1:43a.m.

My eyes weren’t closed. I wasn’t asleep. In fact, it had been so quiet in the house that I heard Harry come in down stairs. A sigh of relief too. I didn’t want to be alone, I felt like I was intruding. But knowing that he’s here makes me feel better.

I heard the door creak open as I lied silent in the bed, on my side like always. I take a deep breath, I know its Harry. I just know it. Besides, who else would it be anyways? I saw his broad shadow getting closer to me, thanks to the light in the hallway that I guess he just turned on.

Finally, he had made his way over to me. I watched through my eyelashes, hoping I would look asleep. He didn’t turn on the lights in here, so I hoped that the dark would mask my face for the most part, just so he’ll assume I’m asleep.

Harry’s large, soft hand gently touched my cheek, his thumb brushing over my bottom lip. He would always do that, no matter what. But that was a while ago, and its been a very long time since I’ve been touched so gentle.

And its been a long while since I’ve felt his touch.

‘’I’m so glad you’re here.. I’d rather see your pretty face every day than wake up to nothing.. I love you so much.. and I know you know it. I know you love me, but its okay if you keep it locked up.. I understand.’’ Harry’s voice releases his words slowly in a whisper as his thumb continues to caress my bottom lip.

I feel my heart melt a little. Harry was everything to me. He always has been and always will be, no matter what. Nothing at all could change that. Nothing. ‘’I love you.. good night, Angel.’’ He adds, still in a soft whisper.

I tightly close my eyes as I sense him leaning down. He kisses my forehead as he moves his hand from my cheek. Next, like he always would, he kisses my nose lightly. And then my favorite. I prayed he would, and he did.

His lips press against mine, ever so lightly. He held them there for a moment or two, but soon leaned up and pulled the covers perfectly around me and tucked me in. And with that, he left the room and turned the lights off in the hall.

So I assume he went to bed, but I could never tell with him. But I knew for sure that he had made my day. My week. My everything. And that little, soft kiss meant the world to me.

And I’ll never forget it.

‘’Wake Mama up.’’ I heard Harry’s voice say as I felt the bed dip down behind me. ‘’Mama.. Mama.. Mama!’’ Lily said with a giggle as she put her hands on my arm. I smile gently to myself.

‘’Mommy.. wake up.’’ Harry added in. ''Mama! Wakey!'' Lily giggles a little as she tried to shake my shoulder. I laugh lightly. ''Mommy. Get up.'' Harry says with a laugh as Lily continues to softly shake me.

‘’I’m up.’’ I mumble lightly. ‘’Mama!’’ Lily squeals as she hears my voice. I roll over on my back so I could see her. She plops down on the bed and giggles as she grabs my finger and holds onto it.

‘’Hi sweetie.’’ I smile as she smiles at me. ‘’Good morning..’’ Harry’s raspy morning voice said sweetly. ‘’Good morning.’’ I reply with a gentle smile as I glance at him. ‘’Did you sleep well?’’ He asks as he props himself up on his elbow.

I nod to him as he leans down to my forehead and gives me a gentle kiss on my temple. ‘’What do you want for breakfast?’’ He asks as he gets off the bed and grabs Lily and puts her in his arms.

‘’It doesn’t matter.’’ I mumble as I lean up. Harry was in nothing but his Calvin Klein boxers. ‘’Alright.. I’ll go cook.’’ He tells me with a smile. I nod again and just smirks back before exiting the room.

There was something about the way Harry looked at me that always turned me on and made me feel good about myself. I guess he’s truly the one person that can make me completely happy.

And to be honest, I really loved knowing that.
