The Cruel Realities Of Love
The Blame Game
I walked away, thinking about why everybody seemed to hate her. I tried to reason with Nicole, but things didn't turn out the way I had hoped.
"Look, Harry. That stupid girl brings trouble everywhere she goes! At Halloween, she broke the huge plaster ghoul head we made. At Christmas time, she knocked over the ten foot tree we put up, including the ornaments and lights! Oh, and for Easter-"
"Okay, I get it. But she might just naturally be clumsy, you know," I said.
Nicole huffed, a sneer contorting her pretty face. "Nobody does all that on accident, Harry."
"How do you know that?"
Before she could reply, Astrid showed up. Her dark auburn hair hung in waves, covering up most of her face, but her grey eyes shone like diamonds. She took a deep breath before saying quietly but clearly, "I made the ghoul head, but Victoria broke it and blamed it on me. Someone shoved me into the Christmas tree that I was forced to decorate because you said you were too busy."
Nicole stared at her, her eyes burning with fury. Astrid only smiled a bit and walked away to her own friends. "Why did you lie to me?" I looked at her, slightly upset.
"I'm getting that bitch back for showing me up!" Her voice is high-pitched as she storms away.
"You didn't answer my question," I mutter, looking back at Astrid for a second before going after Nicole.
Notes
I know, it's been so long since I updated this story, but I was writing on Wattpad and on a Percy Jackson fanfic website too! I swear, I'll update more often from now on!
