I woke up the next morning finding two girls in my bed. After staying up late last night talking, Maria and Emily had fallen asleep, and they looked too cute and peaceful for me to wake them. As I shifted in the bed, Emily made a noise signalling she was awake. She stretched out her hands over her head while yawning, and not long after Maria joined in. This was actually very interesting to watch.

“Well, good morning, sleepyheads,” I said smiling down at both of them. They both looked up at me with sleepy eyes.

“Morning to you too,” Emily then said while laughing. “Uhm…what are we all doing in Will’s bed?”

“It’s my bed now…” I answered while smiling back. I had taken over her flatmate Will’s bed. It was actually a very comfy one too, come to think of it.

“How did you guys sleep?” I said looking more towards Emily. She’d had a pretty rough night last night, and I felt a bit bad for her. No one was going to get away with messing with my friends. I was so glad when she decided to turn down Liam’s offer last night for her to join Maria and him on a hang out today when we knew Harry was going to be there. He’d been texting Maria pretty late last night, sounding a bit drunk if you ask me. He was lucky we were even awake! Maria had accepted his offer, as both Em and I were cheering her on. She looked so happy when she was with him and talking about him. I liked Liam. He was so genuine.

“I’m hungry you guys… Do we have any food?” Maria said while yawning. Like me, she wasn’t very much of a morning person. Only, today I actually felt good. I suggested to the girls that I could pop down to the shop down in Camden, which was only like five minutes away, giving them time to wakeup and get dressed. They had of course gladly accepted my offer, and not long after I was out the door.

The sun was shining and the sky was clear. I could feel the heat on my cheeks and was happy I brought my sunglasses. There weren’t many people out today either. I guess most people were at work or school today – seen not many had started their holiday yet.

As I stepped into the grocery store I looked around trying to figure out where to go. It was huge. As I walked around, putting all the stuff that the girls had asked for in the shopping cart, I suddenly saw a familiar face. Eleanor!

“Funny running into you here,” I said as I came closer to her.

“Hey! Sarah!” she said as she gave me a friendly hug. “What are you doing here? I mean, why aren’t you with the other girls?”

“Well, they’re actually still in bed – a bit tired from last night I think,” I said laughing “… And we didn’t have any food left at home, so I offered to go.”

“Oh, how nice of you! At least you weren’t forced to go… Niall and Louis are also still in bed, although I don’t think that has anything to do with them being out late last night. That’s pretty much what they do when they’re home from touring and stuff,” she smiled and started laughing. We both kept on walking down the store towards the queue.

“Did you stay much longer after we left last night then?”

“Yeah… even though I tried to get them to leave with me for ages before anyone would care to listen,” she went on. “Being the only girl isn’t always that great.”

“Oh, really? Well, yeah I see what you mean. But doesn’t Zayn’s girlfriend, Perrie, come with you sometimes?” I asked, remembering that Zayn had been on the phone with her most of the evening last night.

“I wish... She’s so busy, you know? With all the touring and stuff with Little Mix, I hardly get to see her as it is. It’s pretty much just me and the guys. I keep on begging for one of them to get a girlfriend or something so I wouldn’t have to be all alone.” She said smiling at me. “I was so happy to hear that Liam was bringing a few girls with him last night!” She was so sweet.

“Well, yeah I get what you mean. It was so nice to meet all of you guys, especially when Maria and Emily were occupied for most of the night.” I said.

“Hey, here’s an idea! Why don’t you come with me back to Niall’s place and we can hang out some more?” She said looking at me like it was the best idea she’d had in ages.

“That would be awesome! But I have to get the girls some food…” I said kind a’ sad. I really wanted to join her. She seemed like a really nice person and I knew the girls wouldn’t be up for doing much today anyways.

“Then why don’t you just drop off the groceries at your place and come over later? I’m sure Louis and Niall will still be asleep when I get home anyways.”

“Yeah, okay. Sounds good!” I said smiling back at her, while paying for the food.

“Great! If you give me your number I can text you the address. It’s only like a five minute walk from here.” She said while handing me her phone.

“Sure,” I replied then gave it back. “Here you go. I guess I’ll see you later!”

“Awesome! See you later,” she said while walking towards the door.

After I had put the groceries in the fridge and made the girls some bacon and eggs, I took a quick shower before heading out the door again. Just as I thought, the girls didn’t mind just staying at home watching TV. Maria was leaving later anyway to meet up with Liam.
Eleanor had texted me the address a couple of minutes ago and I was now walking back towards the store where I met her earlier. Niall lived only a few minutes away from there, so it wasn’t so difficult to find my way. When I got to the right address, I ended up outside a white concrete modern house with two Range Rovers in the driveway. After I rang the doorbell I heard shouting coming from the inside of the house.

“Niall! Man, you have visitors!”

…

“NIALL!”

“Just open it would you? I’m in the shower for God sake!”

I heard steps approaching before Louis opened the door and then smiled at me. “Well, look who we have here! Hi, there.”

“Hi.”

“I’m sorry about the wait, but our host is currently occupied getting off in the bathroom...” Louis said shrugging.

“I HEARD THAT!” Niall shouted from further inside the house. Louis just stood there pretending he didn’t hear a word what Niall was saying. I tried not to laugh.

“So, I guess you’re not here to see the Irish fellah?” He then said, and before I could answer Eleanor came running down the stairs.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you over the music I was playing upstairs. Come on in, Sarah! Don’t mind the guys. They’re a bit weird…” She said while grabbing my arm, pulling me inside of the house.

“Hey! I’m your boyfriend, remember?” Louis said hurt.

“Of course you are!” she then said while giving him a quick kiss.

“That’s what I thought!” He then smiled, now looking proud and happy. They were so cute together.

I got the full tour of the house from Eleanor and Louis. It was huge! It had four bedrooms, all with it’s own bathroom and walk-in closet. The downstairs living room, connecting to the kitchen, was like the rest of the house, very well decorated with a modern design. It wasn’t difficult to tell that Niall wasn’t the one behind all this. Apart from the room in the basement they called the ‘gaming-room’, it was all very well put together.

After spending some time in the outside in the backyard talking, Eleanor and I had made some lunch for the bunch of us. We sat down back outside in the dining area next to a big fireplace before starting to eat.

“Good job, girls,” Louis complemented us as he took another bite from the pasta salad.

“Thanks,” we both answered in unison.

“So, Sarah. Any boyfriends I should know about?” Niall then said while putting a big bite of garlic bread in his mouth.

I almost spilled the orange juice all over the table before looking at him in disbelief. “Uhm,”

“Smooth. Very smooth, Niall!” Louis then said to my rescue before taking Eleanor’s hand. Niall just looked at him while lifting his shoulders and smiling.

I tried to speak again. “No, I don’t.” ‘And I’m not looking for any,’ I almost said, while smiling.

“Not that it would make any difference, you dumbass. I’m sorry, Niall, but your not having her. She’s mine! Besides, she’s way out of your league.” Eleanor then said while smiling at me and giving me a wink.

After we’d all finished eating we kept on talking for almost two hours, Louis making funny jokes, mostly affecting Niall or the other guys from the band. Then Eleanor asked if we could move to the living room because it was getting a bit cold outside. When we sat down on the couch, Louis looked at me,

“So, what made you leave all of a sudden yesterday? We were having such a good time with the drinking game!”

I laughed, “Yeah, we were! …But uhm … yeah, my friend Emily came back telling us she wanted to leave.”

“Oh, yeah! I remember that! Kind of bossy, isn’t she?” Niall said jokingly.

“She’s not that bad… I just think she’d had enough for the evening.” I said contemplating on telling them the whole story.

“Why? What happened?!” Eleanor then said worryingly. I guess I didn’t have a choice.

“Well, she told us that she and Harry had a bit of a misunderstanding of some sorts. I don’t know if I should tell you more than that,” I said worried I would get Harry in trouble. Not that I cared much to be honest.

“No, go on! I want to know what happened. Harry’s gonna tell me either way”, Louis then said.

“Okay, they made out. I told her not to go there, but she did anyway.” They were all now looking at me like they didn’t understand what I was saying.

“Wait. What? Harry kissed her?” He looked really amused, but then suddenly turned really confused. “So they made out? That happens. We were at a club. I don’t see what’s the big deal here.” Louis then said, obviously trying cover for his friend.

“Well, both the girls and I have heard of how he is with girls. She’s just not like that you know?” I said, trying not to step on any feet.

“Never believe what you believe in the media, Sarah. Haven’t anyone ever told you that?” Niall then said half smiling.

“What? You’re trying to tell me that it’s not true?” … Now I was confused.

“Okay, let me tell you something.” Louis then said while sitting up straight in his seat. “Harry is one of the most kind-hearted and down to earth people I have ever met. He would never take advantage of a girl in any case. Sure, he has a lot of admirers, but that doesn’t mean that he does anything with them? I was actually more surprised that he kissed her on the first night that they met. He’s not usually that forward…”

Yup, I was definitely getting more confused by the minute. “Wait. What? You’re trying to tell me that all of the rumours of him being a womanizer and a player isn’t true?”

“They are called rumours for a reason, Sarah…” Niall then said while smiling kindly at me. I guess that made sense…

“So let me get this straight, Emily took off because she thought that Harry was only trying to get into bed with her?” Eleanor said, clearly as confused as I was.

“Well, yeah… “ I said, now not knowing what to believe. “Although, I think she likes him. She was kind ‘a hurt after last night.”

“Well, this just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it?” Louis then smiled at everyone while rubbing his hands together. Maybe I was wrong… Maybe he wasn’t like that after all. But why did Emily then tell me that I was right? Maybe this was just a simple misunderstanding after all?

“Eleanor, please bring her back soon! I want to hear more about Norway and all of her funny stories,” Niall shouted as Eleanor and I headed to the hallway. It was getting kind of late and I still had to walk all the way back home.

“I’ll see what I can do!” Eleanor said laughing and holding her hands up in defence. “I’m not sure if she even wants to come back. You’re quite scary, you know,” she said jokingly and making me laugh.

“Why don’t you come by this Friday?” Louis said looking at me. “We’re having a BBQ outside in the backyard. Liam, Zayn and Harry are also coming. You could bring your friends too. Although, I’m sure Liam has already asked your friend Maria already.” He went on and we all snickered.

“Yeah, thank you. That sounds really nice actually. I have to ask Emily though - I need to speak with her about Harry. But I’m sure we’ll be there!” This was unbelievable. Who would have thought just a few days ago that I would be hanging out with the guys from One Direction?

“Great! We’ll see you then!” Louis and Niall both said in unison and then Eleanor and I walked out into the hallway.

“Thanks, again for inviting me. This was fun!” I said smiling at her.

“Yeah, it was wasn’t it? Hopefully we can hang out another time when the boys aren’t around. They can be a bit too much at times.” She said, then we both laughed. I don’t know about too much, I really liked them, but I guess it would be nice to just see Eleanor too.

“Yeah, that sounds nice!” I replied, “good night, speak to you soon,” While giving her a hug.

“Good night, Sarah. Walk home safely.”
