"Kylie was right, you know." Harry brushes Sophie's curly platinum hair from her face and smiles at her. "We make pretty cute babies."

"We'll find out in a few months for sure." My due date is February 14, which is only a few months away. I'm a little into my third trimester now, and the doctor said I was okay to travel but it was definitely pushing the boundaries a little. Harry switches his smile to me and leans his head back against his seat.

"What?" The baby starts kicking and I squirm a little in my seat. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

He shrugs. "I think I'm allowed."

"Do you."

"Yeah. Something about being engaged, I don't know."

He winks and looks out the window again. That would be a really great thing to go crazy over and giggle and ogle the giant diamond on my hand, but the damn baby keeps kicking and it's really uncomfortable. I've gotten way bigger this time and I'm never comfortable. Ever.

When Harry and I got back to the villa after he proposed everyone started freaking out. Anne was crying, everyone was crying and hugging and it was a big emotional mess. A good mess, though. Definitely good. That was when I finally took a look at the ring Harry gave me and I absolutely love it. I don't know how he knew what I wanted, but it's so perfect. It's a rectangular cut diamond with a halo and a thin band studded with diamonds. I'm surprised it doesn't weigh me down at all.

Sophie wakes up as the plane hits the ground and immediately tries to crawl into Harry's lap. He has to end up being quite firm to get her to stay in her own seat, but she listens with her bottom lips sticking out a little bit, her little hands tightly holding Harry's large one in her lap. She leans her head against his arm and almost falls asleep again while we pull up to the gate and wait for the go-ahead to get off the plane. My back aches and my feet ache and my neck is sore and I want this baby out of me.

"Alright, girls." Harry holds Sophie in one hand, our carry-on over his shoulder and my hand in his free one. "Let's get home."

Except it definitely isn't that easy. Getting our luggage takes forever and Sophie is too exhausted to function, so she ends up crying and complaining for most of the time. When we get into Harry's car she's asleep instantly and when I sit down I feel like I could sleep for a year.

"Tired?" Harry pulls onto the road and slides his hand over my thigh, lightly squeezing my knee.

"Yeah." I take a deep breath and place my hand over his. Before I can even ask how tired he is I'm already asleep.

Harry's POV

It's weird how something so normal can make you so happy. Driving in the car with Sophie and Savannah, both asleep, with Savannah's hand resting on mine makes me feel so incredibly happy. It's a content kind of happy, a peaceful kind that everyone should get the chance to experience. It's incredible.

Being engaged is also incredible. I don't think I could even begin to explain how I felt when she said yes. I was expecting to be completely terrified when I proposed but...I wasn't. It was like this, one of the calmest feelings I've had in my whole life. If I can be certain of anything, it's that my future is this, right here in this car. This is all I could ever need.

When I pull into the parking garage at our apartment building Savannah sighs. Her head tips forward and then she jolts awake, groggy eyes turning towards me.

"We're home," I tell her quietly. She half smiles and closes her eyes again. "Can you make it upstairs?"

"Debatable," she mumbles. She slowly pushes her door open and I climb out and around to Sophie's door. Savannah is already there and unbuckling her, but she steps to the side to let me take her out of the seat.

"Leave those," I tell her as she walks towards the back of the car. "I'll get them in the morning."

Savannah smiles and places her hand on my back while we walk towards our place. Sophie is still sound asleep, which is a lot easier than having her awake and miserable. As soon as we step into the lobby the doorman grins widely, wrapping Savannah in a tight hug.

"My favourite little family," he says. "How are you feeling, Miss Williams? You're absolutely glowing."

"Thanks, Henry. We actually have some news but you can't tell my mother when she comes, okay?" He nods and Savannah holds out her hand. He eyes the rings and smiles widely, hugging her agains and clapping me on the back.

"Congratulations!" The smile on my face is undeniable and Savannah leans hear head against my arm. "It's about time, if you ask me."

"Henry!" Savannah shakes her head and laughs a little. "Not you too."

"Get that little one up to bed."

When we get into the elevator we both lean against the railing along the wall. Savannah hooks her arms around mine and leans her head against my arm again. Sophie squirms around a bit and rubs her hands over her eyes, her forehead pressed against my neck. After I rub my hand over her back a few times she settles back in.

"We should get a bigger place," Savannah suggests.

"You think? We have three bedrooms, that's enough."

"Yeah, but...it'd be nice to have a backyard. And a quiet street where we can teach our kids to ride a bike."

"Yeah," I agree. "That would be nice."

"Maybe we should move back to California."

"I don't want to have this conversation when you're half asleep." She smiles and I laugh a little. "Plus, you get pretty dramatic with these hormones."

"Watch it."

The doors slide open and we make our way down the hall and every day I seem to notice her baby belly more and more. I can't wait to have this baby. Having Sophie is the best thing that ever happened to me, tied with anything related to Savannah, and I can only imagine what it's going to be like to have another baby. Plus, who doesn't love babies? Sophie is getting older now and she's not really a baby, so it's going to be fun to go through all that again.

"Holy shit," Savannah says. Everything in my body tenses and I take a step in front of Savannah, manoeuvring Sophie down and into her arms instead. Our front door is open.

"Stay here," I tell her. "Okay?"

"Harry-"

"Stay here," I say firmly. She nods. "I'm serious. Don't wait til I'm inside and then come in after me."

She rolls her eyes. "I wouldn't do that." I raise my eyebrows. "Okay fine. I'll stay here."

"Okay." I kiss her forehead and turn towards the door, walking over and slowly pushing the door open further. There's no noise in the apartment so I flick the lights on, my jaw tensing at the sight in front of me. This is not fucking real. No fucking way.

"Stay there," I tell Savannah again. She nods and tries to soothe Sophie and I shut the door completely, turning to direct my anger to the fucking worthless piece of shit on my couch. When the door slams shut he jolts awake and seconds later I have his shirt in my hands and I'm dragging him to his feet.

"Harry?"

"Shut up!" I shove my father across the room and point a finger at him. "What the fuck are you doing?

"I was-"

"Don't!" I shove at him again. "What the fuck are you doing in my home? You realize this is my fucking home, right?"

"I know! Before you hit me-"

"You'll be lucky if that's all I do."

"I had no where else to go!" he shouts. "I didn't want to come here, but if I hadn't then I wouldn't be alive right now."

"That's not my fucking problem. Whatever shit you got yourself in is not my problem, and it sure as hell is not my family's problem."

"But I-"

"And why was the front door open?" I shout. "Are you fucking stupid? Did you want our neighbours to call the cops on you? There's no limit to your stupidity, I don't fucking understand."

"I need help," he says quietly. For the first time in my entire life I see actual fear and sadness in his eyes. I think, anyway. It's hard to tell. "I don't want to die."

"You realize that's probably what you deserve, right?" I tell him quietly. He nods after a moment and I sigh. "Fuck."

"I'll leave if that's what you want."

"Shut up." I head for the door and slide through it. "Stay there."

"Who is it?"

"Shit!" I jump and spin around to find Savannah standing directly behind me. "Of course you're right here."

"Someone's in there?" she asks. "Who is it?"

"Fucking Des." She makes a face. "My father. He's...I think he's been living here."

"What?"

"I'm so sorry, Savannah. Fuck, this isn't what I-"

"Harry, stop." She puts her free hand against my cheek and shakes her head. "This is not your fault. I'm not mad."

"You're not? I am."

"He's desperate," Savannah says. "I know you hate him, Harry. I'm not telling you to help him, this is completely your decision. But if you want to...we do have an apartment that we aren't using."

She smiles small and swipers her thumb across my cheek before letting her hand fall to support Sophie. I don't want to fucking help him. He doesn't deserve anything from us, he's probably still doing drugs. But do I really want him dead? Theoretically, yes. But maybe not in real life. I don't know.

"He pays rent."

"Harry, he doesn't have any money."

I sigh and rub my hands over my face. "I don't know what to do."

"Well...it's late. We're tired." She tries to lift Sophie a little higher. "I know you don't like it, but let him stay for tonight. We'll figure it out tomorrow, okay?"

"Why are you putting up with this?" I ask quietly. She smiles and tilts her head.

"We're getting married. I'm going to be putting up with you for a long time."

One of my hands hook around the back of her head and my lips are on hers while we both smile despite the shitty circumstance behind the door. I feel a small hand against my face and turn towards Sophie, who is scrunching up her nose.

"You're awake," I say.

"Yucky," she says simply. "Daddy, you not do that to Mummy."

Savannah laughs and I take Sophie out of her arms. She wraps her arms around my neck and leans her head against my shoulder again. When I walk inside my father is standing right where I left him, and when he sees the child in my arms his eyes go wide.

"You...you have..." He looks at Savannah, eyes going wide when he sees her belly.

"If you do anything that puts my family in danger, I will make sure it's the last thing you ever do," I tell him. "Understand?"

He nods and Savannah places her hand on my back, ushering me towards Sophie's room. I'm really not a violent person, I'm not. But when my father is around it's a whole other story and I turn into this angry, violent, unpleasant person and I hate that. Your family is supposed to make you better, right? This isn't better.

Savannah's POV

I watch Harry disappear into Sophie's bedroom, then turn to look at my future father-in-law. He seems...sad. Maybe seeing both of his children with families of their own makes him realize how much he screwed up and how much he's missing because of it.

"You've been sleeping on the couch?" I ask, pulling his attention back to me. He nods. "You can stay sleeping there, then."

"You...I can stay?" he asks quietly.

"Tonight, yes. After that it's Harry's call. If he wants you gone then you're on your own."

"Thank you."

"Please don't make me regret this." I place a hand on my stomach and the other on my back to try to work out some of the pressure. "Harry doesn't deserve to be hurting anymore. He's happy. If you ruin that I'll be the one threatening you instead of him."

He smiles slightly and nods. "Good to know my son's found a girl that can take care of her own."

"If you use drugs in my house around my child, I swear to-"

"I'm not," he says immediately, holding up his hands. "I swear, I'm not using. I'm clean, but there's some people that...well, let's just say even after a few years in jail they're not very forgiving."

"We can talk about it tomorrow." I head for the hallway to redirect Harry from getting any more upset by this. He's still in Sophie's room, whispering softly to her and smoothing his fingers over her hair. Anyone could see from that look in her eyes that she absolutely adores him. He's her hero and to be honest, he's mine too.

After a moment he kisses her forehead and stands up, turning towards me. He pulls the door shut and takes my hand, glaring at his father before leading me to our bedroom. The worry lines on his forehead don't disappear while we're getting ready for bed, and when I crawl in and wait for him he sits on the edge with his head in his hands.

"Harry," I coo.

"I don't like this."

"I know, but-"

"I'm going to go get Sophie." He stands and slides some shorts on over his boxers. "I don't want her anywhere near him."

Before I can argue he's out the door and I sigh, smiling small at how concerned he is. Some people may be annoyed, but I love it. Feeling protected by Harry and knowing he would do anything to keep our family safe is the best feeling in the world.

He comes back with Soph in his arms and lays her in the middle of the bed. She curls up against my arm and is instantly asleep before Harry even gets into bed. He lays on his side and pulls the covers over all three of us.

"I love you," I whisper. He smiles and I feel his feet find mine under the covers. "We're going to figure this out."
