Even When the Night Changes

Louis’s date Sami was pretty freaked out after Louis got arrested. She took some time to calm down and then she drove Louis’ car to the police station. Before going in she sat outside and did some serious thinking. Sami hadn’t known Louis for long. This was their first official date. Her family would probably tell her to run after what happened today. However she had a feeling that Louis really is a good guy. She decided to go inside and see what she could do to help him.
The officer led Sami to the holding cell where Louis was. He looked up, surprised to see her. “I’m so sorry about this, love.” The officer opens the door and tells him he is free to go.
Louis doesn’t say a word till they get outside. “How did you manage that?” He asks Sami. “I charmed them.” Sami says. Louis laughs. “Well I can believe that.” Then a serious look comes across his face and he touches Sami’s arm. “Thanks for not abandoning me, even though I kind of deserved it.”
Sami replies. “You’re welcome Louis. I know you are a good guy. I’m just not sure what happened. We were having such a good time.”
“I was nervous and I was trying to impress you. I was afraid you didn’t like me as much as I like you.” Louis said quietly.
“Oh Louis, I really care about you.” Sami replies shyly.
“You do? Well great!” Louis is smiling. He grabs Sami’s hand. “Let me make it up to you. I’ll take you out to dinner right now.”
Sami smiles. She can’t resist him. “Sure.”
Louis takes her to a small italian restaurant and they sit at a quiet table in the back. They spend all evening talking,laughing,getting to know each other better.
At the end of the evening Louis drives Sami home.
“Sami, I’d like to keep seeing you, if you’ll have me.” Louis says a bit shyly.
“Louis, I know that my instincts about you were right. You are an amazing guy and I would love to go out with you again…...and again.” Sami says with a smile.
Louis smiles and leans in and kisses Sami sweetly. He’d like to do more, but he knows that this girl is special and he needs to take his time.
