The Lucky Gal

Unfamiliar Beds, Door Slamming, and Drink Throwing

The sun was just peaking through the curtains of the unfamiliar room when I woke up. My body shot out of the bed despite its headache and sore muscles, panic and confusion surging through my veins. I looked at the long t-shirt and boxers that I barely remember Harry having me change into. The bedroom I was settled in was large with a plush king size bed laying on the middle, the black bedding contrasting with the white walls. The room though was empty, no Harry in sight. I found my cloths on the top of a dresser before putting them back on my body, my body aching from the hangover that consumed my body. My heals and purse were held tightly against my chest as I made my way out of the bedroom into the rest of Harry's apartment.

It was a faired sized apartment, only containing a few rooms but every room was quite large. There was the bedroom that had a full bath and, what I could only assume wasa walk in closet, attached to it. Outside the bedroom I found was a large open room that consisted of a kitchen, livening room and dining room.

Harry's body lay on the leather couch, his body to large for it, his long legs hanging off it. A small white and fluffy blanket lay over its body bit, looked like it was made of a small child against his large frame. I quietly made my way past him and to the front door before slipping out of his apartment.

I handed the money to driver before sending him a kind smile and exiting the cab swiftly. I walked up the small stone path to the front door of my house, my bare foot patting lightly
anginst the chilly rock. I pushed open the front door, dropping my heals next to the welcome mat. I could hear the small chatter of the newly engaged sitting at the kitchen table. Sneaking past the livening room and up the stairs to my room, changing into more comfy cloths and taking off my makeup before heading back downstairs. The men sat next to each other at the kitchen table sipping there coffee as Louis read the paper out loud to his partner.

"Good morning, Alice." Jordan greeted me when he saw me getting a cup from the cabinet.
"Where were you last night, we tried to find you at the club before we left but we could not find you and when we got home you weren't home either." Lou said as he folded up the news paper and looked at me.

"I must have been on the lady's room when you were looking for me at the club. And I was there talking to people for a while, I dident get on until late." I lied, poring some left over coffee into a mug and joining the men at the table. The look on there faces told me they knew I was lying but no one said a word as we sipped our coffee and watched each other quietly. My phone buzzed loudly on the table and all eyes we pulled to it. I picked it up and made my way to my room so the boys could not hear my conversation.

"Hello." I answered timidly as I closed my door behind me.

"Where the hell are you?" The voice raged through my phone making me flinch slightly.

"Harry, I went home." I told him quietly.

"How did you get home?" He asked, tension thick in his words.

"I took a cab." I said sitting on the couch the sat at the end of my bed and turned on the tv.

"I could have took you." He sighed angrily.

"You were sleeping." I snapped.

"I want to see you; I'll be over on an hour." He said, I could hear him grabbing his keys.

"No Harry. I want to stay home." I told him sternly.

"To bad, I'm already on my way." Was the last thing he said before he hung up.

--------------------------------------------

"Hey babe." Harry's voice said from behind me causing me to jump. I was still sat in the same place I had been for a hour. "You ready to go?" He questioned as he looked over my attire. I didn't blame him; he is used to seeing me half dresses, perfect hair and makeup. Now I was just in a pair of running pants along with a sports bra that stuck out from under my tank top. My hair pulled onto a loose ponytail on the middle of my head any my face was bare.

"I told you I don't want to go anywhere." I pout as I stretched my body across the couch. My attention was placed back to the TV. Hoping if I ignored him, he would leave. I heard a deep sigh before I heard him removing his shoes and placing them next to my door before coming back over to me. My feet were lifted as he sat next to me before placing my legs back on his lap. I stayed quiet, try to paying no attention to Harry as he drew shapes on the side of my calf’s.

"What wrong." He asked, trying to pull my eyes to him.

"Why are you here!" I snapped as I sat up and scooted my body as far away from him as I could.

"I told you I wanted to see you." He bit back harshly. I stood up walking away from him, Harry's tall frame following me. I spun my body back around to face him.

"Me telling you about my life last night was a mistake! I should not have told you anything about me. I was drunk and it was reckless. We are not friends Harry! Go home!" I screamed at me before turning to my bathroom and slamming the door behind me. Locking the door I turned on my shower and striping out of my cloths. I was half way through my shower before I heard my bedroom door slam and all I could do was roll my eyes as the house shook.

-------------------------------------

I has been over a week and a half since I had seen Harry and neither of us had made an effort to talk to each other. That day I got it of questions from Lou and Jordan "Why was Harry here? Why were you screaming? What's wrong? Why did he storm out? Are you ok?" The questions came quickly and frequent for the first few days, but after I did not answer them repeatedly, they gave up.

It was Thursday night now and the club was slow. Only two tables were filled on the floor, a bachelorette party and a rowdy group of horny guys that were trying to pick up the future bride that sat a table over. The bar was completely empty as I sat on a bar stool, adjusting my top in the mirrors that made up the wall behind the bar. My black top left little to the imagination, covering barely anything more than my bathing suit. The tops v-neck cut down low between my breasts showing off part of my dream catcher tattoo that sat there. Two straps tied behind my neck. The shirt tucked into a very short purple skirt and black clunky heals were laced onto my feet. I sat quietly watching Zayn and Louis wiped down the bar as Lou talked about some wedding details he had been thinking about.

The club door opened and the group of punk lads walked in, taking there place at there normal table. I slid off the chair and placed my tray in front of me, waiting for Zayn to fill it with the appropriate glasses of scotch. I picked it up, making my way to the table to be greeted my cheers.

"Alice we are going to need another glass, my mate Liam is back from a trip so he need one too." Harry exclaimed with glee as I sat down the glasses in front of the regulars. I was surprised when Harry grabbed me by the waist, pulling me next to his body as he burrows his face into my side. It was obvious that he had already had a few drinks and was deciding to ignore what was said in our last conversation. "Alice I would like you to meet my right hand man and best mate, Liam." Harry exclaimed. My eyes we castes up as I looked at the man.
My heart froze. He had defiantly change, but it was him, there was no doubt in my mind that it was him. He no longer had the innocent long hair that swooped on his forehead. His now very buff arms were covers in black ink and an eyebrow piecing shone against the lights and his hair shaven close to his skull. Liam's eyes still following my every move, knowing that I knew.

"Alice?" He asked questioning above the music.

"That's what I said her name was mate!" Harry laugh not seeing the tension between us. I glanced back at the bar to see Zayn and Lou protectively walking around the bar, seeing the fear on my eyes. I had thought about this moment for years, what I was going to do. I had thought for years that I would hug I'm and cry, be happy for finally finding him. I didn't think I would do this. Before I knew what I was doing, I had picked up Harry's glass and thrown the contents onto Liam's face.

"You selfish basted!" I screamed before throwing the now empty glass at him, having it shatter somewhere behind him before I ran out of the club.
