Over Again

"My phone is blowing up," Niall told me as we walked around, trying not to get spotted. "And they're all about you." I looked at him questioning what he said.

"Are you sure you don't want to tell Zayn or your family you're here? I mean, you're in a whole different country, for God's sake."

" I have to take a break, Niall," I said firmly. "From everyone. Including Zayn." He nodded. I looked around the crowded little plot of land, seeing one of my favorite carnival games as a kid.

The ring toss.

Zayn and I would always go to these carnivals, and that game would always be there, waiting for us. We'd bring fifteen or twenty pounds each, but Zayn would usually use my money, and if he actually did get a ring into the bottle, he'd give me the prize every time.

"Niall, I want to play this game!" I pulled- or maybe dragged would be the correct word- him over to booth.

Niall held up a five pound bill. "Ten rings, please," h Essie to the girl. She realized it was Niall, and I could see the panick in her eyes, but then she calmed. She turned and gave Niall his rings.

I watched as Niall got.. One....three...four rings on one bottle. He got two on another one, and got one on another one. He missed the rest.

"Wow, good job," the girl said. "That's six outta ten. You can pick from up here." She pointed to the huge stuffed animals and other things above her head.

"Thanks," Niall said. She nodded, then waited for us to make a decision.

"Ooh! Get that one!" I pointed to a big, black and brown teddy bear. It was so cute. Niall pointed to the stuffy I picked and the girl got it down with some long metal hook thingie.

"Thanks again," Niall said, then handed it to me. I gasped, then squeezed the day lights out of it.

"Thanks Niall! I love love love it!"
