Stay Strong

"Are you excited?" Sarah said to me with such excitement in her voice.

"Not as excited as you are obviously!" I joked.

"Shutup and just get in the car!" She playfully said.

"Whatever!" I said. As I stepped on the car I saw something shaking in a box. I sat down and put on my seatbelt. I was pretty scared considering some weird thing was just shaking in a box.

"Umm what is that?" I asked Sarah when she got in her car.

"It's your present silly!" She said. I stared at it for a couple of seconds in disgust. Was that some rat in there? "Well go on, aren't you gonna open it?" She asked.

"Aww!" I took the box and saw the cutest kitten alive inside! "Oh my gosh! Thank you so much Sarah! I love it!" I said to her.

"No problem!" She laughed.

"Where did you find the kitten?" I asked her.

"There was a pet shop that was giving out kittens for free. As soon as I saw him I knew he was perfect for you!" She told me.

"He's so freaking adorable!" I squealed. "Can we go shopping for him?" I asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Fine!" She said and we took off.

I turned up up the volume on the radio and my favorite song came on. It was Counting Stars by OneRepublic.

"Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep. Dreaming about the things that we could be, but baby, I've been, I've been praying hard, said no more counting dollars we'll be counting stars." I sang. Sarah sang along with me and it was so much fun.

"Do you hear that?" She asked as she turned down the volume.

"No, what is it?" I asked.

"Your kitten meowing along to the song!" She laughed. I listened and I heard it too. it was the cutest thing ever!

5 minutes later we arrived at the pet shop.

"Let's go!" I said to Sarah as I took the cat out of the car.

"You're so impatient!" She joked.

"Yeah,yeah. Just hurry up already!" I yelled at her in excitement. I ran inside the pet shop with my new kitten and was amazed at all the cool stuff they had inside. My jaw dropped.

"Close your mouth, you might catch flies." I turned around to see Sarah standing there.

"About time you got in here! Now, help me look for some fun stuff!" I told her. After 10 minutes I chose the perfect cat bed. I bought a box for kitty litter and some kitty litter. I picked out a few toys and bought some food. I even got him a food and water bowl.

"You're total is 58 dollars and 37 cents." The cashier said. I gave her my credit card to swipe off and then we left.

"I'm hungry." I said.

"Do you want to stop at the drive thru by Burger King? It's only 10 minutes away." Sarah asked.

"Yea I don't mind." I agreed.

When we got to Burger King I ordered a Fish Fillet and Sarah ordered the same. We got some fries and nuggets to share. I ordered a Sprite and she ordered a Coke. When we got them we immediately looked at each other and poured our drinks into another so we had a mix of each.

"I've always wanted to do that like in Drake and Josh!" she squealed.

"Me too!" I laughed.

"Get out loser!" Sarah joked.

"Get your butt up and help me with all this stuff!" I groaned.

"You're a lazy bum aren't ya?" She giggled.

"Yep" I laughed.

After what felt like 10 years of work we finally got everything in my house.

"This cat better be grateful!" Sarah groaned in pain.

"That was heavier than I thought!" I said grabbing a bottle of water and tossing it to Sarah. She thanked me.

"Weren't you supposed to tell me why you left early yesterday?" She asked.

"I'm a bit tired. Why don't we save that for another time." I said as I sat on the couch.

"Yeah, I better get going." She said.

"Bye maniac!" I called out as she left.

"Bye sleepy head!" She said.

I checked the time and it was 3:20. We've been out for a LONG time. I checked my phone and saw I had 23 missed calls. They were all from the same number. It was an unknown number. Woah. 23 missed calls. This must be serious. I called back the number and got greeted with a weird robotic voice.

"Hello Ma'am this call is being recorded." The mysterious robotic voice said. I gulped. I was really scared now. What did I do now?

"Hello. Who is this?" I asked. I heard some screams and some gun shots. The phone then got cut. Who could possibly be calling and what the hell is going on?
