I turned around to face the red, puffy eyed boy standing behind me.

“Are you talking to me?” I asked, trying to clarify my thoughts.

“Um, who else would I be talking to?” He snapped, sarcasm clear in his tone.

“What do you want?” I crossed my arms.

“I wanna know why you didn’t write a eulogy and go up there and talk,” He walked up to me and shrugged. “After all, you’re practically the one who killed him.”

No. I am not doing this today! “I didn’t kill him.”

“Well that is very clear Haize. But you’re the one who pushed Julian into doing it.” He crossed his arms and gave me a sneer.

“Mason is the one who tried to beat him up! I didn’t even talk to Mason that day except for when you rudely interrupted us at lunch.”

He rolled his eyes and said, “So you’re saying that it’s his own fault why he’s dead?”

“No, Harry that is not what I’m saying-”

“You know what? I don’t even know why I am talking to you. Here, Nate is having a party and he insisted on me inviting you. He could’ve picked any other girl in the world, but he chose the pretty, naive girl. Isn’t that what Mason used to call you? Oh wait, I forgot. You don’t care about Mason.” He then shoved a piece of paper onto my chest and walked away.

And of course, I’m going to the party.

I dressed in a small pair of jeans, my Vans, and a Nirvana t-shirt. I didn’t want to wear anything pretty just in case I didn’t stay that long. And plus, Mason is still on my mind and I don’t want to cry in front of a bunch of strangers.

When I walked up to the written address, I knocked on the door and Nate immediately opened it.

“Baby! Come in come in! We’ve been missing you!” I stepped into the overly crowded house and I immediately made eye contact with Harry, but he broke it by looking away.

Then he started flirting with some random girl that was standing close to him.

Okay, you wanna place the jealousy game Harry? Bring it on.

I spent all night dancing with Nate, and Harry spent all night flirting with that girl and making sneers at me if me made eye contact.

And at one point, I was completely wasted, and I don’t know what I was thinking. But I was looking at Harry the whole time, and I think I was just caught in the moment. Because when Nate looked at me, he kissed me. And the bad thing about that is, I let him kiss me.

Then all of a sudden I felt a rather tight grip on my shoulder and I was shoved into a wall. “You just won’t stop will you?!”

I put my hand on my temples and when I adjusted myself, I opened my eyes and saw blazing green ones.
