“ I don't know if that the best idea Aj,” I say calmly as I eat more of my dinner. We are currently sitting at the dinner table eating our spaghetti and discussing him going out to a club with friends. He sighs
“ your probably right but, I think they're right.. I mean I barely see them anymore and I just...” he trails off. Normaly your legal guardian and someone who is 13 years older than you deostn ask if he can go drinking. But this is different, Aj is just over coming his alcohol problem. Im posotiv ehe can kick this, but im worried if he goes out the temptation will be to much , and he'll cave.
“I'm always right” he laughs.
“Zee, I think im gonna go out. Ill be good I swear.” I sigh.
“alright, no drinking please.” he bites his lip and nods “ promise me Adrien” he smiles
“ I promise Zee” I stand up and take my dish to the sink. And start to fill the sink with warm soappy water *ring *ring * . quickly I dry my hands off and pick up the phone.
“hello?”
“HEY AZZY!” Harry my best friend of ten years screams over the phone.
“what do you want dork” I tease
“ why your company tonight” he laughs “ Gemmas having her boyfriend over for dinner, she wants you to meet him and I was thinking you could stay the night” I smile. Yes we spend the night at each others houses, in the same room. He's my absolute best friend.
“sounds like a plan. I'll inform the boss” I joke, I hear is confirmation.i quickly hang up, promising to call back soon. And head off in search of my couisn. Padding down the hall to Aj's room. Peeking in hes just tugging a loose t-shirt over his head.
“ go with the white tee, and the blue flannel button up, ive been with you when you wear that, all the girls can't keep their eyes off of you.” I inform him quietly. He smiles and quickley changes. He turns around and im sitting cross legged on his comfy bed. Smiling.
“ I know that look Sinclaire what do you want.”
“ Harry called, he wants me for dinner and to spendteh night. Can I?”
“ you can absolutely go for dinner, and spend the night kiddo.” I smile.
“ thank you!” I run off down the hall to pack my bag, throwing in my clothes and some pj shorts. I stuff my cell charger and some cash into the bag. Then I'm ready to go. I dont need my tooth brush, makeup or hair brush I have a double of almost everything at His house, and half my wardrobe. I quickly tug on a Pretty Dress and some sandal, doing my makeup nicely, and brushing out my long hair.and style it into curls.as always I'm Careful to wear bracelets to cover my scars. Grabbing my coat, and bag, I meet Aj in the kitchen. I grab my keys and phone off of the counter.
“alright im heading out, have fun and please be good.” I smile and give him a quick hug
“ I will I love you, and have fun Zee” I smile and he kisses my cheek. With that im out the door and biking down the street to Harrys. I park my bike and walk intot eh house, not even a knock. I'm met by a hug that nearly sends me to the floor. “BEST” harry shrieks. I giggle.
“harry!!”
“ oh ive missed you.” he steps back “ you look lovely, Gemma's gonna me really happy!” his eyes take in my bracelets, and his smile fades. He grabs my arm and pulls me gently to his room where im set on the edge of his bed. He moves the jewelry around and plants soft kisses on the insides of my scarred wrists. “ their new” he chokes out I nod, avoiding his glance. “why?”
“ Aj, has been talking about the bar, and I just Im worried...” my voice cracks. He kisses my wrist again before standing up and adjusting the jewelry back to the right position. He pulls me to my feet and kisses my cheek,
“ I love you zee”
“ I love you too Hazza” I smile and we go down the stairs to meet the company. I'm forcing the tears back. But I feel happy in His home.
