.“Thanks so much!” he practically yelled and hung up.

“wel-” Nikki was cut off by Calum.

“Nikki we have to go now!” Calum said, grabbing Nikkis hand.

“Wait, where? What?” Nikki asked, completely shocked.

“Mums here and we need to go now! You have to meet my friends!” he said, taking her away from us.

“Woah!” Nikki said as Calum tugged on her arm roughly.

“Wait, so shes just leaving?” Niall asked.

“Well, Cara is an adult and capable of supervising both Calum and Nikki” Nikki shrugged.

“What if I don’t want her to leave?” Louis said.

“Too bad!” Calum yelled from down the hall and then there was the sound of the front door slamming shut.

“And they’re gone” Louis said, scratching his head. Harry frowned and stared at the spot where Nikki once stood.

“She better have her phone with her” Anjelica said, and just after she said that, her phone goes off down the hallway. Niall snickers, but Harry is quick to speak.

“You know what I can bring it to her I’ll do it” Harry rushed in on long breath and without a say, he was dragging Louis with him down the hall and out the door.

“Bye!” Liam said before the door slam shut for the third time today.

“Do they even know where they are going?” Nick asked.

“Nope” I smiled and shook my head.

“Harrys smitten” Liam chuckled and we all were a bit taken aback. Liam confessed that he liked Nikki, but Nikki doesn’t like him back. She likes Harry, and it’s quite obvious that Harry likes her back. Liam noticed our expressions and frowned “You guys, it’s okay. I got over Nikki” Liam said, almost making all three of our mouths drop.

Liam seemed to get over Nikki in such a short amount of time. He seemed like he really liked her, now that I really think about it. Following her around and close to her constantly. Always stealing kisses to her head and “Friendly” hugs.

“Guys, really” Liam said, trying to hold our eyes but looking away momentarily. Liam was never a really good liar, but even though he looked away, he still held our gaze for a bit. I don’t know if he’s lying or not, it hard to say, He looked sincere and true, but he also had a hint of sorrow somewhere buried.

Louis POV
“Harry, we don’t even know where we are going” I huffed, driving down a street to nowhere.

“It’s at a hotel, and there isn’t many in this town” Harry mumbled, alert in his seat. I sighed and shook my head at him.

“Are you telling me that we have to look at every hotel in this town?” I asked, looking over at him in disbelief.

“Yes” Harry said, not looking at me.

“Ugh, Harry!” I groaned and glared at the road in front of me.. “I should just turn around now.”

“What no!!” Harry whined. shaking his head.

“Harry. You’re jealous. Over an 8TH GRADER” I sassed.

“I am not jealous!” Harry protested, snapping his head in my direction.

“Oh yes you are mister” I said, raising my eyebrows and nodding in confirmation to myself.

“I’ve gotten over my jealousy” Harry said.

“Oh really? Then why do we have to go to every hotel?” I asked.

“B-because she needs her phone..” Harry said in a small voice.

“C’mon Harry!” I said, throwing my hands in the air, but then quickly replacing them back on the wheel.

“Louis she can’t just leave like that so quick! Yes, I like her and yes I was a little upset that she left so fast, but I am not jealous!” Harry yelled and I smiled to myself. Not because it was cute how evident Harrys jealousy was, but for something else.“What?” Harry asked, attitude thick with his accent.

“It’s just that you’re really now just saying that you like her” I said, smiling goofily to myself. It’s great that the two people I love like each other. It just makes me so happy. All they need to do is get together.

“Well, yeah..” Harry mumbled. “Liam thinks that I should ask her to the Valentines Day dance..” Harry mumbled, so low I barely caught what he said.

“Really?!” I said, my eyes widening as I still drove nowhere in particular.

“I know! It shocked me too! We were talking about it on the morning of Zayns birthday” Harry said, running his hair through his perfect curls.

“And he’s not heartbroken?” I said, slowly coming to a stop at the stop sign and looking both ways.

“He says that he’s gotten over Nikki..but I don’t know. I wanna take things slow and repair the friendship I have with Nikki first” Harry said. “But then sometimes I just want to rush into it and ask her to be my girlfriend. Knowing that she likes me is...amazing. It makes me want to be hers” Harry said, looking down at his lap. I nodded, completely understanding as I stopped at a stoplight.

Back in England, there’s a girl that drives me crazy, but I don’t even think she notices. Her brunette hair is always silky and her straight teeth just add to her amazing lips, coming together to make the perfect smile. Her brown eyes are rich, always shining and amplified by her thick lashes. Her skin wasn’t too pale and had a creamy look to it. She’s beautiful and doesn’t need to workout. She’s perfect just the way she is.

“Earth to Louis” Harry said, snapping his fingers in front of my face. Cars honked behind us and I focused back into reality, the green light on.

“Oh” I said and accelerated forward.

Zayns POV
Simon came and picked up Anjelica, Niall and Liam a little after Harry and Louis left. Liam claimed that he had homework to do and Niall and Anjelica just wanted to be alone, which is understandable. I stayed at Nikkis and Anjelicas with Nick, not wanting to leave home alone.

That and I want to hang around him.

“So, how are your classes?” I awkwardly asked, trying to make small talk with my American lad.

“Oh, they’re okay” Nick said, shrugging and scrolling through channels.

“They’re okay?” I asked. Nick nodded and settled on watching Wolverine. He reached over and grabbed a handful of popcorn from the bowl in my lap and shoved it in his mouth. “Why are they ‘okay’?” I asked, truly interested on Nicks opinions and feelings. Nick shrugged again before answering.

“You aren’t in any of my classes besides P.E., so all of them are okay except for P.E.” Nick said, watching the tv screen.

“Then hows P.E?” I asked, a little afraid of his answer. What if he doesn’t like it? Was it because I was there? Was it because I can run faster than him and I always tease him about it? P.E would surely not be fun without my lad.

“Awesome, because I got my best friends with me” Nick smiled and blushed, but didn’t look at me. I smiled at his side profile. I absolutely agree. Without Nick in my other classes, it isn’t that fun. Sure, I’ve got Niall and Liam in some of my classes, but Nick is my best friend of all time right now. I gotta have my partner in crime! I turned my attention back towards the tv and slowly started to drift into thought of how amazing Nick is as a friend and how I have to make it up to him by giving him a grand birthday.

“So..um..” I said, biting my lip. I don’t exactly want to flat out ask what he wants, but it’s the only way to get an idea.

“If it’s about my birthday you could forget about it” Nick said, chewing on some popcorn. My mouth dropped and I stuttered.

“B-but, how did you know?” I asked.

“Anjelica” he smirked, looking at me with his blue eyes.

“I’m gonna have to get her back” I said, making a mental note.

“Yeah, well, you don’t have to do anything for my birthday, really” Nick smiled reassuringly.

“But that’s what I said and look what happened!” I said, raising my eyebrows.

“True, but I’m serious.”

“And I wasn’t serious?” I asked. I’m sure that I made it clear that I didn’t want a birthday party. Of course I loved what they did and would have done nothing different, but they didn’t have to do it.

“Not exactly. You said that you that ‘don’t mind what we do’ for your birthday” Nick said. “So you technically didn’t give us a straight answer. But right now I’m giving you that one and I just want to hang out” he said.

“Nick” I whined, leaning over and resting my forehead on his shoulder. I could see Nicks neck get red, the blush creeping up his neck and to his cheeks.

“Sorry Zayn” Nick said, one word faster that the other. I pouted and kept my forehead on Nicks shoulder. Well what the heck do I do? The random knock on the door made me and Nick flinch back from each other.

"Gosh that surprised me" Nick said lightly giggling, making me smile my toothy grin.

"I'll get it" I said,handing Nick the popcorn bowl and becoming suddenly cheery as I walked to the front door. "No luck I see" I said to Louis and Harry when I opened the door to reveal them, Nikkis phone in Harrys hand.

"Well you know, we had no set of directions!" Louis said, looking at Harry before bumping past me. Harry bit his lip and I moved out of the way to let him in.

"Oh hey Louis, hey Harry" Nick smiled at them as we walked to the living room together.

"Hey blonde" Louis smiled and plopped on the couch with Harry.

"I'm going to die my hair brown someday so you could stop calling me that" Nick said, throwing popcorn at him. I took my seat next to Nick and made myself comfortable.

"Ooo! You're making a mess! Nikki isn't going to be happy about this!" Louis said, pointing to the popcorn on the ground.

"Nah, I'll just blame it on Niall, see how she reacts" Nick smiled and I took some popcorn from the bowl. I tossed it in the air and caught it in my mouth. Nick tried to mimic me, but failed multiple times, making an even bigger mess.

"I fear that you won't see tomorrow my friend" Harry said, chuckling at all the mess.

"Zayn will hide me in his closet, so it'll be okay. Right Zayn?" Nick said, cocking his head to the side.

"Right."

Please don't kill me for not updating! And please don't kill me for writing a crappy chapter! I had an awesome one written but for some reason it all got erased and blah blah blah. In the end I wanted to cry and just stuff my face with fattening cookies.
Since it's friday, that means tomorrow is Saturday and Saturday means that I have time to write!! :)))) HURAHHH!!!!
