Research Time
“What? No I wasn’t going to say anything. Was I supposed to?” trying to play cool I shrug it off and we get in line for our Japanese food.
“Okay Kee we walked 3 looong rounds, we ate all our food, and I gave you plenty of time to fess up. What is your deal? Do I have to beat it out of you? Wait hold that thought,” Jake get s up to throw our trash away and he gets us more drinks “okay I’m ready.” Elbows on the table and head on his hands he just stares at me

“Stop you’re being creepy.” Looking away I know I have to tell him. “Okay just don’t get mad or freak out.”
“I’m ready.”
“I was not feeling well these past weeks so this morning I went to the doctors and I know why I’m feeling this way.”
“Yeah.”
“Jake, I’m pregnant and I don’t know who the father is.” Hiding my face with my hands I can already see his expression. Confused and angry. Minutes pass and he hasn’t said a word. “Jake. Did you hear me?”
“Sorry just let me.” Getting up he walks back and forth “so you have a baby? Are you okay? Does it hurt? I can’t I don’t. Are you taking your pills?”
“Jake use complete sentences please. It’s not that crazy, is it? I mean not knowing who did it, is crazy but getting knocked up I think is okay. Well not okay but, and no I’m not taking my pills.” looking at him he looks worried “Jake just tell me it’s going to be okay.” I look down and start to sob.
“Oh Kia you’ll be fine. Please don’t cry, I hate it when you cry. Come on let me take you home.”
Helping me up, he takes my arm and strolls us out. The whole way home I’m silent; all these thoughts are flying through my head. Then I remember my phone and who I text earlier, Stacey. Swiping my phone on I see her name and I get the chills.
‘You mean One Direction!?’
“Okay I think I have a lead on the guy.”
“You remember him? Who is it?” pulling off to my apartment driveway Jake parks in the shade and we both do some investigation.
“Kia this is the guy, he totally matches the description.” showing me his phone I see a picture of him
“Looks like his name is Liam. Liam Payne. Huh I guess you like that.”
“That’s him. Oh god Jake that’s the guy. What’s his name, Liam.”
“Kia he’s a celebrity with money. Look at all his fans, it’s crazy.”
“Jake I met him at his concert. We went out for drinks and dancing or I don’t know. I woke up that morning and I was nearly naked. Jake he said we didn’t do anything, you think he lied to me?”
“Well it seems he has girls falling at his feet and you,” looking at me he smirks “you are different. He probably thought he could change that.”
“He’s the only guy that came close, and that was two months ago. I’m two months pregnant Jake, what do I do!” I start to cry again.
“Kee,” patting my back “maybe you should contact him and tell him. Who knows perhaps he is the father or he knows who is. Or you can just forget about him and do this all on your own, either way it’s up to you, not me or Maya.”
“Jake,” I say with deep sincerity “how can I contact a famous guy? I obviously don’t have his phone number or anything. And I don’t suppose he has a Facebook? Even if he did then that would mean I would have to get one.”
“Well there’s other social media site’s I know of. There’s Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram, Keek, the new one. I’m pretty sure if you try hard enough, you will find him. Now as much as I love this conversation, I need to go. I have a date at 6.”
“Well I wouldn’t want to keep you from her. Even though I need your help and everything but it’s fine. Go, leave me.” Showing him my sad face he just laughs at me “Well just letting you know I will be calling and textin you so don’t get used to not seeing me more. “
“What?”
“Bye!” slamming the car door I take my time going to the house. Maya isn’t back yet and she might have a lot of questions for me. Once inside I turn on our shared computer and start my research on Liam Payne.
