It was the usual day for Louis as he headed to work. He hated his job like most people but he got over it. It kept his mind off things especially with his Ex. They were together for almost two years. he never imagined that one day it would be over between the two of them. But he always kept in his mind that life goes on so he should too. Summer was almost over and Louis worked his butt off that he had saved up a lot. School was starting soon. Lucky for Lou he only had a few classes.
Just as he got into his work clothes a young guy walked in. He look confused is what Louis thought. But the guy was silent. He took a table and sat down and opened his book. He didn't look too happy either. The strangest thing was Louis has never seen him around before
Louis called out to his partner silently
Louis: psst Manny
Manny: what's the problem
Louis: ever seen that guy before around
Manny: nope...
Louis: hmmm...strange if u ask me he just walked in and started reading his book
Manny: well then you must remember your job...
Louis: meaning
Manny: go take his order
He said while shoving a notepad and pen to his chest. Louis grasped at them. Just as manny turned around Louis gave him that "I don't like you face" behind his back
Louis walked up to the table where the strange guy was sitting and cleared his throat
Louis: hi in Louis an ill be serving you..can I get you anything
The guy looked up
Guy: ooh umm ill just hav an iced coffee
Louis: alright:) we have these new flavors that came out can I interest you in any
Guy: well what do u recommend
Louis: I personally like the blueberry, but that's just me..
Guy: well it's my first time being here and I trust you know what you serve well so ill go with the blueberry
Louis: alright awesome...you won't be sorry trust me....
Louis tilted his head towards the guy
Louis: your not from around here are you?
Guy: no actually I'm not I just recently moved from my hometown
Louis: oh that's cool we'll I hope you like it here
Guy: thanks
Louis left and went to make the guy his blueberry iced coffee
Manny: so Who is he
Louis: some guy
Manny: *sarcastically* oooh and does this guy happen to have a name
Louis: I didn't ask...that's not my job! I take the orders thank you very much why does it matter that you know his name
Manny: just curious he said smiling at him shyly
Louis: yah....no! That's just an excuse for people like you to be noisy
Manny: hey....! I am not noisy he laughs
Louis nodded his head as he added the whip cream to the iced coffee
Louis: yah u r
He walked past him and headed to the table
Louis: here you are
The guy looks up
Guy: thank......Louis he says while reading his name tag
Louis: my pleasure ....he hesitated
Guy: Liam...my name is Liam
Louis: it's my pleasure Liam
Louis goes back to work.
Liam stood up held his text books in his hands and held his drink in the other. He left the money on the table and saluted to Louis as he left the cafe.
Manny: wow..made a friend
Louis: he's new in town he's rlly nice
Manny: ugh...great
Louis: why the attitude put yourself in his shoes how would you feel if you came to new town and knew nobody wouldn't you like it if you were able to make at least a friend.
Manny; why do defensive you just meet him and you don't even know his name
Louis: Liam! His name is Liam
Manny: so wow so you only met this dude and you already know his name and that he's new in town
Louis: what's your deal anyway
Manny was silent
Louis: right then, if you'll excuse me I have to get back to work.
After a long hard day at work Louis was exhausted. He just wanted to go home take a nice hot shower and sleep. Tomorrow was Monday so he had class which he wasn't looking forward too. He arrived at home took a shower had a bite to eat and went to bed. Oddly enough throughout the rest of day the name Liam kept repeating to him and his image kept coming to Louis's mind. He tried to sleep him off but he only ended up thinking about him.
The next morning Louis got dressed had a nice breakfast grab his knapsack and headed to school. When he arrived at campus he noticed a familiar face sitting at the steps with his head in an AP Calculus Textbook
Louis: Liam?
Liam looked up put his pencil down and closed the book
Liam: good morning Louis
Louis: what are you doing here
Liam: I transferred here from my university so I'm pretty much finishing my education if u wanna get technical
Louis: wow good choice:) what classes r u taking
Liam shower Louis his schedule and they both had a two hour free period at the same time and they had bio together
Louis: hey we your in my bio lecture
Liam: oh that's great now I won't be an outcast
Louis: I should warn u I'm not very good in bio
Liam: science is my subject so I can help you out
Louis: thanks Liam
Liam: my pleasure
Liam looked to his watch and he realized it was time for him to go to class
Liam: you wouldn't happen to know where I can find room A106
Louis: yeh it's in building 1A
*He points to the building*
And then 106 would be down the hall.. I'm actually headed to that building. I'll take you there
Liam smiled stood up put his bag on one shoulder and walked beside Louis as they headed to their class
