“Mind helping me clean this up, babe?” I ask as I grab onto Sidney’s arm and wince a bit as I crack a small smile.

She jumps a bit when I reach for her arm and that makes me smile and wince at the pain. That fucker sure hit me good but I wasn’t the one passed out on the floor. Sidney gives me a slight nod of her head and gently grabs hold of my arm, soon pulling me toward the kitchen, just like a few nights ago when this happened. This, tonight, will hopefully be the last time, because I never plan on returning here again, except for things pertaining to Sidney, of course. She is the sole purpose I’m here now.

“Sit,” she instructs when I reach the bar stool in the kitchen. I nod and take a seat on the stool while she, yet again, goes over to grab some ice for my lip. As she saunters over to the cabinet, I can’t help but smile as I get a good view of her body. Her hips swayed a bit as she walked and came to a stop when she reached the freezer.

Before too long, she comes back with an ice pack along with a semi-wet paper towel. I smile a bit as she takes the seat in the stool beside me. I begin to reach for the ice pack so I could hold it against my head that was pounding from that bastard punching me in the face, close to my eye again.

“I got it,” she shakes her head and brings it up to my eye. I wince at the coolness and smile a bit as I look over to meet her blue eyes staring back at my green ones.

“You didn’t have to, Sid, I’m pretty capable of doin’ it myself,” I say as I bring my hand to hers and run my numb fingertips over hers and latch onto her arm that was holding the ice pack to my eye.

“Oh…okay,” she says before she starts to move her wrist until I stop her. As I grab her wrist, she shivers under my touch and I smile a bit.

“Y-you’re beautiful, Sidney, so fucking gorgeous,” I whisper as I look at her.

She smiles and shifts her gaze away from mine. I notice her move her hands up to cover her face and take in a slow breath, the ice pack falling to the floor loudly. Shit, whatever. I could care less about that right now; all I care about is her. Is she crying? I hope to god she wasn’t about to. I feel her shift a bit at my touch and I hear a slight sob leave her lips. Damn, I was really hoping this wouldn’t happen.

“Hey…” I say softly as I look at her. She slowly lifts her head so she was looking at me, her usually bright blue eyes a slight red color. Her cheeks were a light pink shade and I could see tear stains on her cheeks.

“It’s okay, Sid, I promise, he can’t hurt you anymore,” I whisper and slowly move my bruised and slightly bleeding hands up to her face and run my fingertips over her soft skin. “I won’t let him,” I whisper as I lean forward and smile a bit.

“I’ll keep you safe, I know I can, babe,” I tell her, a small smile on my face as I look at her. I notice she smiles a bit as I lean forward and stop inches from her lips. “Be mine, love?” I question in a soft tone and take in a slow breath as I await her reply.

Just as I am about to pull away from her, I feel her lips against mine. I smile wide as I begin to kiss her back and move my arms around her waist before pulling her body against mine. She moves her arms around my neck as our lips move against each others before pulling away slowly, her lips inches away from mine. “Y-yes Harry, if you’ll be mine in return,” she mutters, a small smile on her lips.

I chuckle a bit and nod my head slightly before I rest my forehead against hers.

“How’s your eye?” she asks as she looks at me before she reaches down to pick up the ice pack from the floor. I smile a bit as she brings it up to my eye and I wince at the coolness.

“A bit sore but fine…” I trail off and wrap one of my free arms around her waist and pull her into me. Sid smiles a bit as she looks up at me through her thick lashes. I smile and lean up to press my lips against hers in a kiss. She smiles into the kiss and begins to kiss me back before we are interrupted by a gasp.

“Oh my god, s-sorry, didn’t m-mean to interrupt…” a girl’s voice exclaims. Sidney and I pull away and look over toward the doorway, my arm hanging a bit lazily on her side, to see a blond girl standing there. I recognize her as one of Sid’s good friends, the one I saw her with that one day when I spotted her in my car.

“Hey Kenny! It’s uh…” Sidney trails off and looks over at me, “its fine,” she replies with a small smile as she turns back to her friend.

“What…uh, what’s going on in here?” she questions, looking at me for a second or two before shifting her eyes to Sidney’s.

“We were just…” Sidney trails off and glances over at me.

“What happened to your face?” she asks as she looks at me and Sidney. I scrunch my brows together as I look at her, curious to know who she was asking but I don’t say anything.

“What–who do you think, Ken?” Sidney replies in a gruff tone.

“He did that to you?! Where is that bastard anyway? Wanna give him a piece of my mind!” she replies in a rushed manner, irritation in her eyes. I give her a firm nod in response and shrug my shoulders. I didn’t really care where he was to be frank.

“What was going on when I walked in here? Know what, never mind, I don’t want to know! Besides that, are you two, like, together now?” she asks as she walks over to the cabinet and pulls out stuff to make coffee. I wrap my arm around Sidney’s waist and pull her into my side again.

“Yeah, we are, Kendall,” she says with a smile.

“You two are mad adorable but just listen, Harry,” her friend, Kendall, says in a firm tone, and looks over at me, “if you break her heart, I’ll kick your ass and it won’t be pretty,” she finishes, eyes still on me. I give her a nod and I turn to look at Sidney. she soon turns and fixes her coffee or whatever she was making.

“She can fight?” I mouth to her and notice her laugh a bit and nod her head.

“Her brother taught her everything he knows; he’s a boxing trainer,” she tells me under her breath and smiles.

“That’s proper ace,” I reply with a smile.

“What are you lot doing today?” Kendall asks as she turns and leans against the counter, steaming cup of coffee in hand.

“Not quite sure yet, Ken. What about you?” Sidney answers and links her fingers together, eyes on the girl in front of us.

“Jake and I may go see a film later,” she replies with a smile.

“All I want is to get the hell out of here,” I mumble to myself and wrap my free arm around her waist before I pull her into me. I notice her smile a bit as she looks at me. My eyes focus in on her lips and I slowly begin to lean forward to kiss her but am soon pulled from my thoughts when her friend begins to speak.

“Sorry to interrupt but I’ll leave you two be, got to get ready, meeting up with Jake soon,” she says and takes a sip of her hot drink before she walks off, cup in hand.

“Bye Kend–” Sidney begins to mutter before I catch her off guard and kiss her. I smile and chuckle a bit as she presses her lips to mine in a soft kiss. She pulls away and shakes her head, a small smile adorning her face.

“That was rude,” she laughs and hits me on the chest lightly.

“Sorry,” I smile.

“Let’s go back to my place, yeah? Want to get out of here. Come stay with me at my place instead of bein’ here with that fucker of an ex boyfriend of yours, what do ya say babe?” I ask with a smile and pull her closer, my arm around her waist.

“Yeah, but let me get some of my things upstairs first,” she says and reaches for my hand. I nod and smile a bit as I lace my fingers with hers as she leads me through the kitchen toward the stairs in the other room. I was more than glad to finally be leaving this place, with her by my side.
