Melody's POV

"Don't call me that," I said, hugging Carl, one of my mother's many, MANY friends. "Not since last year," I said a little quieter, hoping the boys wouldn't hear.
"We did our best. But sometimes, even that isn't enough," he said quietly.
"I know. I just really miss him, you know?" I said, crying a little.
"I know. We all miss him, Mel."

*~* An Hour Later *~*

I walked into my house and took a deep breath. It felt good to be home, even if the boys were going to stay with us for a day or two. They finally had the decency to tell me why they were even in Fargo in the first place, seeing as the only places in the good ol' US of A they have formally booked for their tour are New York and LA. Their pilot had to make an emergency landing in Hector International Airport to refuel, and they discovered a problem with the engine that would take a few days to fix, and all the commercial flights to LA for the month were booked solid. So they decided that it was better to be a few days late rather than a month or not at all, seeing as they didn't want to cancel their LA concert.
Then they scheduled a concert at the Fargodome.
I tossed aside my skate bag and walked into the kitchen. I looked around for some food for the boys and found carrots for Louis, who had been whining all the way from the hotel to here about not having carrots in the last 12 hours. I dumped them in a bowl and set them on the table next to the cake holder that was currently holding brownies with Oreos baked into them.
"But the look on her face made it all worth it, right?" Harry said, walking through the door.
I walked into the living room and set the brownies and carrots on the coffee table, along with pretzels and chips, just in time to see Harry walk in backwards. He was talking about the surprise mini-concert they put on for a girl whose birthday was today. The boys had walked in as everyone was singing "Happy Birthday" and sang along. The poor girl nearly died, she was so happy.
"Yeah, but Paul didn't like it," Zayn replied.
"Oooh! Brownies!" Niall said from the doorway. He dropped his bags and came running into the living room and hurtled over the coffee table, (missing the tall cake holder by inches) and landed on the couch. He immediately started munching on a brownie. "What's in this?" he asked, staring at the brownie.
"Oreos. And brownie," I replied, sitting down on the other end of the couch. I still wasn't comfortable sitting directly next to any of them, even after 48 hours with them. "Heather made them."
"Mmm..." Niall replied, stuffing another brownie into his mouth.
"-and that's why I need carrots," Louis' loud voice echoed through the hallway to the living room.
"And that's why you're getting carrots, so stop bitching about it, Lou!" I shouted at him. He came hurtling through the hallway like Niall did and launched himself at the couch, nearly landing on me. Thankfully, I move fast. I slid off the couch and flattened myself against the floor. I saw a flash of color and then the ceiling again. I rolled over so I was on my stomach and wiggled my way across the floor until I figured it was safe to stand up.
This was going to be a long day.

Notes

So this isn't the chapter I had earlier (before my computer deleted it) because I made it longer and more detailed than the last so I didn't get in Harry's POV. I'm typing that one as soon as I post this chapter.

HEY. Your official-unofficial announcements sadden me. No promises or not, I really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY hope you decide to eventually continue. I won't even be mad if you do a rewrite but dude, you gotta do something. I WILL DIE IF THIS STORY DOES NOT CONTINUE.

It didn't sound aggressive. I'd be pissed at me, too. I found my charger, but my phone refuses to copy and paste what I've written, which was what my original plan was to do after realizing that it wasn't written in my notebook. I haven't had time to type it all up yet, but I figure that since I have nothing else to do right now (other than watch "Supernatural" and sleep), I should probably update. I've been working on chapter ideas for the sequel, typing them on my phone as they come to me and such, thinking of ways to lead up to them. I'll admit, I suck at it. But I'm working on it! I have a secret partner in crime that's going to help with it. Hopefully.
So I'm gonna quit rambling now and actually go type the chapter.

ThAT WAS FOURTEEN DAYS AGO!!!!!!!!!! Where is your charger? I didn't mean for that to sound aggressive.

To be honest, I already have the name picked out (don't laugh at me if I already said that in the sequel announcement chapter), but that's really good. I might use that for another story I'm working on.
I'm really excited for the sequel because it's going to be kind of like a fresh start, and I have a lot of ideas that I'm super duper excited to use. There's definitely going to be a lot more drama in the sequel and I'm hoping that I might make you guys cry at least once. :)
Your tears bring me great joy.

I seriously cannot wait for the sequel :) And for a name, maybe Don't Believe All You See, but that may be a bit long. Hope you update again soon!!!
