Invisible I

Summary

When 17-year-old Carmella Bratlie wins a contest she never entered, she wins an all-expenses paid trip to London for the summer. She doesn't expect to be any different from her home life to people in London - invisible and a waste of space, just another tourist (except one that's there for three whole months and living in the 3-floor penthouse of a 5-star hotel, of course). So the last thing she expects is to run into One Direction. But what happens when she does?

Ashton is one of Carmella's BFFs, and is definitely the sassy one. She's not afraid to speak her mind and doesn't care what people think of her. Originally from Oklahoma, she has a Southern twang and it makes her seem just that much sassier. She's definitely not as socially awkward as Carmella and is usually friendly - until you get on her nerves.

(Main Character) Carmella has always been invisible to people. Sometimes, it was a good thing. Like when her class would play dodgeball in PE. Other times, it wasn't a good thing. Like when nobody asked her to prom and all her friends had dates. Socially awkward, shy, and sort of a fitness nut, she goes jogging every morning, no matter the what the weather is like. She dreams to become famous one day, and has many talents because of it. But no one knows these talents, because nobody bothered to care.

Carmella's 12-year-old sister. A major girly-girl, she loves to wear pinks and purples, and sparkles. Lots and lots of sparkles. She loves dressing up and wearing makeup (and is surprisingly good at it considering she's only 12), but she hates heels because she can't walk in them. She's energetic, has a ton of friends, outgoing, and is one of the Fab Five in her grade. She's pretty much the polar opposite of her sister, which Carmella finds rather annoying, because Carmen doesn't clean up her crap.

Mika Lorenzo

Mika is another one of Carmella's BFFs. Mika is the sneaky one, and she knows her stuff. She can lie like there's no tomorrow, and she usually gets away with everything. She's the group's tomboy, which is sort of ironic, because she's a model. She's tried to convince Carmella and Ashton to model with her, but they refuse to. Mika is the picture-perfect daughter, friendly toward her little sister, straight-A student, and every parent's dream child. With a twist.

Nicole Meyer

Nicole is Carmella's other friend, and is the girly-girl of the group. She loves to go shopping, is envious of Mika's job, and knows absolutely everything about One Direction. She's their biggest fan - literally. She's 6'11" and loves to wear heels. She doesn't need to be any taller, but, you know, it's a girl thing.

Shelby Lorenzo

Mika's little sister who also happens to be a model. She's a serious Directioner and has been to three of their concerts, although she's not very vocal about it. She strives to be perfect like her older sister, but falls short in everything. She loves being with Carmella because she can talk about anything without being judged. Homework, rumors, family life, everything. Absolutely everything.

Carmella's best guy friend and next-door neighbor. He knows things about Carmella that none of her girl friends know, and has always secretly had a crush on Carmella. He's done things for her that she didn't even know he did, like leave a rose and a box of chocolates on her windowsill on Valentine's Day, and beat up a kid for saying that Carmella was weird. He's always been a loyal friend and is afraid of losing her, because he doesn't have many other friends, although he was quite popular among the girls in school before graduation. He always stops what he's doing to talk to Carmella, and is the kind of friend that you can always count on to cheer you up.
