“Dada..dada…dada..dada..’’ Lily blabs to me as I bounce her on my knee. ‘’Hey baby!’’ I say back and she giggles a little. I love my angel. Love her! She’s so damn cute, I couldn’t ask for better, because there is no better.

Lily’s fourteen months old. She can say a few words, not many, but enough for her age I assume. Her favorite three words in the entire world are Mama, Dada, and No. She loves saying No. I assume she knows what it means. Because I’ll say its time for a nap, and what does my princess fire back? Oh just a simple, ‘no Dada, no.’ But its cute.. besides.. who will it hurt if she says it?

Lily was born on May 1st, 2014, at 9:54p.m. She was 7 lbs and 1 ounce, and was nineteen inches. Its now July, so that’s where the two months comes in. I think its cool that she was born on the first, because I was born on the first of February, and Katie was born on the first of August. I am two years older than Katie, however. She’s only eighteen at the moment, she’ll turn nineteen soon.

I will never forget though, the relationship.. the friendship.. the everything.. me and Katie shared. She gave me the best years of my life.. and I love her for that. I always will love her, no matter if she hates me or if she’s moved. I don’t care.. I’ll love her forever.. and she knows that.

The door opens too soon. Fuck. Its Kendall, I know for sure. ‘’Oh Harry!’’ She says as she slams it shut. Lily jumps lightly in my hands. ‘’You don’t have to be loud.’’ I mumble to her as she walks past the couch on her way to the kitchen. ‘’Hush.’’ She rolls her eyes.

Kendall soon comes back from the kitchen with a bottle of water in her purse. She sits down on the other couch, thank god, away from me. But she still looks at me. ‘’I told my mom we’ll meet her tonight.’’ She mumbles.

‘’Figures.’’ I sigh out. ‘’Have you asked Katie if you can keep Lily a few more hours?” she adds, not replying to my comment. ‘’No. And for one, I don’t have to ask her. I can keep my daughter as long as I want.’’ I fire back, but I knew it was a lie.

‘’Seriously Harry. Call her. I’d hate for her to get her boyfriend on you.’’ Kendall smirks. ‘’That little douche bag couldn’t do shit to me.’’ I say. ‘’I thought you didn’t care who she was with? Don’t you just want her to be happy?’’ She asks, raising her eyebrows.

‘’Shut up.. I’ll call her soon.’’ I mumble. Kendall gets up and walks upstairs, probably to the guest room where she sleeps. Thank god she’s gone.. now.. back to my gushing over my princess.

“Lily..’’ I say to her but she just stares down at the writing on my shirt. I had on a Rolling Stones shirt. ‘’Lils.’’ I mumble, still nothing. ‘’Lily Kate.’’ I call again, but she still stares off.

‘’Babe.’’ I sigh gently. She glances up and smiles before looking back down at my shirt. That little…. I just smile, she was adorable. She’s the best thing I got. “You think you’re so cute, eh?’’ I ask. She giggles gently as I start to gently press my fingertips in her side. She was super ticklish, Katie was that way. I love it though.

‘’Lets call Mommy.’’ I mumble as I sit her down on my lap instead of on my knees. I put my arm around her as she leans against my chest. She had her hands in the hand, playing with her fingers. I loved sitting like this, she would just lie back and relax. She’s so much like me, it kills me at times to realize she’s like Katie too. She got us both equally for sure.

I pick my phone as my other hand grips Lily’s waist, keeping a good hold on her. She might be on my lap, but she’ll jerk around. So I always make sure I’m holding on to her. Besides, I don’t want a thing to happen to my little angel.

I press the phone to my ear as I wait patiently. I’ve always intended to never miss any of Katie’s calls. Now Kendall’s on the other hand… I’d block her if I really wanted to. But I have to have some one to talk to. Just talk. Nothing more, nothing less.

‘’Hello?’’ She answers. “Hey love.’’ I mumble. ‘’Hey.’’ She replies. ‘’Um.. I know you really wanted Lily back soon.. but do you suppose I could.. keep her another night?’’ I ask. ‘’Why?’’ She sighs. Fuck. She’s probably upset at this.

‘’Well.. I want to mainly. But Kendall is making me go have Dinner with her mom.. and Kris wanted to meet Lily.’’ I say, I keep no lies from her. None at all. ‘’Harry..’’ She sighs again. ‘’Please.. she’ll be okay.’’ I assure her.

“I know that.. its just that they’re.. Just.. nevermind. I don’t care.’’ Katie’s voice sounded annoyed, because she was. ‘’I won’t let them get too close.. I promise she’ll be okay.’’ I say. ‘’Okay.. You might as well keep her until tomorrow afternoon. I have a shift tonight and in the morning.’’ She insists.

I sigh in relief, thank God she wasn’t too bad at me. I could care less about getting her permission, Hell I didn’t even want to take myself to this dinner shit. I just didn’t want her to be mad, I’d hate to stress her more.

‘’Okay. That’s fine.’’ I say. ‘’Okay. I have to go.’’ She mumbles. ‘’Alright bye…’’ ‘’Bye..’’ ‘’I Love you.’’ I mumble, hoping to hear an answer. I got one, but not what I wanted. ‘’Harry… bye.’’ She hangs up.
I really wish she’d say it back, but that’s fine. She doesn’t want me anymore, she doesn’t want this, she doesn’t want us. And that’s fine. As long as she’s happy some how.. I’m Happy for her either way.. For now.

“Baby.. be still.’’ I laugh a little as Lily jumps around in my arms. I was trying to put her shoes on and it wasn’t going well. ‘’Okay..okay.’’ I sigh as she finally gets free and plops down on the edge of my bed. I bend down to the bed’s level so that I could reach her feet better.

I cross my eyes and stick out my tongue as she looks at me. She giggles just as I stop and focus on her shoes. I get them on finally and pick her up. Lily and I make our way down stairs to find Kendall in one of her skanky outfits again. But whatever, I could care less. I look at Lily, fully focused on my baby.

"Daddy's Princess looks beautiful as ever.'' I tell Lily. She giggles a little as she puts her hand my chin. She was weird, but hey.. look who her father is. I smile to myself as she grabs at me lip before we reach the living room.

“You guys ready?’’ She asks as she goes to the door. I nod a little as I pat my pocket quickly before putting my hand back on Lily’s back. I had to make sure I had my phone, and I did.

“Okay, lets hit the road!’’ She says with a smile as she opens the door. I grab Lily’s bag off the couch before going over to the door. ‘’To Mama?’’ Lily looks at me, her eyebrows furrowed.

‘’No babe, not yet. We’re going on a trip.’’ I smile gently at her. ‘’Yay!’’ She squeals. I laugh gently as I kiss her cheek before walking out side and shutting the door, locking it. ‘’What she say?’’ Kendall asks as she reaches my SUV. ‘’Nothing..’’ I mumble back and she just sighs, annoyed but I didn’t care at all.

I open the back door and sit Lily in her carseat. She giggles gently as my fingers brush against her tummy and her sides as I buckle her in. I smile as I kiss her forehead before leaning up and shutting the door.

And before I knew it, I was on my way to absolute Hell.
