Lonely Hearts Club

Dear Darlin'

It had been nearly a week since the pair had last locked eyes. A week since since Harry came barging into her flat. A week since Sophie-Mae almost pushed him out the door. She had been determined to not fall into his trap a second time, but she was now regretting it.
It seemed Harry had dissapeared off the face of the earth. He didn't attend any lectures, but what Sophie-Mae found most strange Harry's face was yet to grace one magazine cover with his face all week. No one knew where he was, and something in the pit of her stomach was telling her something wasn't right, that it wasn't him being busy that was stopping him from coming to one lecture.
Sophie-Mae eventually decided to try and block any memory of Harry out of her mind, seen as she barely knew him, she thought it would be easy, boy could she be more wrong.
A large part of her was constantly worrying about him, worried that he was laying dead in some dark allyway alone, or drinking his life away. The people around him didn't seem to care about what he was doing to himself, or if they did they had a funny way of showing it. This worried Sophie-Mae even more.

She spent most of the time in the lecture hall, just staring at the empty seat beside her. Before Harry made his appearance Sophie-Mae would be very used to sitting alone, she didn't mind it either. But now she was bored, even the smallest of gestures from Harry would either keep her entertained, or thinking for the rest of the lecture. Now she had nothing to occupy her brain.
She half hoped that he would walk in to the lecture room with a smile on his face and everything would be fine. But he never did. Why he was doing this, she didn't know exactly. But she had a rough idea...

****

She sat on the wide window ledge which allowed her to sit comfortably as she listened to the heavy drops of english rain hit the glass window. It was so heavy she could barely see outside, it was now all just a bit blur. But something caught her attention, even in the blur of the storm. She could never forget those curls, even when the were limp, lifeless, and soaking wet.

Before she knew it that familiar impatient knocking began sounding through the flat. ''Who the hell is that?!'' Sasha said rubbing her eyes, obviously trying to have an early night.
''Just go back to bed Sash.''
Usually she would disobey and stay but she could almost sense my need to do this alone...plus she was shattered and couldn't be bothered to spark up a row.

She slowly opened the door but only enough so she could see who it was. Not even Cara Delevigne could fit through that gap. But Harry was stronger than she anticipated and he swung open the door leaving Sophie-Mae gobsmacked as she stared at his angry exception, not daring to say a word. At this moment in time, he scared her.
''Care to explain.'' He shoved multiple pieces of scrunched up paper into my chest, all sharing the same piece of information. Failed internet searches.
'Tom Channing. No results found.'
'Thomas Channing. No results found'

Endless pages all with slightly different versions of the name 'Tom.'
''How do you know my last name?'' She said confused.
''That's not important.'' He dismissed her question. ''The important part is why is there no evidence of your brother even existing.''
''I-I-I uh.'' She continued to stutter only for Harry's expression to grow more impatient, and more angry.

She knew she would have to tell him the truth. This would be the first time her family's dark secret would ever leave the walls of her family home.

@Unexpected oh no I haven't finished it yet! I'm always sure to tell you guys when I finish a story,I had planned to finish it in the summer but I want to end it well and I think this is my favourite story that I've written so I didn't want to rush it and end up ruining it. Realistically I think it will be finished by early in the new year as there is still a lot I want to happen:)
