Kate's POV
School is starting tomorrow and I just can't wait to go with my two sisters. Yay! Notice my sarcasm. I'm adopted so their not my blood sisters. My older sister is Melissa and my other sister is as old as me and her name is Carly. No one enjoys my presence except for my ''mom''. My "dad" and "sisters" absolutely hate me for no reason. Right now I'm trying to figure out what i should wear for tomorrow. I want to at least try to fit in with the rest of the seniors. I'm graduation this year. I can finally leave this hell hole.
"Kate, dinner is ready" said Melissa and Carly yelled in their squeaky voices. I hate them so much.
"Coming" I replied politely. I do not want to get on their bad side at dinner. I ran downstairs and helped my mom set up the dinner table as my sisters and dad walked in and sat down.
"Are you ready for school?" dad asked Melissa and Carly. I just kept my head down and continued eating my dinner.
"Yes, I'm so excited for school" Carly said in her high pitched voice.
"That's good" mom said. "What about you Kate?"
"Well I-" I started speaking but Melissa cut me off.
"Mom, she doesn't need to be ready for school. She's a nobody there" Melissa said. I suddenly lost my appetite and tears formed my eyes but I quickly blinked them away.
"Excuse me" I said getting up and put away my dishes. I left the kitchen as fast as I could. My mom was giving a death glare to Melissa but she just laughed. I went to my room and locked the door behind me. I ran over to the bathroom and shut the door. I opened the draw under the sink which contained a razor in it. Finally! All I want to feel is pain. I put the razor to my wrist. I noticed my last cuts were still noticeable.
Cut.
"That's for being ugly."
Cut.
"This is for being a nobody"
Cut. Cut.
"This is because no one wants you in their lives.'
Cut. Cut. Cut.
Soon, lots of blood was pouring from my left wrist. I cleaned up the blood and walked back to my room. I turned off the lights and made sure the door was locked. I walked towards window and opened it up. I climbed out and walked towards the street. I needed some fresh air and this is the only way I can get it. I walked as fast as my feet could carry me away from that house. I put my head down and started crying.
Harry's POV
I woke up and noticed I was in Julie's room. I checked the time on my phone. 10:30 p.m. Oh shit! My mom is going to kill me since I'm late. I jumped off the bed and put on my clothes. I heard the bed move and Julie woke up.
"Babe where are you going?" she asked me getting up and wrapped the duvet around her body.
"I got to go. I'll see you tomorrow." She nodded and I ran out of the house. I ran towards the street and seconds later I hit into someone. We both fell to the floor. I got up and dusted myself. I looked up and noticed I hit into a girl. She was beautiful. She moved her bangs out of her face and I saw her beautiful hazel brown eyes. She was crying because her eyes were puffy and red.
"I'm so sorry! Did I hurt you?" I asked her concerned.
"I'm fine" she said looking at me and dusting herself. She ran towards the direction she came from. I continued running until I reached my house. I quietly opened the door and slowly tip-toed towards my room. I made it halfway, when the hallway lights turned on and my mom was stading there with her arms across her chest.
"Hi mom!" I said trying to avoid eye contact with her.
"Harold Edward Styles where were you?" she asked. Ugh. I hate it when she used my full name.
" I was with Julie."
"Harry you start school tomorrow. Your going to graduate this year and I don't want you to ruin this. I'm not going to making your decisions anymore, but you need to be mature. Your only hurting yourself Harry." She walked away to her room and shut the door behind. I went to my room and got ready for bed. I got in bed and pulled the duvet over my body. I thought about what my mom had said to me. Everything she said was true. I'm only hurting myself. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
Kate's POV
I was walking to fast and didn't look up at all. Seconds later, I hit into someone and we both hit the floor. We both got up as I moved my bangs away from my eyes. I looked up and saw it was a boy. He had brown curls and beautiful green emerald eyes.
"I'm so sorry! Did I hurt you?" he asked probably because I was crying.
"I'm fine" I said dusting myself off. After cleaning myself, I ran back home. I snuck back in through the window in my room, and got ready for bed. I got in bed and pulled the duvet over my body. I looked at my wrists in disgust.
"I can't let anyone see these" I said to myself looking at the freshly made cuts. I cried to myself and slowly fell asleep.
