Bride to Be

Chapter Nine

Kennedy’s POV
Today was the day. Harry and I were going to have the quick legal marriage and then hopefully after the baby was born, we would plan the wedding we really wanted to have. The night I mentioned it to Harry I knew he was truly happy about it. I knew that I wanted to be with this crazy, impulsive, loveable man for the rest my life and I was hoping that he felt the same way and not that he had to because we had gotten pregnant. At the moment I was sitting in Gemma’s flat while everyone was fussing about my hair. I was now eleven weeks pregnant and I could no longer hide the fact that I was almost three months pregnant. When news hit that Harry and I were now pregnant about a month after our engagement, things have become crazy. Most of the One Direction fans were very happy for us and couldn’t wait to see pictures when he or she was born. However some fans were not very excited and continued to slander my name even worse than before. However it stopped when all the boys made a tweet talking about if fans were going to be hateful about their good news and about their significant others than they are not One Direction fans. That quickly stopped all the hate tweets I would get and it died down for the other girls as well.

“What do you want to do with your hair?” Andrea asked as Eleanor, Anne, my mum, Gemma, Perrie, and Danielle fought over how my hair should look.

“Personally,” I said looking in the mirror seeing that my hair was in a messy braid, “This is fine. I don’t expect to look like a princess today. I feel like one because I’m getting married to Harry and that’s all that matters today.”

Andrea just smiled and laughed.

“Harry said the same thing this morning when I went to drop off Niall’s khakis,” Andrea smiled, “You two really are made for each other.”

I felt my face flush a bit and Andrea just smiled. I stood up from the chair in front of Gemma’s mirror and all the talking stopped.

“I like my hair like this,” I said, “I’m going to go get dressed.”

I then made my way to the bed and grabbed my dress that the girls helped me pick out last week (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=83988631). I was in the bathroom when my cell phone started ringing. I looked at the counter to see Louis’ picture pop up on the screen but I knew who it was.

“Hello?” I asked.

“How are you?” I heard Harry ask and I smiled at the raspiness in his voice.

“A bit nervous but more excited than anything else,” I said, “Did the boys take your phone?”

“Yes,” he huffed, “They wouldn’t let me call you so I had to steal Lou’s phone. They left me alone in the kitchen with the phones.”

I then laughed as I picked up my clothes and put them on the counter.

“I stole my phone back,” I said giggling.

“Where are you in Gemma’s flat?” he asked.

“The bathroom. I locked the door,” I said, “Where are you in our flat?”

“Our bathroom,” he said, “I locked the door too.”

We both laughed.

“So how long do you think it’ll take them until they find out?” I asked smiling widely.

“Pretty soon,” he said, “I’ve been in the bathroom for like fifteen minutes.”

I then started laughing and it was a bit too loud.

“Are you okay in there Kenni?” I heard my mum ask.

“Yeah Mum,” I replied, “I was just laughing at a thought it all.”

“Oh alright,” she said and then I heard her walk away.

“You are the world’s worst liar in the world,” Harry laughed and I just rolled my eyes.

“At least it’s a believable lie,” I said which caused Harry to laugh loudly.

“Harold Edward Styles you open this door now!” I heard Louis’ voice exclaim and soon Eleanor was at the bathroom door.

“We’re so busted,” I giggled and Harry was laughing too.

“I guess we better hang up then huh?” he said.

“I guess so,” I said smiling, “I love you Harold Edward Styles.”

“I love you Kennedy Marie Wilker,” he said, “I’ll see you in an hour at the court house.”

“See you in an hour,” I said and we hung up.

The door to the bathroom then flew open and Eleanor just shook her head as I handed her the phone.

“You two are horrible,” she said as I walked out of the bathroom to find my mum and Anne smirking at me.

“Thanks for getting my phone Mum,” I said and all the girls gasped.

“My husband and I were the same girls,” she said, “I had to let the girl talk to her fiancé.”

“Well now sit while we do makeup,” Danielle ordered and for the next half hour I was fussed over about my makeup.

If I thought that this was bad I knew that the huge wedding we were going to have was going to be ten times worse. When I was completely done, I was brought to the standing mirror that Gemma has and I smiled at myself. I looked a lot more put together than I have had in the past three months. My hair looked perfect for being a messy braid, my dress fit perfectly and showed my tiny little bump, and my makeup was just enough and not caked on. I thanked the girls and hugged them all and I felt myself crying.

“Oh no don’t cry Kenni,” Danielle said hugging me and I just laughed.

“I hate being hormonal,” I said laughing and crying, “I cry at everything.”

Everyone laughed and then hugged me again.

“Let’s get going before we get a call from Harry saying we’re holding his future wife hostage,” Andrea said linking arms with me, “We need to get the package to the party.”

I just laughed and we all went down to the cars. As we drove to the courthouse, I was getting nervous. What if Harry had second thoughts and decided to leave? What if he just didn’t come and just let me wait for him for hours? I was bouncing my leg when my mum put her hand on my right leg.

“Everything is going to be fine love,” she said reading my mind, “Harry is not going to leave you at the courthouse.”

“How do you know that?” I mumbled.

“Because Harry looks at you like your father looks at me,” she said, “It’s full of love and admiration. I know he truly loves you Kennedy and he’ll do anything for you and that beautiful little baby you are going to have.”

I just smiled at my mum. She always knew what to say to calm me down and make me take a giant step back from the ledge. She squeezed my knee as we pulled up to the parking lot and I saw Harry standing by the famous black Range Rover. My breath literally caught in my throat. He was in a pair of khakis, a white button up shirt, and his black bow tie. His hair was in his normal wild but tame curls and he had his black converse on his feet. He was truly excited about it because when he saw the car pull up next to Liam’s car his grin grew to show his dimples that I fell in love with. He quickly rushed to the back of the car because he somehow knew that I was in the back seat. He opened the door and quickly helped me out of the car and pulled me in for a passionate kiss and he hid his head in the crook of my neck.

“I missed you,” he mumbled and I smiled and laughed lightly.

“Harry I was gone for a night,” I said.

“A night too long,” he said looking down at me, “I don’t like that. I am not allowing that the next time we get married.”

I then laughed as he pulled me in for another hug.

“By the way you look stunning,” he said and I smiled up at him.

“You look handsome,” I said, “I can’t wait to see you in a complete tux. I bet you’ll look hot.”

Harry blushed and then Liam coughed.

“Enough with the lovey talk,” he said, “Let’s go get you two married.”

Harry then smiled widely at me and we laced our fingers together. We walked into the courthouse and to the room that they said we would get married in. The ceremony was a quick one and in less than twenty minutes Harry and I were now Mr. and Mrs. Styles. After the ceremony the judge asked if the boys could sign a photo because his daughter was a huge fan and I smiled at them.

“She is really excited and happy for you two,” Mr. Lincoln, the judge said, “She happy that Harry is finally happy because for a while she told me you looked like you were faking your happiness.”

Harry then smiled pulling into his side and kissed my temple.

“Well sir your daughter is a very insightful little girl,” he said, “because I was.”

I then grinned widely and kissed his cheek.

“And we’re really happy to hear that she is happy for us too sir,” I replied, “It truly means a lot to hear that people are happy for us.”

“I’ll make sure I tell her that,” he said and we nodded our heads.

“So what are we going to do now Mrs. Styles?” Louis asked grinning.

“TO NANDO’S!” I exclaimed and Niall and Andrea wooed and rushed out of the room and we all just started laughing.

“Come on Mrs. Styles,” Harry said grinning, “Let’s go get you and Baby Styles some food.”

“Alright Mr. Styles,” I grinned feeling complete and whole for the first time in a really long time, “Let’s go celebrate.”
