Roses & Wallflowers

I jumped awake and when I did I hit my head. I had alcohol stained on my tongue, and now that I hit my head, I have a major headache. Great.

Wait. Where am I?

I looked around and saw a shirtless Harry and cocked my eyebrow. Then I realized when were in the back seat of a car. His car! Oh my gosh!

This seriously happened.

I slipped my pants and shirt on and accidentally elbowed Harry on the arm and I covered my mouth.

He opened his eyes quickly and groaned when he saw me. He looked around for a minute and raised his eyebrows tiredly.

“Oh my God. I can’t believe I did this. With you.” He grabbed his shirt and got out of the car.

Wait. What?

I got out with him and grabbed his arm, but he roughly pulled away. “Why are you just going to leave? Harry I thought that-”

“Well you thought wrong Haize. I told you that I was going to regret this tomorrow, and I did. This can’t be a regular thing. I am still upset about the whole Mason thing.”

“You…” I trailed off to take all of this in. “You played me!” I yelled and he growled.

“You’re the one who swayed me! You’re the one who got me to fall in love with you Haize! And then you’re the one who kissed another guy in front of me when I actually thought we had a chance! And you have the nerve to say that I played you?!” He yelled.

I looked down because I was speechless. I really couldn’t say anything after that.

“Yeah. That’s what I thought goody-goody.” I looked up at him and his eyes were daring me to say something else, but I just looked at him and he laughed before walking away.

I sucked in a breath and started to cry. And then I started to walk home.

When I walked up to the home, Luke’s car was in the driveway and she had just walked into the house.

Wait. Why didn’t she go to the funeral?


“Luke!” I yelled, just as she shut the door. I walked into the house and called her name again, and she quickly turned around to meet me.

“Where have you been?” She snapped.

“I was, um… Why?”

“I was out all night looking for you Haize. Do you not know how worried I was? You disappeared right after the funeral and you didn’t even say anything to me.”

“Well I- Wait you knew Mason was having a funeral but you didn’t bother showing up?” She crossed her arms and shrugged. “What is the matter with you? He loved you, and you just… Decide to skip out on his funeral.”

“Well it’s your fault he’s dead!” She yelled.

Oh my God. Does Harry have everyone believing that the only person that I truly trusted it dead?
Tears filled my eyes and I shook my head. “No. No it’s not my fault.”

She softened and then she sighed. “Haize I’m sorry. I know its not your fault. I was just caught in the moment.” She walked up to me and hugged me.


We spent the next couple of hours talking and catching up with each other. And I told her exactly where I was last night, and I swear to you she’s probably never going to let it down.

And while I was trying to go to sleep, I kept thinking about Harry. And how this was going to keep on happening between us.

Are we always going to fight like this? Are we ever going to be a real couple?

I was just about to fall asleep when I heard a knock on the front door. I waited a few minutes to see if anybody would answer the door. But no. No one did.

I groaned and looked at the clock on my bedside table that said ‘2:56’.

I groaned again and walked out of my room and to the front door. When I opened the door and groaned yet another time and tried to close it.

“I have to talk to you.” He rasped.

“Harry. Do you have any idea what time it is? And quite frankly, I don’t want to talk to you because you’ll start yelling me and I am not in the mood.” I went to shut the door but he stopped it again.

“I have to talk to you. Now.”
