*Savannah's POV*
*Flashback*
"Sav, look at me" Liam said as he looked me in the eyes "It's only for a little while, and I'll call you and we can skype every day" he adds as I let a tear slip down my cheek. His expression softens "Promise...?" I ask softly doing everything I can not to break down now. He wipes my tear with his thumb and wraps me in a tight hug "I swear. It's not goodbye, it's just a see you later okay? I know it sucks, but it's only temporary." he reminds me "And as soon as I get home we can do whatever you want, watch those stupid chick flicks of yours, or play some video games, anything." Even though he calls them stupid, I know that deep down he enjoys watching chick flicks with me, he just wont admit it. I look at him and manage a small fake smile, I know he knows it's fake but hey, it's a start; after all, my bestfriend is going on tour for a year. No matter how sad I was to see Liam go, I was beyond excited for him. His dream had come true, he was getting his big break. I nod my head and bury my head in his shoulder "Ima miss you" I say as another tear slips "I'll miss you to Sav" he says and kisses my head. His parents come and tell him it's time to leave, and with that they packed up the car and he was off to the airport.
*Back to reality*
That was two and a half years ago, a lot has changed since then. Liam has come home for holidays and when he is on breaks from tour, and when he does its just like old times. But it has been a year since he was home last and I miss him like crazy. Sure we talk on the phone and skype and all that, but those calls have become few and far between. We talked last week but he said he isn't sure when he will be coming home next. This sucks, I hate not seeing him, even though I am beyond proud of him and couldn't be happier for him things get tough without him.
I am on my way to Liam's house now, they are making a movie about the boys and appearntly they want me to do an interview for it. Of course I agreed, how could I say no? Plus I get to spend some time with Liam's family, who are basically my family as well; ever since I graduated high school and got my own place I don't see them very often. I pull up into the driveway and see Liam's parents talking out on the front porch, I also notice a gray jeep in the driveway, it reminds me of Liam a bit, he always talked about wanting a jeep. As I get out of the car his parents come running up to me "Savannah sweetie! How are you?" his mother asks as she engulfs me in a hug "Hey mum" I say with a smile and then turn to his dad "There's our other daughter" he says and hugs me as well "We've missed you" he says. I smile "I've missed y'all bunches, it feels like it has been ages" I say, we talk for a bit before walking inside. As we walk in to the foyer I hear people talking and some shhhh's before it goes silent, I guess that's just the camera men or something. "Would you like anything to drink? I made chocolate chip cookies, I know they're your favourite" his mom says with a smile and we go into their large kitchen.
I get a glass of milk and a small plate of cookies and spend some time catching up with his parents and talking to them about different stories of Liam and I as kids. His mom reminds me of how when we were kids we used to always have sleepovers, we would build forts with pillows and blankets and sleep in those pretending to be the king and queen of the world. But after we were about 11 our parents put a stop to them as we were both entering the early stages of puberty. Liam and I were literally attached at the hip as kids, we did everything together and told each other everything. I miss being that close with Liam, so much has changed in the past two and a half years and I worry that he may just forget about me one day.
After I finish my cookies and clean off my plate (even though mom protests) we start to make our way into the living room. I am laughing at something dad says as I turn and see an all to firmilliar figure sitting on the couch. .....No.....it can't be.....there is no way.
