Welcomed Into The Darkness

Luke's POV
I wait for Rose to reject me because i already know she is. Her mouth opens to reply and i await rejection
"Fine, but if this goes bad-" she starts but i cut her off
"It won't" i assure her, but i am actually still hoping it goes right. She gestures for me to lead the way, so I do. I try to grab her hand but she pulls her hand away from mine, only making me chuckle.
Rose's POV
I don't know what made me want to accept his offer, but i guess i wanted to prove to Lilac that she isn't the only one who can take risks. I follow Luke to i don't even know where, until we reach a diner, the same one that I met him at. He turns to me with a smile, but all i do is furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Why is he taking me here? He opens the door and waits for me to walk in, a huge smile plastered on his face as i walk in. I choose a booth before sitting down. He sits across from me and i am glad that he does so.
"So, do you mind telling me why we're here?" i ask
"Well, i thought I should explain further what Michael and Calum already told you, and what better way to do it than over food?" he says with a side smile
"Are you sure there is more than what they already told me?" i ask, raising my eyebrow
"Yes there is" he says, trying to keep his cool
"Fine, explain" i say, allowing him to continue
"Okay, well yes, i am in a gang, but i didn't ask for that lifestyle" he starts
"How do you not ask for it?" i ask, in utter confusion
"I just didn't!" he snaps "After a while, the boys grew on me and eventually, i gained Ashton's trust and now I am second in command" he says
"Must be a great accomplishment huh? Being able to kill just because you can" i say, sarcasm is full in my voice
"Can you atleast try to make an effort?" he asks
"Continue" i say
"To answer your question, it kind of is nice because they deserve it" he says "But, since i have to do certain things, there are times when i wish i went another way" he admits
"Than why don't you?" i ask
"It isn't that simple. For one, I need money for.....reasons" he says, hesitating to tell me why "And two, it isn't easy to leave a gang, if you haven't heard" he says
"Ok" i say, now allowing him to go on without any judgements
"Look, i know what Michael and Calum told you sounded bad, but we have a reason for what we do." he tells me
"That doesn't answer my question on why you treat girls like we are some toy that you can play with" i say
"They told you that too, ay?" he asks
"Yeah" i say
"Well, that is just something that we do for fun" he admits
"Seriously? You think a girl with a broken heart is fun?" i ask
"Well, no, but it's not like we will have a chance with a real relationship from what people think of us" he says, trying not to say something else wrong
"Have you ever thought that maybe the lifestyle is your fault?" i ask, not able to contain my anger anymore. If he thinks girls are just here for playing with, he better think again
"Yes i have but they won't give us a chance! Look at how you reacted. I honestly thought you would've rejected my offer!" he yells
"Well, maybe i should've" i say, making his face fall, but i couldn't care less right now.
"Look, i know what you think of me, and i honestly don't know why i thought it mattered, but i am not letting you think that i am some guy with no heart" he says more softly
"Than prove me otherwise because as far as i know and see, that's exactly what i see" i spat
"Excuse me, but are you going to order because if you're not not, than i am going to have to ask you to leave" a waiter tells us
"We'll get some water for now" Luke says, not even looking away from me, and the waiter nods before leaving to get out drinks.
"Luke, i don't think this is a good idea. I am just going to go" i say but he grabs my hand so i can stay
"No you're not. If you agree with me, you stay 'til it's over, got it princess?" he says, purposely using the nickname that i despise.
"I told you-" i start but he cuts me off
"I really don't give a fuck anymore princess" he says and i roll my eyes. I stay silent
"I tried being nice to show you that i am different but that is over now" he says and i get scared by what he means "I mean sure we are guilty for sleeping with girls and killing but i have my lifestyle and you have yours, so i am not even going to give you a damn apology for how i am just because it doesn't fit with your fucking fairytale" he hisses
"My life is anything but a fairytale so don't make me seem perfect" i hiss back
"Than stop acting like you are" he says
"You have no idea what i have been through" i say, shaking my head and tears are prickling in my eyes as i remember what happened before Lilac and I moved here
"Than enlighten me" he says
"You don't deserve to know Hemmings" i say
"I am surprised you know my last name" he says with a smirk
"I do my research" i shrug
"Someone likes what they see" he mocks
"Don't flatter yourself. I wouldn't be with you if you were the last guy on the planet" i spat
"Ouch" he jokes "Anyways, how do I not know your perfect life?" he asks
"Stop saying it's perfect, you ass" i snap
"I'm only speaking the truth" he says, and i don't want to hear another word. I get up, but before i leave, i am not letting him keep thinking my life is like a fairytale.
"Next time you make accusations, make sure you know someone because perfect is far from what my life has been. If you think i am some spoiled girl then think again, because i doubt you would believe what i had to go through before i moved here with my sister. But honestly, i think we would be better where we were because i wouldn't of had to meet such an asshole like you" I hiss before storming out of the diner. Well he was wrong because it did go wrong and he is to blame for that.

Sooooo what do you all think?! I hope it was a good update, because i had to erase and re-write numerous times to make it right soooo yeah :) So what do you guys think is Luke's reason for needing money? What about Rose's outburst? We will try to update soon! :) Love you guys xx
