Harmony’s POV
This is it! Graduation Day! I feel accomplished. I graduated near the top of my class, and I finally get to get out of this hellhole. We move our tassels to the other side, and the next minute we throw our hats up.

Drew comes up and congratulates me.

“I can’t believe my baby sis is all grown up. It seems like just yesterday you were running around the house in just your diapers,” he starts to sniffle.

“Shut up you bastard,” I tell him. No need for everyone who doesn’t care about me knowing what I did when I was little.

“Just go empty your locker so we can leave. High school brings back too many ugly memories,” he tells me.

I walk over to return my graduation gown and then head over to my locker. All that’s in there is a few notebooks and some pictures I put up of my mom and dad. I know they must be proud of me.

“Hi,” a girl’s voice says.

I close my locker, and she is standing right there. Is she talking to me? No one ever talks to me. EVER.

“Can I help you?” I ask her.

“I’m Diane. We have science and history. I just wanted to say congratulations to you because I know nobody else would. You don’t talk very much.”

“Oh, thanks. I don’t really have many friends… I should probably be going now. It was really nice meeting you,” I tell her.

I walk away from my locker. That girl was really nice.

To celebrate Drew and his girlfriend are taking me to Pismo. I love the beach, and it’s a great way to start off the summer. I’m going to miss Drew when I take off in a few months. He’s always been there for me.

They rented a beach house for our three-night stay. I’m so ecstatic because that means the beach is just behind us. I’ll be able to walk early along the shore.

I ended up sleeping most of the ride there while Drew and Talia, his girlfriend who is absolutely awesome, talked in the front. Talia and Drew have been going out for a while, and he is so close to proposing to her. We’re like best friends.

As soon as we pull up to the beach house, a guy greets us. He looks kind of nervous though

“Something wrong?” I ask the guy.

“Um… well… yeah. It seems we have accidently double-rented this house. We don’t have anymore available at the moment either so…”

“That’s okay, we can share the house. I mean, look at it, it’s huge!” Talia tells the man. He calms down a little.

“Thank gosh! That is exactly what they said. We are so sorry for this happening. As an apology we are paying for it,” he hands us the key. “Enjoy your stay.”

I have to admit, I am disappointed to have to share the house. I’m not what people call “social” these days. I just hope these people are nice.

We take out our stuff and bring it up to the door. As we get closer, I can hear loud yelling on the other side. This isn’t a good start. I fling the door open and see five extremely hot guys fighting for the TV remote. I just stare at them a little scared of what these next three days will bring.

One of them must have noticed me because they all stopped yelling and looked at me.

“You must be our house buddies!” one shouts. His accent is definitely not American.

“Hello!” they all say. They look at one another and then quickly get out of the awkward positions they were in while fighting for the remote.

“Hi! My name is Drew and this is my girlfriend, Talia, and my sister, Harmony,” Drew tells them. I feel like laughing because he emphasized “girlfriend” when he introduced Talia. I look over at Talia to see what her reaction is, but she looks a bit star struck. I wonder why; it’s not like these guys are celebrities.

“Oh my gosh! You- you’re,” I’m beginning to think that Talia knows these people.

“One Direction?” the kid with blonde hair answers.

“What’s One Direction?” I ask. Talia faints. Is someone going to explain who these people are to me?
