Harry's POV

It was loud. Very, very loud.
And that was just the game. Players pounding their sticks on the boards, smacking them on the ice, and the occasional sporadic burst of music over the speakers. And then some.
Then there's the crowd.
Cheering, shouting, screaming... you get the point. It's almost like one of our concerts.
"Who are we supposed to be watching?" I shouted to Zayn, who was standing next to me.
"I think the players in the white jerseys," he shouted back as cheers rang out from the people around us.
The players had stopped moving and were now on either side of the referee, who had the puck in his hand.
"Do you remember were she said she would be?" I asked. I knew the answer, but Louis was trying to be all secretive about listening in on our conversation, so I had to play dumb.
"Uh... concessions?" Zayn said. "Something about popcorn?"
Weird. I thought. Popcorn makes her nauseous.
I made my way through the fans - the hockey fans, that is - to the stairs that led up to the second floor of the arena, where there was a viewing window to watch the game from.
When I got through the door, the smell of Doritos and taco meat and popcorn hit me. As did the warmth. I looked around, hoping to see Melody, but I couldn't find her.
Just as I turned to go watch the game again, I heard her laugh.
"I suck at basic math," her voice said. "Lemme try this again."
I turned and followed her voice. She was behind the concessions counter, counting change.
"There you go," she said, handing someone the coins. "See you, Tanner!"
The guy - Tanner, apparently - turned around and walked away, carrying a Doritos bag. He flashed an award-winning smile at me, then disappeared behind me.
Melody closed the cash register with her hip, then turned to the popcorn machine and started filling bags.
"I thought you said you were getting popcorn?" I said, leaning against the counter that separated the concessions booth from the viewing area.
"I had to go get kernels from Wal-Mart," she said, closing the machine and flipping switches until the rotor started spinning. She wiped her hands and leaned against the counter like I was.
"You hungry? I hear tacos are your favorite food."
My eyes widened. "You have tacos?"
Her eyes widened in mock imitation of me and nodded. She went back to her normal composure and said, "You want one?"
I nodded and she went to the far wall and cut open a Doritos bag.
"So, where are we, exactly?" I asked.
"Wahpeton."
I snorted. "Very descriptive."
"Okay, fine. The twin cities," she tried, handing me my taco in a bag. "Fixings are over there." She pointed at a red thing that held all sorts of condiments for a taco.
"Yumm," I said, dumping sour cream into the bag.
"And you work concessions here.... why?" I asked, my mouth full of cheesy chips and meat.
"Because I'm awesome like that," she said, sitting on a stool. "And because I'm working with family friends."
I raised one eyebrow and peeked around in the tiny booth. "I don't see anyone."
She laughed. "That's 'cause the buzzer hasn't gone off yet."
"What?" I asked, just as a buzzer went off. Music started playing, and Melody opened the door leading into the booth.
"Get in. Concessions rush," she said urgently, ushering me inside. I was followed by two other lads, one dark-haired and the other light-haired.
Melody closed the door and I sat down in the corner behind it just as people started bunching up in front of the counter.
Melody grinned at me. "Told you," she said. "Concessions rush."

Notes

Okay, so this is obviously a filler. But that Tanner kid is going to be pretty important in the next few chapters. Maybe. I'm still working on it.
Okay, so, for those of you who don't read my fanfic, Revolution, here's some news.
I'm going to collaborate with that fanfic in this one. I'm planning on making a sequel to this one where it will play in a little more, but that'll be a little later.
So anyway, that's it for now, I think. So while you're waiting for me to update again, go read my other fanfics to keep yourself entertained. Or read someone else's. I don't care.
