Liam was sitting outside the campus steps with a book in his hand until someone came and plopped down next to him. He didn't look up he concentrated on his book
Liam: hey Louis
Louis: how'd you know it was me
Liam: good question, just my your footsteps
Louis: my footsteps?
Liam: everyone has a way of walking you happen to make one of those scraping noises but only as you walk up the stairs
Louis got red
Louis: I noticed your always reading something
Liam: I like to keep occupied you know
Louis: I'm more of a going out and experiences things on my own.
Liam: that's cool
He still hasn't looked up.
Louis: what's your book about
Liam: "The Catcher in the Rye" bout this lad named Holden Caulfield and
He gets kicked out of his private school and he goes back home to NYC and he just hangs around and goes places and well that's all I got so far.
Louis: fascinating
He finally looked up and turned to him
Liam: ya think so?
Louis: you seem to be enjoying since you finally looked up since I've got here
Liam: I apologize I just get caught up.
Louis; you ready for the lab today
Liam: yah how hard can it be
He stood up and entered through the double doors Louis trailing behind him.
Liam: how do we know who's out partner
Louis: depends on what the professor says i guess
Liam: well who they pair me up with someone who doesn't hav a partner
Louis: yes! And that would be me:) he smiled towards him
Liam laughs
Liam: alright then partner I hope you know what your doing
Louis: you would have thought
They both laugh. The room fills up with students and everyone takes their seats. Out of nowhere a girl comes up to Liam
Girl: hey your Liam right?
Liam: yes....
Girl: hi umm I'm Samantha and well since you don't have a lab partner I thought we can team up the professor is ok with it, I spoke to him already
Liam didn't know what to say
Liam: umm I'm.....I already hav a partner though
Samantha: that's impossible u just came here
Liam: my partner is Louis
Samantha: oh Louis already has one. He has been assigned to a partner
Louis: no I haven't
Samantha: if u paid attention in class you would know that Manny is ur partner
Louis: manny?
Samantha: seriously you guys work together
Louis: I know who manny is I just didn't think he had this lab class
Samantha: well he does he was
Assigned as ur partner the list is there
She points to the board
Louis rolled his eyes as he went to take his seat and Samantha pulled Liam to her table
Samantha: sooo..how do u lik this place
Liam: it's only my fourth day of class I don't know really
Samantha: well if ever need anything just ask anyone for Samantha everyone knows me and well I go by Sam as well.
Liam: good to know
The professor walked in and they began their lab every time Liam looked over to Sam she was doing something other than her work. Texting, talking to the people behind her, twirling her hair and this was suppose to be a "group work"
Liam ignores it and does the work but only puts his name down on the paper. It was the last class of the day and Liam was heading out. Just as he was going to hand in his work Sam stopped him.
Sam: Liam!! Hold on
He turned and she came rushing towards him
Liam: something wrong??
Sam: yah she laughs...the paper
Liam: the paper??
Sam: i didn't write my name
Liam was about to jump out on her but he kept quiet and let her write her name on a paper in which he did all the work by himself. He headed out the room and louis came up behind him
Louis: hi!!
Liam: hi!
Louis: that lab sucked
Liam: ur telling me
Louis: yah but you looked like you knew what you were doing
Liam: yah I did but my partner seems to take advantage of things
Louis: what do you mean
Liam: never mind
Louis shrugged
Louis: wanna stop by the cafe I can make a blueberry iced coffee for yah
Liam: I could use that! Thanks
Louis: of course buddy
He said while putting his arm on his shoulder. They had their coffee at the cafe and Manny walks in
Manny: jeez that lab was insane
Louis: speak for urself
Manny: ey..Lium
Liam: it's Liam
Manny: whatever...saw u checking out Sam he winks at him
Louis just sat there is complete shock *it couldn't be, no!!* he thought to himself
Liam: I..I mean she's a nice girl...I guess
Manny; yah she's been around ;)
Liam: oooh.....umm good to know I guess
He felt awkward at this conversation and just wanted to leave
Liam: umm I shud go I have work to do
Manny: you just got out of school
Liam: doesn't hurt to start early
Manny: *whispers to himslef* what a geek
But Louis heard and glared at him
Liam: ill see you tomorrow
Louis didn't want Liam to leave he wanted him to stay and he didn't want Manny around either
Louis: yah see yah.....
Before Liam went out the door Louis called out to him
Louis: hey Liam.
Liam turned around
Louis: you think you can help me with the Biology work we have I got kinda confused and I gave up
Liam: sure if u want you can stop by my place and we can work on it together. Here is my address. He said while scribbling on a piece of paper and handed it to Louis
Louis: alright see you later then
Liam: yah
Liam headed out and Louis had a mini party in his mind. He couldn't wait!
It was almost a quarter to 4 and Louis was all ready with his books for his studying with Liam evening. He had everything planned out. He didn't want anything to go wrong. He left his home and headed to Liam's house. He even stopped by the cafe and picked up a box of donuts. He realized how close by Liam was to his home. He finally arrived and Liam was just entering.
Liam: hey Louis
Louis: hi...oh is this a bad time..maybe I should have called but I didn't have your number and___
Liam: no no I was coming back I had to drop something at the post office so I ran there and back. And yah it's my fault I should have out my number down at the same time...well at least your here
Louis: same goes for you
Liam: come in
Louis entered his home and he was completely shocked how neat it was. Compared to his room. Everything was in place and organized the fireplace has photos lined up of him and his family. He came across the last picture which was a picture of Liam with someone...another guy!!?! Louis felt a rush of pain and happiness! He now knew that Liam had feelings similar to what Louis has except he was sharing it with another guy. He ignored it but Liam caught him
Liam: that's my cousin
Louis: ooh
Liam: yah we get along rlly well except he does bother me a lot
Louis; how come?
Liam: he can't accept who I am
Louis: how long ago was this
Liam: three years I think it was probably the only time we got along I hadn't came up and told him about it. I wish I hadn't. I feel judged all the time
Louis: I know how you feel...
Louis gave Liam the box of donuts who took it to the kitchen put it on a plate and set it on the table where they would be doing their work. Liam grabbed his book and Louis put his books down too. They began their work Liam helped Louis step but step with everything making sure he understood what was going on..and as time passed Louis knew what was what
Louis: wow...everything makes so much sense now
Liam: it's always easy when you know what you're doing and how it's done.
They did a few practice questions and while Liam was explaining or the doorbell rang which distracted Louis. He figured that since Liam didn't stand up to go open the dirt it might have been a mistake. He looked back down at the book and back at Liam and watched how his mouth moved as he explained the problem to him. He got lost in his eyes. He heard the jingle of keys and was startled and went back to the question. Footsteps approached where they were sitting
Liam: hey!
He heard a voice say hi back. It was a guy The guy approached to them and greeted them. Louis was confused as to who this person was.
Liam: sorry where are my manners
Louis this is Harry, Harry, Louis
Guy: hi.., so your Louis, Liam has told me Alot about you
Louis got all excited inside...Liam talks about him he felt special.
Louis: nice to meet you Harry.
Liam: there's a plate of some food all warmed up its in the oven so stays warm and here...
He took a napkin and picked up one of the donuts and handed him one
Liam: have one they are rlly yummy it's from the cafe Louis works at.
Harry: thanks babe..ill let you two finish your work
*BABE....BABE!!! He called him babe what's going on is Harry Liam's...no it can't be it just cant* is what was going through Louis mind
Liam sat back down and so did Louis
Liam: so that's Harry
Louis: I didn't know you lived with someone
Liam: oh well Harry works with this company and his section got moved here to this town so he had no choice but to move and so I didn't want him to leave and he didn't want to leave me alone so we were lucky and we found an apartment that's perfect for us
Louis: how long have you been friends
Liam laughed
Liam: well I've known Harry for a long time and were a lot closer than friends...*he paused* Harry is my boyfriend.
When Louis heard those words he was crushed, broken, falling apart from hearing those words come out his mouth.
Louis: oh I didn't know..wow that's great then...
Liam: yah he's been there for me for so long he was there for me when my ex, Zayn broke up with me. It was rlly hard.. It was a huge struggle for me. Ya know
Louis: I know how you feel. I felt the world was going to end if I wasn't with Niall, I was in love with him and well he just didn't feel the same way.
Liam: srry to hear that...but hey it will work out for you, when one door closes another opens....besides your a charming young lad you'll find someone.
Louis giggled to himself and loved the fact that Liam called him charming
Liam: so any other questions
Louis: you know I think I got it from here I understand everything thank you so much for all your help. I couldn't have done it without you
Liam: anytime...if you need anything just ask...and here is my number text anything or call if you want to stop by for help.. I'm normally home unless I'm running an errand but Harry is always home before me he just had a meeting today so he will open the door and he'll contact me letting you know that your here and everything
Louis: alright sure...thanks
He took the paper with Liam's number on it and headed for the door
Louis: thanks once again for your help
Liam: no problem he told him leaning on the door just as Harry came up behind him and put his hand around his waist
Harry: thanks for the donuts and hey if you ever need anything don't be shy just ask
The only thing Louis needed was for Liam to be in love with him and he can't just ask Harry to leave it wouldn't be right and it would be unfair to both Liam and dare he say Harry in whom he didn't like all because he had the key to Liam's heart
Louis: thanks :) have a good night
Liam: you too get home safe..text me and let me know if you got home safe so I don't worry it's kinda my fault why your here so late so I just wanna make sure everything will be ok
Louis: thanks and yah I will
Louis was touched that Liam cared about him and his safety. He helped him with his bio..he gave dinner he even wanted him to text him to make sure he got home safe.
Louis walked home Brokenhearted. He culdnt believe that Liam had a boyfriend and he was gorgeous too. He arrived home changed into his pjs, brushed his teeth and right away grabbed his phone and added Liam to his contact and texted him
Louis: hey! It's Louis I'm home safe:) thanks again for your help. Good night
A few seconds later Liam texted him back
Liam: no problem, anytime...sweet dreams
