Niall's Pov:
"Turn right." I am so done with this machine! "There is no fucking right!" Louis yelled. We had made a wrong turn about 10 minutes ago and got separated from the other two cars. Now, the GPS in the rental car told us for the millionth time to make a right when there was no right make. We had called Paul, but he didn't understand where we said we were. "Niall! just call Lu, she actually lives here and can tell us where to go." El said turning to me from the passenger seat. I nodded my head and took out my phone. Kat still hadn't called me back after I tried calling her twice. I hadn't even thought that Lu also lived here and would know where to go. After 3 rings I was almost certain she wasn't going to pick up.
"Hello?" Her voice is nice even through the phone. "Hello? Niall, you there?" Oh right! "Umm.. Hey Lu! Sorry to bother you but We kind of got lost." Oh my god, we sound pathetic. Who gets lost when they have a GPS? "Oh! it's fine. Where are you?" I looked at the surroundings and there was like nothing except an old sign. "There isn't much except a sign that says 'Misty Point' and a road going left." "You are in the general area. Just take that left and you'll be back on 'Mulholland Dr' then make a left onto 'Pyramid Pl' There is a small road to the right. Follow it all the way in and I'll let the guard know you'll be here in about 5 minutes." I told Louis the directions and he turned the car back on. "Thanks Lu. I'll see you in a bit." "It's no problem. I have to help core finish setting up." I put my phone away after hanging up and soon after El's phone rang. The other two cars were at the gates and Dani was calling to see if we still needed help so they could ask the guard. We pulled onto the small road and FINALLY, reached the other two cars at the gate.
The guard let us in and we were met with many cars. There was a classic 1966 Ford Mustang,
what I assume is a hybrid car,
a jeep Rubicon.
a Mercedes Prior,
an infinity,
two BMWs,
and a mini van.
We pulled up and everyone piled out of the cars. "I thought this was going to be small family barbeque." Jesy said sounding confused. We all nodded our heads. Harry just shrugged and we all followed him up the steps of the large house.
Louis rang the doorbell and a minute later the door opened. I guess everyone was expecting one of the girls to answer, so we were surprised when a woman in her, 30s?, answered the door. She wore a warm smile as she greeted us. "You must be the girl's friends! I'm Kat's mom. Please, come in. The girls are in the back, we'll be out in a moment." She greeted us all with a kiss on the check and a hug then excused herself after pointing us in the direction of the outside. All eleven of us made our way through the screen door.
As we stepped outside, we were met with laughs. We could barely make out what seemed like someone on the floor being licked by two golden retrievers and a smaller dog. The other sets of laughs was coming from three girls with their backs to us. Core, Sky, and Lu. We all laughed at the scene and the three girls turned to us. Core and Lu looked surprised and Lu smiled at us. Lu got up and the other two girls followed. "Hey!" Lu gave us all a hug, myself last. "Guys, this is Core and Sky. Girls, you already know who they are." Lu said chuckling at the end. Core blushed and Sky gave us a big smile.
"It's great to meet you all." Core nodded in agreement with Sky's statement. There was a mixture of replies from us. 'likewise' 'it's great to meet you too' 'it's a pleasure' 'I love your music' I'm pretty sure that last one was El. She loves their music. Kat's laugh was heard again, accompanied by her squeals, as she got up running away from the dogs as they followed her. "Should we help her?" Spoke Harry from the other side, worry present in his tone as he looked at Kat. "Nah, she's fine. They just missed each other." Core said. We all walked over to where the pool was. The girls all sat on the edge, dipping their legs in, as the lads and I sat on the lawn chairs. "You can go in if you want. Lunch won't be for another hour or so." Sky said. I was surprisingly not hungry or bothered by the time for food. Louis didn't need further motivation and was already yanking off his clothes. He walked to the end of the patio floor and took a running start and cannonballing into the pool. He resurfaced and hollered. "Woo!" the girls were laughing because Liam got drenched by Louis' splash.
I took off my jeans and shirt and as I was about to jump. Harry tackled me into the pool. Zayn joined us and we began to try to splash the girls. "C'mon! join us!!" Louis yelled at Eleanor. She looked over at Dani, then the other girls. "WOOO!!" we yelled as the girls began to take off their clothes revealing their bathing suits. The girls all held hands and jumped in together. We began to play Marco Polo. "Marco!" I yelled. "Polo!" Everyone yelled. I however, could distinctly make out Lu's voice and followed it.
"KAT!!!" We all turned to the screen door where a tall bloke, in his 20s, stood. Kat immediately looked at the bloke and the biggest smile took over her face. I glanced over at Harry and his posture was tense and confused. Kat took off running and jumped on the lad. She buried her head in his neck as they hugged tight. It seemed like such an intimate moment that I felt like I was intruding by looking. I looked away and turned attention to the others in the pool. Harry held a small pout and the rest of us looked confused. I thought she was single.. Lu, Core, and Sky wore smiles as they looked at Kat and the bloke.
Harry looked down at the water and avoided everyone's eyes. When I looked over, Kat was pulling him inside the house by the hand and they were both smiling and laughing. he dogs ran past barking and followed into the house. "Aww! She missed him so much." Core said to Lu and Sky, who both nodded. We heard the screen door open and Kat looked around. She looked over at us and a smile once again graced her face. She turned her head and said something, then came out pulling the lad along. They walked over to us and Kat was practically bouncing on her feet as she stopped at the edge. Was she running in those shoes the whole time?
