The Wedding Planner

Chapter Twelve

Kennedy’s POV
It’s been about three weeks since Harry and I made up and things have been going pretty smoothly. When I have to go out and run some errands for the wedding, Harry comes with me now. Most of the time he doesn’t know what’s going on but when he does he tries to help and put his two sense in. Tonight however, Harry was taking me out to dinner. Today was our two month anniversary and I was excited for tonight. I had all the girls help me pick out a present for him. When we decided on a present I had to ask one of the boys for some help and soon I got it completed and I had to make a few extra copies for everyone. Today was long for me though because we were getting closer to the wedding and I had to do once overs for a lot of different things so I was on the phone most of the morning and afternoon. I had just finished my last call to the caterer when there was a knock on the door. My parents allowed me to stay in the flat and actually just gave it to me because they didn’t like living in London as much as they thought they would. We fought but once I start my business I will be paying them rent since they wouldn’t let me pay for any bills. I opened the door and there stood Andrea, Eleanor, Perrie, and Danielle all with bags of things and dresses.

“We’re going to play life-size Barbie dolls love!” Perrie exclaimed and they all walked into the room.

“I don’t have a say in this do I?” I asked and they all grinned and shook their heads no.

They then proceeded to drag me to my room where they ordered me to shower and clean up. When I was completely done in my bathroom, I was then brought out to my room where I was put in a ton of different dresses.

“Do I at least get to pick my dress?” I asked the girls.

“No,” Eleanor said, “Because you would pick the safest dress out there and we can’t have that now.”

I sighed dramatically and all the girls laughed.

“Well do you know what he has planned?” I asked and the girls all looked at each other with giant grins on their faces, “You do know!”

“No we don’t,” Eleanor said quickly and I gave her a look.

“Tell me please!” I begged and they all laughed and shook their heads no.

“Sorry love it’s going to ruin the surprise,” Eleanor said and just pouted as I got into the last dress.

“Oh my,” Andrea gasped when I stood up completely.

“This is the dress,” Danielle said, “You look stunning in it.”

“I have to agree,” Eleanor said.

“You’re welcome bitches,” Perrie said grinning, “And you all thought that, that dress was too much.”

I just started laughing at Perrie’s comment which made her grin like a child and all the girls joined in. Once we all calmed down I had to take the dress off to get my hair and makeup done. I felt like I spent an eternity sitting in the chair when someone knocked on the door.

“Is that him?” Eleanor asked as Andrea and Danielle rushed to get it, “He’s two hours early.”

The phone in my lap then started ringing Kiss You and Harry’s picture popped up. I had to stifle a laugh because he changed the picture of him to him trying to look sexy for the camera.

“Hello,” I said as I answered it.

“Did you enjoy my new contact photo?” his smooth voice asked me and I just laughed.

“Don’t quit you’re day job,” I said and he just scoffed and I could picture him rolling his eyes.

“Are you ready for tonight?” he asked quietly and I had to smile.

“I don’t know what you have planned but I’m quiet worried because I’ve been in a chair getting my hair done and makeup done for like the past three hours,” I said quietly.

“She’s talking to Harry!” Eleanor exclaimed.

“Found him he’s talking to her!” I heard Louis exclaim.

“We’re so busted,” I giggled.

“I’ll see you soon Kenni. Love you,” he said.

“Love you too Hazza,” I replied as my phone was taken from me.

“You know you need to keep your boy under a close eye,” Perrie said, “She didn’t call him.”

Perrie then walked out of the room while Eleanor finished my hair.

“Can I ask why we’re not allowed to speak to each other until tonight?” I asked.

“Because you both can talk each other into telling each other the surprises and its no fun when that happens,” Danielle stated and I just laughed.

In the past two months Andrea and I have become super close to the girls and we knew every little thing about each other. Once Eleanor was done with my hair, I was then given to Andrea who did my makeup. My makeup felt like it took forever but when it was completely done, I was then dressed. Danielle was in charge of jewelry and accessories and I was putting my shoes on when there was a knock on the door. Andrea rushed to answer it and I heard five voices enter my flat.

“Where is she?” I heard Harry’s voice full of anticipation and excitement.

“She’s still getting ready,” Andrea replied, “She’ll be out in a minute.”

I was then allowed to look at myself in the mirror and I was taken aback. The girl in the mirror was beautiful. My hair had a braid and then it was put into a curly side ponytail that laid perfectly on my left shoulder. The dress was beautiful it was a mint color with black roses all over it. It was beautiful. I spun around and saw Harry dressed in a pair of slacks and white dress shirt with a black bow and black suit jacket (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=80164460).

“You look. . .” he started in awe, “Amazing.”

“Thanks,” I blushed, “It was all the girls’ work.”

All the girls were smiling widely and I walked up to him and he grabbed my hand. We walked into the living room and all of the boys stopped talking and started at me wide eyed.

“You look beautiful Kennedy,” Niall first spoke up and stood up to hug me and kiss my cheek.

“Thanks Niall,” I replied.

The rest of the boys took their turn of hugging me and telling me I looked pretty. I took all their complements in stride but I took Harry’s words to heart. If he was speechless then the girls must have done a great job on me.

“Okay,” Harry said grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers, “I know you all want to stand a gawk at my beautiful girlfriend but we have reservations at seven. We’ll see you all later.”

“Bye,” everyone said and before I could say anything back Harry was pulling me towards the elevator.

“Slow down,” I giggled, “I don’t walk the greatest with heels on.”

“I just want to get out of here before the paps show up,” Harry said and I laughed at the nervousness in his voice.

“Will you calm down Harry,” I smiled, “I’ve been living with the paps for a really long time now. Nothing is going to bother me. Let’s just enjoy tonight okay. We ignore the paps and have the time of our lives.”

Harry just grinned and kissed my lips.

“Have I told you I love you lately?” he asked smiling at me.

“If you don’t count that one then you haven’t mentioned it in about an hour,” I laughed and he just shook his head.

When the elevator doors opened, we saw the sea of paps and Harry frowned.

“They’re not going to ruin our night Harry,” I said knowing what he was thinking.

“Then let’s go my lady,” he said and grabbed my hand and we faced the paps together.

The paps were like they always were; yelling questions at us asking where we were going and what the special occasion was. They were all over us and I could Harry was getting a bit worried about me. I gave him an encouraging smile and before we knew it we finally made it to Harry’s newest car. He bought an Audi a few months back and only took it out every once in a while.

“You decided to take the fancy car,” I giggled as he opened my door.

“Only the best,” he smiled his famous smile, dimples and all.

He then quickly rushed to his side and got in. He started the car and all the paps moved away so he could pull out of the parking lot.

“Do you think they’ll follow us?” he asked and I laughed.

“Probably,” I said as he grabbed my hand, “But where are we going?”

“You’ll just have to wait,” he grinned, “I’m not telling you.”

“This is so not fair,” I pouted.

I hate surprises absolutely hated them with a passion. I needed to know everything or I would feel uncomfortable so this whole surprise anniversary dinner thing was driving me nuts. Harry was soon laughing at my fidgeting and gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.

“You’re not planning on killing me do you?” I asked, “Because your sister would absolutely kill you since her wedding is at the end of the month.”

“Good thing I don’t plan on doing anything of that sort,” he said, “Besides since you’re not in the flat I’ve watched every type of criminal show available on Netflix. I would totally make it look like an accident.”

I just rolled my eyes and Harry started laughing.

“Just relax love,” he said, “We’re almost there.”

I sighed in defeat and shook my head.

“You’re lucky I love you Styles,” I said and he laughed.

“I am lucky,” he said and I just rolled my eyes.

Harry soon pulled into a parking spot and got out of the car. He quickly rushed over to my side before I could open my door and helped me out of the car. He then grabbed my hand and I followed him. We walked down the block a few ways and I had to smile. There was a new karaoke bar that opened up last month and I remember telling Harry that I wanted to come and try it out after all of the wedding craziness. From what I read online it was a fancy restaurant and karaoke bar. They had a specific dress code and you had to have a reservation to even get in. A giant smile broke out on my face and I saw Harry grin.

“You remembered,” I said shocked and laughed.

“Of course,” he said in a fake appalled voice, “I’m definitely offended that you thought I forgot.”

“You hate karaoke,” I said laughing as we got closer.

“Well I can pretend to like it for one night,” he said, “but you’re not getting me back in here unless I absolutely have to.”

“I’m telling Louis about this,” I grinned and Harry groaned.

Louis loved karaoke just as much I as did which when someone ever mentioned it Louis and I were the first ones on board. Harry and I walked up to the giant line that was there and we waited.

“Are you going to make me sing?” he asked and I laughed lightly.

“Not if you don’t want to,” I said, “We can just listen to the songs if you want.”

“Or we can go dance on the second floor,” Harry said, “I called and asked what they all had to offer and apparently they have a dance floor on the second floor of this building for just like a club scene just a bit classier.”

“We can dance,” I said smiling lightly as Harry wrapped his arm my shoulders and pulled me closer to him.

“Oh my god it’s Harry Styles!” I heard a girl a few people in front of us exclaim.

Harry’s head snapped up and he looked at me apologetically and I smiled and shook my head showing him I didn’t mind.

“Can we have a picture?” the girl asked and Harry smiled lightly.

“Of course,” I replied for him, “Do you want me to take the picture?”

“Actually,” the girl blushed slightly, “We want you in there too. We think you and Harry make the cutest couple ever!”

It was then my turn to blush because that was the first time someone had actually said they approved of us dating. I mean we had a lot of support from a lot of the Directioners but there was also a lot of hate and it was nice actually hearing something positive about me and Harry being together. I then tapped the guy in front of us and asked him politely to take our picture. The guy obliged and the girls stood each one on the end while Harry and I stood in the middle.

“Thank you so much,” they said grinning, “You just made our entire night.”

“No problem girls,” Harry smiled, “I know you made our entire night by saying you support us.”

The girls just grinned widely as I shook my head in agreement.

“Well there are lot of support out there for you two,” the girl said and they stood in line with us as we waited to get seated, “And those who don’t support you two aren’t true fans.”

That made me smile and I personally thanked them.

“Thank you,” I said, “It truly means a lot that fans actually support us, because I know if no one liked me dating Harry I know we’d still be just friends because of his fan base.”

“Well don’t listen to the haters,” the girl who asked for the picture said, “They’re just twats.”

We all laughed and soon our name was called. We said goodbye to the girls and followed our hostess to a table out on the balcony.

“You went all out Mr. Styles,” I giggled as he pulled out my chair and then took his seat.

“Like I said only the best for my girl,” he smiled at me.

Our waiter came over to us and introduced himself.

“Hello I’m Jeremy and I will be your waiter this evening,” he said, “What can I get you two to drink.”

“I’ll have Guinness,” Harry said and the boy wrote down his drink.

“And for the pretty lady,” the waiter said and I looked up slightly to see Harry frowning and the waiter smiling at me.

“I’ll just have a glass of your house red wine,” I replied and he nodded and smiled at me.

“I’ll go grab that and let you two look over the menu,” he said and then went to get our drinks.

“He’s flirting with you,” Harry frowned and I laughed at him and shook my head.

“Is my Hazza jealous?” I asked and he just pouted and I laughed more.

“Do you want to split something or do we want to get different things and pick off each other’s plates like we normally do?” he asked changing the subject and I smiled.

“It’s up to you love,” I replied, “I don’t care.”

“How about we pick off of each other’s plates,” he said, “because I know you’re going to want to get some type of finger food.”

I then laughed because Harry knew me to well. Soon our waiter came back over with our drinks and we ordered.

“I’ll have the steak with loaded mashed potatoes and carrots,” Harry ordered and got everything he needed and I ordered the grilled chicken with asparagus and white cheddar mashed potatoes.

The waiter then left and we heard someone announce they were going to start the karaoke. Harry groaned and I just laughed at him.

“Oh don’t be all grumpy,” I said, “Enjoy tonight!”

Harry just laughed at my goofiness and shook his head. We then had some small talk going on because we hadn’t seen each other much of this week due to the fact he had a lot of things for the band while I was swamped with making sure everything was perfect for the wedding happening in two weeks.

“You nervous for the wedding?” he asked as our food came.

“You have no idea,” I said, “I think planning family weddings are the worst. They’re more stressful then other people’s weddings.”

Harry just laughed and I stuck my tongue out at him.

“How was the interview today?” I asked.

“Not too bad,” he said, “They asked a lot questions about us.”

“And what did you tell them?” I asked curious.

“That you were the worst girlfriend ever and I was going to breakup with you tonight,” he said smiling, “That was the surprise.”

I pretended to be fake hurt and I started crying.

“How could you,” I said and I started laughing because I couldn’t be dramatic and Harry joined in.

“On a serious note I told them that you were the best girlfriend ever and that we were happily together,” he said and I just laughed as I stole a piece of steak.

“Good,” I said, “I would’ve kicked you if you said otherwise.”

Harry just laughed and we continued to talk and ignore the horrible karaoke singing going on. When we were done, Harry paid for our dinner and we ventured up the stairs and to the dance floor. When we got to the second floor, I wasn’t shocked that the dance floor was huge. It was packed with people and there were two bars, one on each side of the room.

“This place is packed,” I said in Harry’s ear.

“Do you want to stay and dance?” he asked in my ear.

“For a little bit,” I said, “Come on let’s live while we’re young!”

Harry laughed at my lyric reference one of his songs and we went to the dance floor. Harry spun me around and pulled me close to his body as we danced to the beat of the music. When Passion Pit came on, Harry spun me around and grinned down at me. He knew I loved Passion Pit and we danced along to the music. I was singing at the top of my lungs and Harry was just laughing at me. We dance for what felt like hours and soon Harry and I were walking over to the bar.

“Do you want to go?” Harry asked in my ear.

“Do you want to go?” I asked, “I don’t care really.”

“I have one more surprise for you,” he said and then started pulling me down the stairs, “It’s your present.”
