Listen To Your Heart ~ COMPLETED

Ohana

Harry’s POV
After the officers left, I decided that now would be a good time to nap for a little while. They said they would call if they found anything out, so I wasn’t going to sweat it. The guys must have senses me being all laid back all of a sudden, because they started to get really concerned.

“You’re just going to sleep? How can you sleep with her gone?” Louis yelled loudly causing me to wince.

“Lou, give him a break. He’s tired! We’re all tired,” El reasoned on my side.

“So your on his side?” he spat.

“No, I-”

“It’s fine, Eleanor. I appreciate that your standing up for me, but Lou’s right.” She sighed and nodded at me. I looked over at Lou seeing his face was down too now, as well as everyone else. “I mean, we just got back together, and I don’t even know where she is. I can’t help but to think that this is my fault.”

“No, Harry. It’s not your fault. We don’t know what happened, but I can assure that we will find her,” Zayn said.

“Yeah. That’s what friends do; they help each other,” Perrie smiled.

“But, we’re all more than friends. We’re like one, big family,” Niall says.

“And you know what they say about families? They stick together,” Liam steps in.

“Because ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten,” Dani smiles. I can see everyone now trying to hold back tears, and I soon realize that I’ve already started to let some free.

“Group hug!” Louis calls and soon I am squished together next to my crazy, strange, but loving ohana.

Harmony’s POV
I woke up just as the sun is rising outside. I let out a yawn, lifting my arms up over my head. Wait, what? I looked at my arms, free of restraints. They were slightly bruised and burned from struggling around in the ropes, but I was just glad that I could move. I looked down at my ankles, also untied now. Am I just dreaming?

“Good morning, sunshine. Sleep well?”

“Not likely,” I scoffed and turned my head to meet the vengeful eyes of the enemy.

“Aw, look at you. You’re free,” he said in a baby voice. I rolled my eyes. What am I, three? He walked over and roughly took my shoulders in his blistery hands before scolding me. “Try to escape and Drew is dead, no second chances. Understand?”

I can only nod and obey. I don’t dare to make a move, knowing very well that this man wouldn’t hesitate to take action upon his words. I look down at my hands and play with my fingers.

“I left you some food over there on that table. I’ve also decided to make you feel more at home. Over there is a bed. There’s a bathroom over there. I hope you’ve been holding it in,” he said before leaving.

I make using a toilet my first priority. I can’t even explain how I managed to keep it in for all this time. Then, I took an apple off of the table and filled my body with fuel.

After I finished, I made my way to the worn out mattress on the ground, and lay down staring up at the ceiling. I guess I’m just supposed to lay here now. There isn’t much I can do.

I shift my gaze over to the light shining in through the window. The window! That’s it! I get up slowly and listen through the other side of the door to make sure no one is on the other side. Minutes of silence pass before I decide that it’s safe to try.

When I reach the window, I have to shield my eyes to avoid the harmful rays of the sun. I stand to the side of the window and use the chair to boost myself higher. I ran my fingers along the outline of the warm glass frame stopping at the lock on the bottom. Twisting the lock ever so carefully, I held in my cry of joy when it opened with ease. The silence surrounding me was soon filled with a loud alarm when the windowpane was pushed open. I heard someone fumbling with the lock on the door, and I scrambled to push myself through the small opening.

“Hey! What do you think your doing?” he yelled at me as he entered the room. I finally pushed myself out of the window and turned around to peer in at him. I stuck my tongue out and laughed before slamming the window shut and running out of this… um…

Yup, I’m lost. I hear the guy starting to pound on the window, trying to get it open. Guess it’s time to run now. I start to sprint through a bunch of trees, but this sure doesn’t look like a forest. In fact it looks like the back of the park I used to play in when I was a little girl.

“Come back here!” I hear. I dash in and out of trees to try and lose this old guy, but even in his age he can keep up with me.

Ahead of me, I can hear the faint laugh of small children enjoying themselves. I smile to myself. ‘Almost there,’ I tell myself. I see the light of high noon hit me in the face, and I can tell you, it feels really nice. In fact I could stand here all day, basking in the sun’s glory, but I decided: Eh better run before this creep catches me.

Heads turn as I run past innocent citizens on the streets. Behind me, random flyers are flying, people are struggling to get back, a few are yelling at me wondering what my problem is, but I don’t stop for anything, or anyone for that matter. I stopped at an intersection to catch my breath. I turned around, expecting him to still be within sight, but he was no longer there. My eyebrows furrowed at this conundrum. I was about to continue walking, when someone grabbed my hand.

Harry’s POV
As much as it tears my heart to say this, all we can do right now is wait really. Even the guys have come to accept that nothing we can do right now will help. I’m really upset about it, but what do I know? I’m not a specialized agent trained in finding people. It’s just not my job.

Everyone went out for lunch, but I decided to stay here in case Harmony came back. They agreed, but they expect me to eat whatever they bring me back.

I hear the doorbell ring and rush to the door with a chance of hope that it may be Harmony. However, the same girl, whom I’ve never seen out of uniform before, waited at the doorstep offering me a shy smile.

“Look, I’m not really interested in buying cookies right now…” I said.

“That’s good, because I don’t have any,” she says.

“Then why are you-”

“I heard about… um… Harmony. I’m sorry…” she looked down at her feet.

“You don’t have to be sorry. It’s not your fault,” I said.

“But it is my fault. He was looking for her; I didn’t know he’d take her,” she started crying.

“Maybe you should come inside,” I said looking around to make sure no one was there.

She slowly made her way inside still crying, and I led her to the couch. I wanted to question her already, but I didn’t know what to do with her crying.

“Do you want anything to drink?” I asked shyly. She coughed on a few of her tears, but shook her head.

“No, I’m good. Sorry, I just…” she stopped talking. It was silent for a few minutes and the suspense was killing me. I couldn’t take it any longer.

“What happened?”
